Great Stay!

Very nice place, but a little dated

House was clean and well stocked. Both decks and the hot tub were very nice! The view was good, but the main hillside you’re looking at must have burnt down. You’re looking at piles of charred wood. The decor felt like it was from the 1950’s. It felt like you were living in your grandma’s place. The couch in the upstairs living room was not very comfortable. Location was excellent! You could tell they are slowly upgrading things judiciously. Clean carpets, new stove and microwave. Some upgrades in the bathrooms. As long as you’re okay with the dated decor, I think it was a good value for the amenities and location. As a bonus, we saw a bull moose outside our bedroom window, and again in the driveway so that was really cool.

From the Owner: "Thanks so much for your nice and accurate review. We bought the house in 2017 from a 92-year-old Montana matriarch who oversaw the house and her brood for 30 years. So, yup, busted…a little grandma. We list it as rustic so it has that charm, with a pristine new hot tub and decks, new beds, a new dual-fuel gas/electric oven, microwave, two new large smart TVs, a new stackable washer/dryer, new carpet downstairs, and a fully stocked and appointed kitchen, along with upgraded bathrooms. And VERY CLEAN—but yes, rustic. That’s part of the charm, and we never aspire to have the modern chic of a New York apartment. I live there part-time, so it’s a real home, and we are slowly doing upgrades with furniture, etc. The view of Cucumber Gulch Nature Reserve was cut in 2022 by the Forest Service for a fire break to protect town. They finally burned the slash piles, and we hope that after this winter, spring will cover up the burn. We hear aspens will grow first, and the mountain views are fantastic. Thanks again for being our guest and for the feedback."

Family vacation

The house was a perfect setting for our annual family vacation. The kitchen was well stocked and we loved the hot tub and the view from the deck. A very short drive to the slopes which was perfect for us! We will be back, we love this place!

4 wheel drive required in winter

Nice location. Lost a day of skiing because we had to swap 2 wheel drive for 4 back in Denver. For those with allergies there were a lot of down comforters and pillows. The restrictions on temp (68 with some drafts) meant it was cold during the day. No recycling.

Perfect Colorado mountain cabin

We really enjoyed our stay. The view and accommodations were perfect. It was the best equipped kitchen we have ever had in a rental. The property manager and owner checked in several times before and during our stay to make sure all was well. No complaints at all.

Amazing Cabin! Close to everything with great view!

We love everything about it! the space was perfect for our week long holiday with 10 guest. Description of the cabin has super accurate, everything was clean and organized. Jacuzzi is a super plus!! and the view, wow is breathtaking. Close to town and super close to some of the lifts. I hardly recommend this stay, we will be back! 5 stars!!!

Impressions of our stay

Loved the property but it needs new furniture in living room and new mattresses. Don't mind old but would like it to be comfortable. Also, cleaning staff needs to clean out refrigerator completely after each guest stay. Husband was grossed out with left over items in refrigerator door. Would rather buy our own items than use someone else's. Overall, we loved our stay and would be willing to book the house again if we visit Breckenridge in the future.

The homeowner strives to provide a 5-star experience for each traveler that they host, and they appreciate your feedback on your stay. The owner provides a fully-stocked pantry for the convenience of their guests. They understand that some guests prefer to buy their own condiments since they do as well, and they're sorry if they caused your husband any distress! They also have plans to update the two older chairs in the living room to better match the leather recliners already there. The mattresses are less than 2 years old, and the owner is assessing options to ensure that the home is comfortable for upcoming travelers to enjoy a good night's sleep. Great Trip

We had a wonderful time in Breckenridge. The home was exactly as expected and allowed my family of 8 to spend quality time together. We would stay again in this mountain home. Everything was clean, the hot tub was ready to go after our long drive in. There was a "manual" to the home which answered all of our questions once we arrived. Thanks!

Great views, location!

Property location and views were amazing. Loved that the home had all the amenities you need and more for families with kids. Only complaint is the bathrooms- they need to be cleaned better as there was mildew (where wall meets tub area) and it was very difficult controlling the hot water dial. Other than that we had a great time in a great cozy place, will go again!

Magical City and Cozy Cabin!

Gorgeous views and relaxation central

The house is very well taken care of, and offers top notch ammenities such as cookware, hot tub, clean bathrooms and showers, comfortable beds, and wi-fi. We were blown away by the views of several mountain peaks, including the clear view of Breckenridge ski mountain. The hot tub is pristine and an excellent way to relax after exploring downtown or hiking at the nearby trails. We will definitely be utilizing this property for our mountain getaways again and again. Thank you!

Beautiful views from this mountainside retreat. Really cozy, clean, cute place for a quiet getaway

Perfect spot for a getaway. It is very close to the lifts on Peak 8, and an easy drive past there to Main Street. It’s far enough out for peace and quiet but close enough to be able to do any adventuring you want. The house is really well maintained, and very well updated. The dining room is big enough for a pretty large group, the stove is brand new and really nice, and the fireplace is great. The bedrooms upstairs are cute (one king and one queen), and the nightstand charging stations are a particularly nice touch. The downstairs bedroom with the bunk beds is really cute and would be perfect for kids. The highlight for us, though, was the deck and the views from it! We really loved the hot tub after a couple of days of hiking and mountain biking. A morning coffee on the deck watching the mountains and valley wake up was a great start to the day. We weren’t there during ski season but this seems like a pretty perfect place for that, too. The owner was really awesome and responsive and that makes a huge difference. We really loved it. Would definitely come back and stay here again.

Gorgeous, comfortable, and peaceful

The house was a perfect getaway for a few days. Close enough to town and hiking to make sightseeing easy but enough away from it all to make the mornings and nights peaceful. Beautiful deck with great views. Everything you need for a comfortable stay. Wish I could spend the rest of the summer here!
