The Alamar Resort, overlooking the quaint fishing village of La Cruz de Huanacaxtle, boasts many extra amenities including a private Beach Club and Pool, Jungle Club with infinity pool, lighted paddle tennis courts, fitness center and beautiful landscaping throughout the property. The Beach Club and the Jungle Club both feature large heated infinity pools, beautiful ocean views, deluxe cabanas, teak lounges, changing rooms, freshwater showers and children's play area. Alamar and La Cruz

The Alamar condo complex is absolutely beautiful. Our condo was on the ninth floor and we had fantastic views of La Cruz and Bandaras Bay. The town of La Cruz was one of the highlights of our stay. The people and restaurants were amazing. The owner of the condo was easily accessible and very accommodating. The pool facilities were first class.

Great Views

Condo has beautiful views from the 9th floor. Size of the unit made it very comfortable for the size of our group. The unit is at the top of a hill so if your walking its a trek, but Bus stop is very close so public transportation is very easy to use. Usually ubered or got a taxi home if out late to avoid having to walk that hill.

Fantastic stay

We spent 2 weeks in this property. Six adults. The view is amazing! So much so that I actually enjoyed waking up for sunrise's. We did not rent a car personally but if you have trouble walking you would probably want it to get into town. Ask about water delivery dates and procedures procedures. Definitely one of the better stocked kitchens we have rented hfoletting us aceVRBO.

Great trip, location is good but you need a car or taxis. Find good taxi and get personal number. Grounds and condo are beautiful and well equipped. Tom is very responsive, everyone is very friendly

Very comfortable and well equipped apartment

We had a very pleasant staying in this big apartment. It has three bedrooms with three bathrooms and a generous living room/kitchen area. Being on the ninth floor, It accounts with a great view over the Bahia de Banderas. Also, because it’s very high above the jungle, no mosquitoes made into our bedrooms. The kitchen is very well equipped which is really practical specially if you’re traveling with family, You can virtually cook anything you want there. Because the tower is located on the hill, you need to consider walking down to the beach some 750 m, which depending on your age, might be tiring specially when going back because the way is rather steep. If you have a car, that is not a problem at all. You can park two compact cars on the space reserve for this apartment, which is very good. Overall, we had a great time at Tom’s location thank you very much!

A little disappointed unfortunately - lower floor condo (there are 2 condos)

I hate leaving bad reviews - I really do. But I feel I have to be honest. I've stayed in a few condos in the area for a similar price and this does not compare to them at all. The complex is beautifully kept and clean. Parking is convenient near the elevator. Pools and beach club are great. In the unit - There are numerous things broken and in disrepair. Electric sockets hanging out the wall, glass shower doors falling off the hinges. very dirty dishwasher with old food stuck to the inside. Even after I cleaned it, the plates and glasses came out dirty and cloudy - food still on the dishes. Gas stove didn't work nor did the coffee maker. Owner brought a new coffee maker. Had to get repair man for the gas stove. Internet/wifi is very poor - you can't watch TV or stream anything without a lot of buffering due to the poor internet connection. It works well enough for email and messaging. Some of the faucets are old and/or corroded and spray everywhere. There were flakes in the water from the kitchen sink faucet. These are all things that are easily fixed. Overall we enjoyed our stay because most of the time we were not in the unit, and the owner was receptive to comments, but I should not need to request repairs etc when I am on vacation.

Esta es la segunda vez que que nos hospedamos en la torre Borneo de Alamar. Al igual que el año pasado, decidí reservar el departamento 906, ya que la última vez tuvimos una experiencia muy agradable en él.Desafortunadamente, debido a un problema con el aire acondicionado (como lo informó anfitrión, por lo menos) el departamento que yo había rentado originalmente con el número 906 no estaba disponible y en su lugar recibí el departamento 301. El departamento 301 presentó algunos defectos menores y otros algo mayores, por ejemplo, que el refrigerador no funcionaba, y que la puerta de un baño se atoraba, dejando a las personas encerradas por dentro, entre otras cosas. Afortunadamente el anfitrión envió una persona para efectuar las reparaciones críticas, sin embargo, eso nos hizo perder tiempo y disminuyó la calidad de nuestra estancia. Por lo cual mi sugerencia sería hacer una inspección más profunda del estado de los departamentos, para que esto no le ocurra a otros inquilinos.Por lo demás, el complejo Alamar es muy limpio, seguro y agradable. Cabe destacar el servicio y la calidad de su club de playa.

Muy agradable el lugar, le faltaba mantenimiento al departamento

El lugar esta muy bonito, en el anuncio no hablaba de que tenias que salir del complejo y cruzar una carretera para llegar al club de playa. Aunque el departamento esta muy bonito le faltaba mantenimiento, asistieron a media semana a reparar algunas cosas sin embargo no esperas que tengas que reportar cosas por la tarifa que estas pagando. El club de playa muy bien acondicionado, muy limpio y muy buen servicio, sin embargo la playa deja que desear.

