Great house and location

Our stay here was so lovely! It’s a great location. The house was perfect for our big group of 10. Will come back next year!

My husband and I spent a week with my parents and our dog at this quirky but functional modern home in September 2026.The location of this house has so much going for it: a network of quiet and beautiful trails right off the property, uncomplicated access to several Atlantic beaches including Cahoon Hollow, and a very short drive to Wellfleet center. Despite the fact that this home is on a corner lot, with the side yard against a relatively busy road, the brush created a good visual barrier for our dog and the bedrooms are all located on the far side of the building. It was so serene and we loved falling asleep to the katydids and the sounds of the wind in the trees.You could in theory walk to the Atlantic beaches from here, but it would be a hike and you’d want to take the trails. The road to the beaches is narrow and winding with many points of poor visibility - not ideal for biking or walking. I really appreciated the cotton linens and lovely quilts. We enjoyed all being able to gather around the TV in the enormous bonus living room at night. It appeared to have previously served as an oversized garage. The original living room was perfect for reading in the mornings and we enjoyed the lovely view out the back. The mid-century cinderblock exterior construction has made for some interesting quirks, mostly in the location of the light switches and electrical outlets. Those with limited vision or mobility may find some of the flooring transitions problematic.

great location

This house is in a great location. Along with being able to walk to Long Pond, which we did often, there are numerous trails from the back of the house leading onto the woods and to other ponds and vistas. Its a great house if you have a dog who likes to walk.

winter vacation

The house was very comfortable, clean and had a well stocked kitchen. There was plenty of room for our group of 8 adults and we enjoyed playing ping pong and other games as well as taking trips into Provincetown for the shopping and to the beaches for the beautiful winter beaches. We would definitely stay here again.

Great girls getaway

Had a lovely stay. Was perfect for my elderly mom. All one level. Perfect # of bedrooms for our group. We had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Property managers were attentive.

Lovely!

We had an excellent stay. The house met all our needs for our 3 family reunion. We had a minor glitch on a stained rug that was promptly removed. Del Mar’s response time and communication were overall fantastic. The large family room was fabulous for hang-out time. The kitchen was well-stocked for cooking. The location was superb - a short walk to the pond! Such easy access to the beach! We had a great time!

Spacious house near pond

We loved our stay in Wellfleet and would recommend this house to others. We were surprised at first by the proximity to long pond road (which you can’t tell from the pictures) but it turned out to be very quiet at night. The house is spacious and well organized. We were a party of 9 (4 adults and 5 children) and there was plenty of space for everyone. The large living room/dining room was wonderful for grownup evenings, since all the bedrooms are on the other side of the house. The house has everything one may need, is clean and tidy, and we found ourselves at home easily. We loved the fact that it was a short walk from Long Pond and a 3’ drive to downtown Wellfleet. The outdoor space is very nice too, nestled in the tree, with no neighbors in sight. The ping pong table in the basement was an added bonus for the kids. We highly recommend and would love to come back.

Great stay for our family of four plus a dog. Easy check-in and entry. Loved the simple mid-century modern design, decor, and furniture. It was lovely to be surrounded by greenery with very large windows in both the sitting room/parlor as well as the master bedroom. It was well more than enough for us - spacious layout with good separation of rooms and spaces. Lots of thoughtful extras - excellent set of dishes, cutlery, appliances (could use a couple more pans & small kitchen gadgets though), entire set of items for outdoor activities like camp chairs, floats, picnic items, bike gear, and more. Was very clean though a couple spots showed signs of wear and needing upgrades (not lack of cleanliness). Nice large TV - enjoyed watching a World Cup match on it! We were extremely careful with our dog, using mats/towels we brought from home, and didn't allow him on any furniture, but it did seem like a dog had visited a couple of the fabric chairs before us, which we didn't mind but someone else might. Close to Long Pond beach (dogs not allowed :-(), and cute town of Wellfleet. Note that property is also near high tension power lines, if that's something you care about. Only downside: it was on the expensive side for what it was (as well as a pet fee) but we made a last minute reservation & didn't have much choice. Recommend!
