Wouldn't go back

When we arrived we didnt have our parking permit. We request one but never received it. There were missing vertical blinds. We did find them on the floor. The place had a musty smell. Later we found out there had been water problems. We had maintenance workers walk into the place without notice. The pool is small.

Location was good, place was dated but clean, elevator very loud at night hard to sleep. We had a locked bicycle stolen from the property. Pool was heated and very nice.

Condo Updates

Overall property was very nice. enjoyed the pool, pickleball courts, and fishing dock. Our condo unit could have been a lot cleaner. TV not set up to work nor instructions on how to get a pass word to connect. We used our own ROKU to watch TV. Microwave needs replacing because you can hardly see the digital readout. Lines are old and only 3 wash rags were provided for two bathrooms. No potholders in the kitchen to handle hot items. NO SMOKE/FIRE alarms available in the condo unit. Why only one guest key for the entry door? Should have at least two keys or keyless entry. Might suggest getting a better cleaning company. Floors were dirty, not sandy, but dirty. In the ad we were led to believe the beaches were an easy short walk from the condo unit. Beach access is 3/4 mile to one beach and 1 mile to the other. Big disappointment to us not having easy beach access. The people in the condo complex were friendly and John the maintenance man did a very good job of keeping the premises clean.

A little disappointed

The facility of Bay Oaks Condos is somewhat worn. Elevator was always dirty. Pool often did not have heat but it was large in size There were only 17 lounge chairs in total which was not enough for a facility of this size Our condo had old furniture & the master bedroom bed caused back pain as it was so old and uncomfortable There were no hand towels yet there were two bathrooms There was only one key provided which made impossible to get in & out of the pool unless I was with my husband I tried numerous times to communicate with owners who did not handle the situation & it made my three week visit very uncomfortable

Washer and dryer should be replaced. It is wired for a disposal, but there was no disposal. Lack of garbage disposal is unacceptable. The kitchen was well stocked

No direct beach access, large ceiling tile missing in master bath, no TV in guest bedroom

Every thing in condo was dated, Granddaughter rented in complex and her condo was completely renovated and we both paid same price.

Dirty

Dirty old stained kitchen towels, bedding was cheap and rough , shower door fell off, tub didnā€™t drain, no beach towels as advertised , TV didnā€™t work, everything outdated, cupboards disorganized, dollar store utensils, bugs and dirt in overhead lighting, all lamp shades wobbly, drawers filled with old moldy phone books that give an old odor to unit.

Great experience for our family

This place was the perfect location to siesta beach, downtown for restaurants and easy access to the boat rentals. The pool was very clean and the condo had what we needed for a family with going kids. We donā€™t spend much time inside so for sleeping and for making food it was great and having a washer and a dryer in the condo was ideal. Also having a parking spot was wonderful. Thanks for a great vacation!

Property review of B-32 Bay Oaks - One person stayed there.

1. Missing items from condo that I had to go out and purchase: 2. No garbage can or garbage bags in kitchen. 3. Only on blanket. Had to go out and purchase one. 4. No dish soap. 5. The master closet had a wet bath towel hanging in there. I had to clean up this area.

Pleasant stay, some letdowns

We had an overall good time at the property. The only not quite positive thing was that the floors were not clean when we arrived and with a toddler around, this was not ideal. I notified the property manager, Mark, and he was always very responsive and helpful, however, the lady that was supposed to come and sweep/mop floors never came by. We ended up buying a mop and cleaning the floors ourselves. Also, furniture is way too old: couch, beds, and other furniture are past their good times, if this is helpful to anyone looking for that comfort.
