The Pine Cabin is a serene and beautifully appointed Northwoods getaway where comfort meets natural beauty. Nestled on the shores of peaceful Kitten Lake, part of the Wildcat Lake Chain, this inviting lakeside cabin offers guests a perfect blend of rustic charm and modern amenities.

Located just four miles north of Boulder Junction, a beloved Northwoods destination, The Pine Cabin is ideally situated for relaxation and recreation alike. Anglers will appreciate access to a 375-acre Class A Musky Lake, while outdoor enthusiasts will delight in year-round activities such as fishing, boating, biking, hiking, golfing, snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, and snowshoeing.

Designed to accommodate up to six guests, the cabin features a private pier and a lakeside screened porch offering tranquil lake and sunset views. Inside, guests are welcomed by a warm and inviting living area complete with a cozy gas fireplace. The newly updated kitchen boasts granite countertops, a full-size refrigerator, electronic-start gas stove, microwave, coffee maker, and blender, and is fully equipped with all essential cookware and utensils.

Modern conveniences include Wi-Fi, a 55” flat-screen television with Spectrum streaming, a DVD player, board games, and a home phone with complimentary nationwide calling. Outdoors, a private firepit and comfortable lawn furniture provide the perfect setting for evening gatherings beneath the stars.

The cabin’s three bedrooms and two full bathrooms are thoughtfully arranged for comfort and privacy. The loft-level master suite features a king bed and private full bath, while the main level offers one bedroom with a queen bed, another with two twin beds, and a second full bathroom. Linens and towels are provided for your convenience.

The Pine Cabin offers a rare combination of charm, comfort, and timeless Northwoods beauty. Whether you visit in summer for lakeside relaxation or in winter for a peaceful snowy escape, each season brings its own special magic.

Family weekend getaway

We were very pleased with our stay and the cabin was great very relaxing. Caught some fish, boating, went sightseeing saw lots of animals. Will definitely be returning when the warmer weather is around was a bit chilly while we were there only one day with sun

Quiet and Comfortable Getaway

The location of this cabin is tucked away where there are other cabins around but it feels like you are there by yourself. For this time of year, there was snow still on the trees and it was beautiful. Although we were the only one there, it feels like this cabin could fit an additional couple comfortably. Definitely would consider coming back again.

New Year Cheer

The cabin was a good size for two couples. A bit too small for 6 during the winter. A great screen-in porch over looking the lake. Since it was winter it made for an extra frig. LOL Easy to get to snowmobile trails. Would enjoy coming again for a snowmobile weekend.

Great cabin

We really enjoyed our stay. There is a lot packed into this cabin- 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, all squeaky clean. The kitchen is stocked with anything you might need, there are great suggestions for local activities. The host is very responsive to all communication. We would definitely stay again, in any season.

Excellent stay!

My husband and I have been trying different lakeside cabins in the area over the past few years in search of the perfect fishing getaway, and we found it! It had all the desired amenities, area was quiet and fishing on the lake was excellent. We will certainly be back! Thank you, Sandy!

Beautiful cabin

This was a beautiful cabin and a great place to get away. We will definitely stay again if we get the chance. Great communication from Sandy made the experience very easy. The entire experience was awesome.

Peaceful Paradise!

Sandy’s cabin is absolutely wonderful, and offered the complete peace and quiet I was looking for to recharge after a stressful and chaotic year. It was impeccably clean, incredibly comfortable, and the cozy touches like the Christmas tree on the porch and balsam candle were much appreciated. It was such a treat having coffee on the dock in the morning, and seeing the Milky Way at night. Just a few minutes from Boulder Junction and easy drives to great hiking and the other towns in the Northwoods. I can’t wait to come back!

Beautiful cabin in the Northwoods

Sandy was great! The renting process was a breeze and there was always communication between us. She even gave us a couple recommendations for viewing wildlife and waterfalls. The cabin by the lake.....in the snow was like a Christmas postcard!

We went to the wrong door for the key to the lock box. - just a little better description of how to get find the lock box key. But, we are guys and did not read the instructions that well.

Beautiful Fall Giveway

This is a lovely, cozy cabin that is updated just enough and is beautifully decorated. The living room and kitchen are smaller than what I anticipated, but worked out fine for us. It actually contributed to the cozy feel and I would not change it. The cabin is about a five minute drive from the town of Boulder Junction where there are a few shops, small grocery store, and restaurants. Its a cute town. Minocqua was the next largest town and was about a 30 minute drive. There is a larger grocery store there, Wal-Mart, McDonald's, etc. Pro's and Con's listed below. We would return again. Pro's: The location on the lake is ideal. The lake is beautiful and calm. The cabin was clean and beautifully decorated. The furniture was nice as well. The washer and dryer came in handy. Best features: fire pit, big deck, three season porch, fireplace, living room furniture, kayak and paddle board, private deck, amazing property, and stunning sunsets. If visiting in warmer weather, the cabin is setup with everything you would need for an enjoyable time. The owners have thought of everything. The check-in process was easy and the owner was easy to reach with questions. Con's: I am going to get really picky here just to share our experience, but none of these "cons" would prevent us from returning. It really was great. The cabins are close together. This was not a problem in October when we visited because the cabins were unoccupied, but be prepared to be close to your neighbors. There is a house across from the cabin that is a permanent residence. There is no dishwasher and the oven is on the smaller side. The cabin is carpeted. With the fall weather and leaves, we were sure to take our shoes off at the door, but I did worry about tracking in leaves, etc. A few light bulbs were out.

Family vacation

Beautiful place! Extremely well stocked kitchen. Great stand up paddle board and double kayak. Enjoyed the plethora of games, etc. Loved the porch! Awesome having laundry. Kitchen eating area was small, but other than that everything was perfect!

When I was 6 years old my family vacationed at Wildcat Lodge. My dad and other relatives also went up there every year while I was growing up. While vacationing in 2009, Jeff Long, a local Realtor in Boulder Junction brought me to Wildcat Lodge to see if I remembered staying there. I did not remember it, because they had built all new cabins since I was young, but I could tell right then that Wildcat Lodge Resort was a very special place and it would be a dream come true if I could own one of the cabins. When The Pine Cabin became available, I did everything I could to purchase it. In the few short years that I have owned it, I cannot even begin to tell you the amazing memories that have been made staying at The Pine Cabin.

It is in a prestigious resort in the Northwoods with clean, and updated cabins. The view from the Pine cabin is amazing, especially from the screen porch. You not only see the lake in front, but also on the side of the cabin where the lake goes around the point.

Words can't describe the peaceful and serene feeling you get with the view from the cabin. Something about looking out at the lake gives you a calming feeling that you can't describe. Good memories are made here.
