This beautifully finished and decorated four bedroom, three bath home has classic Key West architecture and is located on a charming tree lined street in Truman Annex. The custom designed two story home has an open floor plan on the main level with separate living and dining areas including a full bath and guest bedroom. The huge porch, perfect for entertaining, overlooks the large rear yard with pool and is accessed from the living area through two sets of French doors. Upstairs the spacious master suite opens to a private porch and the two guest rooms share a bath and porch.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Stayed a week here with family for my daughter’s wedding! It was a great space and perfect location to the venues for all the events!! The neighborhood was a a great backdrop for wedding photos as well! Would love to stay here again.

So fun!

The house was wonderful! Perfect location and the pool was wonderful except it needed cleaning. You guys were so helpful and made our trip that much better.

Reviewer Comments: Good Afternoon all - please note the following:The pool was dirty and unusable the entire time we were there - never once was it cleaned, understanding the wind etc. The exterior car port lights do not work, which is a frustrating at night. A few of the ceiling lights did not work at all, in the kitchen. There was water dripping out of the A/C duct in the kitchen - towels and a bucket were left there. My wife reported this on the Sunday, and did not hear back from anyone that the repair was rectified. The shower head in the master bathroom, needs replacing - the center of the head does nothing. Whilst I am saying I would recommend the property to others below, the fact is that improvements to 514 Emma, should be actioned. We plan to be in Key West next year for the races, as we have been for the past 3 years. We pay a premium for these residences, and unfortunately feel the house did not meet our expectations. Happy to discuss further, if need be, anytime - my number is. Thanks, and have a great evening!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I stayed with four other girlfriends for one week in this property. It was absolutely wonderful! Everything inside the house, furniture, rugs, bedding, etc. was well-maintained, and everything was in working, order . We had no problems. My bed and the bed of my friends were all super comfortable. The outside was lush and private, and very beautiful. The house looks exactly the way it does online. We loved it so much that we’re planning to book it again for next year.

A Gem in Key West's Truman Annex

We were celebrating the 20th anniversary of my husband's 40th birthday -- which we'd spent in Key West (the theme then was A Pirate Looks at 40; original, I know). In any event, this was truly one of the nicest properties I've rented through VRBO. The house was lovely, fitting in the neo-traditional neighborhood that is Truman Annex. Well-equipped and comfortable; we had every thing we needed. Lush landscaping and gorgeous outdoor space. The pool could use an update, but it didn't hinder our enjoyment of it. And, most importantly, the location was awesome. We could get anywhere we wanted either on foot or via the bikes we'd rented. Beach, bar and restaurant. I would definitely stay here again.

Spring Break in Key West

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house and location were suburb. We had several maintenance issues while there, but most were addressed promptly. Grill was usable but the grate needs to be replaced, TV did not work properly, locks were either stuck or difficult to secure. Two kitchen cupboards were off their hinges. The grout on all three of the showers' tile floor was blackened with mold which was extremely unsightly. Dishwasher functioned but racks were missing wheels so difficult to maneuver. Fundamental maintenance has been overlooked. While basic supplies (TP, paper towels dish soap), were barely furnished, there was no dishwasher soap. While that is a small item, I truly believe for the cost of the weekly rental all of those items should have been generously available. Stair carpet and outside white chair cushions were very soiled and and somewhat moldy. I know these descriptions make the house seem less than ideal, but as I said it is a beautiful house in a great location that just needs some more care.

Her kitchen is well appointed and modern. The pool is a welcome respite after a long day of sightseeing and shopping. She has a huge outdoor table for dining or games under fans in the evenings. A wonderful home away from home!

Great location

The house was as described and we enjoyed our stay. The pool could use a little updating and more towels in the kitchen would have been nice ( there were none so we purchased some). Otherwise the place was great and we would recommend

Pool was not clean, and the pool chairs should be cleaned and around the pool to be used - they were stored in the parking overhang and dirty - not ideal. A/C had issues twice, which made evenings uncomfortable. I would stay there again, as the location works great for race week. Compass staff were helpful and kind - thank you!! Hope to be back next year

The pool desperately needs an upgrade. It’s in bad condition. The locks on a few if the glass doors need to be repaired. The one knob continued to fall off every time. The master bedroom glass door did not lock. It was out of alignment. Finally, the rugs need to be cleaned better.

The outdoor space is very private and has a great pool! Queen Emma is located near great restaurants, The Waterfront Park, Mallory square and Fort Zachery State Park. There are plenty of activities to see and do! We will definitely be back to this location! Compass reality was professional, kind and accommodating!

Family Vacation

We had a great time on our family vacation!! We were a group of 6. The location was perfect for our 20 something kids to walk to bars and restaurants. Something to do for everyone. The bike rental at We Cycle is super close to the house so it was really easy to rent bikes. Ft Zachary Taylor beach was lovely and also really close to the house. Everyone in our group said the house and location was perfect and we would definitely rent this house again!!

Queen Emma is wonderful!

We truly enjoyed this house. The backyard is private and the pool is the perfect size for a small group. The patio is set with a beautiful table and chairs for outdoor dining. The kitchen is very well stocked for cooking and has ample refrigeration and freezer space.

DeCosta's Get away!

Reviewer Comments: Overall a great experience and have rented the same house for November 2023. Smoke detector sounded in the lower bedroom and had to be disconnected. There are others which were already disconnected in other rooms, upon our arrival - they should all be checked, cleaned and re-installed. Pool was somewhat dirty and the interior of the washing machine needed cleaning. Otherwise, loved the house and was happy with how clean everything was upon arrival. Regarding the parking bay, opposite the car port - we were told that it belonged to 514 Emma street , by two of the neighbors, however the office confirmed it did not - still unclear on this

Perfect

The property was very nice. I loved the kitchen. And I cooked quite a bit while I was there. There were four couples that stayed. The only issue that we had was that the hair dryer was broken and there was only one in the house. Which we kind of expected there to be more but I don't know if that's realistic expectation. The space was wonderful. We did not have enough space for trash because it gets picked up only once a week so we ended up overloading the trash cans. But if that's the worst thing that's going to happen it's not a big deal. We would definitely stay at the house again the location was perfect. It was far enough away from Duval Street that it was quiet when you needed it to be. And it was close enough that the walk was short or the bike ride was short.

Beautiful Property

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have stayed at Queen Emma under different ownership in the past. It's a fantastic property with a great outside space to cool off with the pool & relaxing or outdoor dining. It is well situated to many restaurants and bars. We stayed here with four couples and this time with our family of five adults. Plenty of room. I do have to say this time, though, I felt the property declined a tad with filthy carpeting upstairs which I took a video of and sent to Compass Realty with no response. I wouldn't walk on it barefoot! I expected more for the $$$ spent to rent for a week. Cleanliness is most important and it doesn't take much to shampoo the carpet. Communication with Compass Realty was great before arrival but once there I contacted them for a ironing board and was given a countertop small one with the promise of a full-size board to arrive. I had to remind them about the iron board when I received the small one and gave up when days passed without the full ironing board delivery. I also contacted them about the Damage Waiver upon my return home without any reply. Compass Realty can do much better. I paid a $350 cleaning fee but emptied every garbage and started a load of towel and stripped all beds...yet they could pay to have the carpets cleaned. The contract states "Compass agrees to provide the Premises in clean condition." I would still like to know if and when I will receive the Damage Waiver fee since no there was no damage to the property. Overall, I love the property but wish it was cleaned properly for our stay, that Compass would respond to communications and follow through with delivery of items if requested.
