This charming two-story home on quiet cul-de-sac was designed for your vacationing pleasure! With stunning views of Washington’s State Capitol Building, Capitol Lake, and Mt Rainier, incredible scenery with wild space and old-growth forest are right outside.

Westfield Mall, and downtown life all less than a mile away. TheOverlook includes a master bedroom with queen bed encompassing the night-light of the Capitol dome. A north bedroom has bunk bed with twin upper, full lower, and a trundle twin underneath with the room easily sleeping five. Downstairs has a full queen bed also with commanding views and walk-out access to the lower deck. Fully supported, completely new kitchen and open dining primarily configured for large family gatherings. Two large living rooms, one upstairs and one downstairs seating eight easily. Entertainment provided with full subscription Hulu, Netflix, and AppleTV. Industrial sized washer and dryer downstairs near the lower level living space. The property is at the end of Foote Street with covered private parking for 2 vehicles. Three more vehicles have off-street parking between TheOverlook and the host property next door.

Family trip

Fantastic house. The pictures are great but they don't do the house justice. One of the nicest places we've stayed. The view from the back of the house is amazing. Very comfortable well appointed house. Well stocked kitchen. Close to restaurants and highway access while still being in a quiet neighborhood. Beds were a little firm for our taste but we were still comfortable. Would certainly try to stay here again if we were in the area.

Amazing family friendly get away

The pictures don’t do the place justice! Gorgeous house decked out with everything you could need. The space is very family friendly. My girls (4, 1.5) loved the little hidden room beneath the stairs and the giant plush bean bag and the bunk beds. There were also toys, books, highchair and pack and play. There’s even a retractable baby gate on the stairs! The views are amazing. We loved hanging out on the deck and watching the birds. The hosts live next door and are extremely friendly and welcoming. Location is perfect for easily getting around to activities in Olympia. We look forward to booking a time to come back soon!

Best in Olympia

The Overlook is simply the best place to stay in Olympia. We call it our “home away from home” and we’ve stayed here for the past 4 years! The space, the views, the neighborhood….all are excellent.

From our first conversation with the host to our post stay communication these lovely people were stellar.. The house and location were fantastic and the view over capital lake inspiring.. the kitchen will please ANY foodie and the deck is amazing.. look no further.. this place is a WINNER..

Another Great Stay at The Overlook

This was the third or fourth time our siblings have enjoyed staying at The Overlook. The kitchen and dining room are a great space for gathering, playing games, etc. We love it so much that we have already booked for next year!

Fabulous house for family gathering

Beautiful house that made our graduation celebration feel like home for out-of-town family members. Great location with beautiful view. We loved the relaxing balcony. A perfect spot to see birds and even barred owls.

Beautiful views and great location

The property is tucked away in a quiet corner of a nice neighborhood. Great views as the pictures reflect. The house has easy access to downtown and West Olympia. Owners were communicative and flexible. We had a great experience.

Stunning Views in Quiet Neighborhood

Beautiful environment around this well decorated and well equipped home on the Puget Sound in Olympia. Super clean and the hosts provided some special items for our comfort. We felt welcome, and would recommend this rental to anyone.

Awesome Place!

Our family had a wonderful stay. Chris and Ashlynn were excellent hosts. The place is spacious with wonderful views over the lake and at the state capitol. We especially enjoyed the the well equipped kitchen where we socialized and cooked a lot! We had a family gathering and the space was very conducive to everyone hanging out and relaxing. The fire place is a great touch and the bedroom view is special.

We love this place!

Once again our group of four women friends stayed at The Overlook and once again we were warmly welcomed by Chris and Ashlynn and had a perfect stay in their lovely home. The house has everything anyone could need for a comfortable stay, right down to a few treats in the fridge. We had wood for the fire, plenty of towels, a well-equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, an excellent conversation area, and an amazing view. We can hardly wait to stay there again next year!

Beautiful views of Capital Lake

Was an awesome trip to Olympia at The Overlook. My family and friends really enjoyed the space. Plenty of room to stretch out for everyone. Accommodations were comfortable welcoming and everyone felt at home throughout our stay. Chris and Ashlynn were great communicative hosts. They did a lot of little things to make sure we had a great stay from chocolates, to adult beverages in the fridge, nice smelling candles, peanuts for the native bluejays... things felt intentional to make guests feel welcomed. The house had beautiful views off the deck and a less than mile walk you are in town or can walk capital lake. If we are back in Olympia we will likely look to return to The Overlook and would highly recommend for anyone else visiting Olympia.

Outstanding place in ever way!!!

This is a beautiful home! The pictures don’t really capture the gorgeous views or the spaciousness of the property. The supplies in the kitchen. bathrooms and laundry room are great. The art and books, games, toys are wonderful. Chris and Ashlynn are so responsive and helpful. We want to come back to the area and will want to stay here again!

Great place to stay while getting to know Olympia

My husband and I wanted to get some time to experience Olympia and this turned out to be a great place to do that. A great view of the lake and the capitol building with decks that made it easy to take advantage of the view and the wooded surroundings. The house was clean and well appointed - we didn't have any problems. We walked at lot in the neighborhood, found great places to eat (Hash is an easy walk for a good breakfast), biked on the Chehalis Western Trail (a paved multi-use trail just a short drive from the house) and enjoyed watching the birds devour their treats from the feeders. The owners were very nice. We still have more to explore in the area so will likely return.

Family Reunion

This house is so nice. Very well equipped. Maintained very well. Plenty of space for gathering in the kitchen. Nice spacious deck. Beautiful view of the capital and lake. Convenient to downtown. Great location. Have stayed at the house twice and would have stayed more but our family reunions were canceled due to COVID or it wasn’t available. Easy and efficient communication with the hosts.

Beautiful House and Beautiful Location

The rental house was awesome. It was very clean and well maintained. The property owners (who live next door) were great to deal with. The views of the Sound from the back deck were amazing. The location was great for us. We went to Seattle for a day, spent several days hiking Olympic National Park, and enjoyed the local area as well. I definitely recommend this property.

Great Location and Excellent Hosts

The property was very nice in a quiet neighbourhood and in a great location near Olympia’s downtown. The view from the deck was also spectacular. The house is very modern with all the amenities we could ask for. There was plenty of room for the 8 of us to stay comfortably together. The complementary beers were also a great touch! Chris and Ashlynn were very responsive for any questions we had and were able to help us quickly gain entry to the place when we were having trouble with the door code. Overall, we had a great experience and only wish to have been able to stay longer. Hopefully we will be back sometime soon! Thanks for a great experience! Liam

Absolute fantastic house. ❤️

Pictures on line are good but don’t do justice to this great house with views to die for. We stay in lots of VRBO’s and this was one of the best. Prolly the BEST kitchen set up ever. Plenty of towels, bedding, blankets, etc for a big family even though we were only 2😂. Location was fantastic with many great restaurants within 5 minutes. There is a private downstairs area with a large bedroom and living area that we never used except to do the laundry which is in a separate back corner of the downstairs area. We can usually find something that is not great about most places we have stayed in but this is as close to perfect as you can get. Anyone with mobility problems would need to be a bit careful with the steps going downstairs but other than that you will be impressed.

Absolutely Amazing View.

Beautiful Home with absolutely amazing views. Beautiful Kitchen had everything you could possibly need and more...Well, maintained home in a quiet neighborhood. Location is perfect, we had a wonderful time. We came up to watch our daughter graduate. Owners are very nice.