Buen alojamiento

El lugar es muy bonito, está bien equipado y vas a encontrar lo necesario para tu estancia, la playa tiene piedras pero al rededor hay playas muy bonitas a las que te puedes mover. El apartamento está retirado de la caseta y si tienes más de un carro tendrás que pagar una tarifa extra por día y subir caminando la colina que es algo pesada para adultos mayores ya que tendrás que dejar el carro en caseta. El kit de bienvenida fue un muy buen detalle, la traducción de Tom es un poco confusa por lo que puede parecer un poco malhumorado pero es un buen tipo. Las albercas son tibias y agradables, nuestra mascota estubo muy agusto pues el departamento es grande y pueden pasear muy bien.

Award winning Realtors stayed at Alamar

This was a rewards trip for my top producing US real estate agents. We rented two condos on the 9th floor. The units were spectacular and EXACTLY what we needed. Everyone had a fabulous time.

Beautiful view and development

Pros - Amazing view of the bay, fabulous terrace - Beautiful development, grounds, swimming pool - Good security, nice location (need a car) - Easy check in and check out process - Quiet development when we were there - Host was responsive via text when we had an issue with the toilet in the main bathroom and sent someone over quickly to review it - Nice sheets and towels, good quality - Fully equipped kitchen (toaster, coffee maker, etc.) - Nice touch leaving a bouquet of flowers, the drinks and candy for our arrival - really appreciated that. Cons - There are apparently two apartments under this one listing - so you could end up on the 3rd floor or the 9th floor (we weren't aware when booking - all reviews reference the 9th floor views). There is no mention of this on the listing. - The apartment didn't have the level of cleanliness that I would have expected - would recommend reviewing standards with cleaning service that is used. Not a big deal, we usually clean ourselves when we rent bc we have a baby and esp with Covid, but there weren't any cleaning supplies in the apartment either to do it ourselves (other than dish soap and a mop/broom). - Communication with the host was a bit abrupt/impatient? I know it's hard to read tone of a stranger over email, but some of the responses I received were almost shocking and I would have cancelled simply based on that (lots of other options in the region), unfortunately I booked non refundable. Overall, view is great, pool is awesome. There are some other details that would make me not want to return.

Terrific Condo

Our family had a wonderful vacation at Tom’s condo. Before we booked, he answered our questions promptly and was flexible when we wanted to come a day early at the last minute. The condo itself is spacious and the view is amazing.. The location is excellent and the grounds are spectacular. We are currently living with Covid-19 restrictions. The complex management was accommodating and opened the beautiful infinity pools when the state did not open beaches. Everything at the condo and Alamar Resort made our family trip special. We plan to return as soon as possible. Thank you Tom.

On top of the world

On our previous stay in La Cruz 3 years ago, we rented on a neighborhood street in the heart of town. This year, we decided to move up in the world, so we rented Tom's condo on the 9th floor. Wow, what a breathtaking view--day and night. We woke up to the most beautiful sunrises of our lives through the floor to ceiling windows, and the views of the ocean, marina and town provided an activity in itself. We kind of hated to have the sun go down in the evening, but then....Oh my God, those nighttime views were unparalled! Three of our nights during our stay had spectacular lightning shows--no rain, just lightning every few seconds for 4 hours straight. I had to send Tom a Thank You note in the morning for providing the once in a lifetime entertainment. He said he was happy to oblige! We hopped on the little bus and spent a day in San Pancho and another day in Punta de Mita. The other days we relaxed at the Beach Club on site luxuriating in the gorgeous pools and sipping drinks, and Sundays were fun at the fabulous market at the marina. Tom has created a very special place to enjoy La Cruz, and we are anxious to return.

Amazing and peaceful place to stay

Very happy with everything. Was very clean. View was amazing with a wonderful view of the entire bay. Sunset and sunrise view was awesome. Peaceful and quiet place to actually relax. Security guards there were extremely helpful as well in helping guide us to get to our destinations. Loved the beach club and pool. My kids' favorite part of the place especially! We couldn't have asked for a better place in full honesty and would go back here for sure!

Great location and excellent view

This place was very clean, has an excellent view and the pools are fantastic. I celebrated my birthday with a group of 15 people in different apartments but his apartment was the best!! The communication with the manager Tom was excellent. no problems we extended the stay for my friends and he was very flexible.

We selected the Alamar resort for three reasons--location, location, location. We have been vacationing and working in Mexico for over 20 years and decided to purchase at Alamar because of its close proximity to the new world-class Marina Riviera Nayarit, the great reputation of the builders (Grupo Real del Mar) and the town's safety and proximity to both Puerto Vallarta and Punta de Mita. Purchasing north of Puerto Vallarta gave us less traffic congestion and more of the 'peace and quiet' of Mexico that we were looking for. With our charter boat located in the new marina, we couldn't imagine being anywhere else. What really made up our minds are the incredible views we enjoy from the property on which the Alamar Resort is located and the extra amenities on site. Whether inside our outside, we love what we see and do here!

The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
Grupo Real del Mar did a terrific job when they designed and built the Alamar Resort. The quality of the construction in excellent, all water is filtered, the property has 24 hour security and we never worry when we are staying in our unit or traveling throughout the quaint town of La Cruz. Having two choices for swimming is terrific--sometimes we walk out our back door to the very convenient Jungle Club pool which we also enjoy lighted at night or we can also choose to head to the Beach Club and have the whole place to ourselves! What could be better? We have found the reception/security staff at Alamar to be friendly, helpful and courteous. This property is completely safe, secure and gorgeous!
