This 2-bedroom duplex has the relaxed character of a classic beach house, with a large dune-top sundeck and views that stretch from the ocean to Bogue Sound.

OCEANFRONT FROM BOTH LEVELS
Wake up with the sound of the waves just outside your bedroom, then head upstairs where the living room opens to wide, unobstructed views of the Atlantic.

Because the island is only a few blocks wide at this location, you can also catch views of Bogue Sound from the upper level.

It's hard to find an affordable rental house directly on the beach that incorporates a quiet location with an impressive interior, but this property is it! It is a 10 for its price point and looks like the photos.We stayed here for a long weekend in September to enjoy some beach time. From start to finish, everything was seamless. I asked several questions prior to arrival and the management company was responsive. We were able to check-in early, which was greatly appreciated. Once inside, the property was impressive-the decor was modern and beachy, the view is incredible (from all the balconies), the kitchen was modern and stocked with all the items we needed for cooking during our stay, the bed was comfortable, and there was enough space that if we were rained out, we would've still had room to enjoy ourselves. Loved the free daily ice cream at the management company HQ!When looking for rental properties in Emerald Isle, I noticed a lack of description of the beach. Having never been there before, I wasn't sure what to expect. The beach is sandy to lay on and the sand continues into the ocean. The water temperature was in the low 80's, which was perfect for playing in the ocean. There were waves for boogie boarding, but with that said, the water was not crystal clear. It was murky but that didn't stop us from having a good time. We saw fish but did not encounter any jellyfish or sea creatures. It would "be nice to have" a hair dryer and bbq grill on site.

It’s wonderful that you enjoyed the modern interior, incredible views, well-stocked kitchen, early check-in, and daily ice cream. We also appreciate your suggestions about adding a hair dryer and grill and will pass them along to the homeowner.

1. Online pics misleading and info not on website. Both bedrooms are downstairs,kitchen and den upstairs. 2. Kitchen drawers/cabinets looked like the things had been tossed in (except for plates). 3. Couch- no cushion to it at all. 4. You must walk thru the master BR to get to the beach. 5. Bedrooms- no tv. 6. Outdoor shower didn’t work. 7. Stairs so narrow, it was difficult to get suitcases/coolers up and down. 8. Poison ivy all along the driveway. Grass not cut. Trash cans laying down. 9. Smoke alarm would go off when dryer in use and I could smell something electrical. I called the office (day 2 of the 7) but never heard back from them. 10. I messaged them 15 days prior to arriving and requested an early checkin and was told theyd let me know. On arrival, I looked in the windows, as I knew no one had been there for 2 days. I called and was told it wasn't ready. They called about 45 min later to tell me it was ready. Housekeeping card inside documented it had been ready for 2 days. Why not just be honest and tell me that checkin can't be changed. or what difference does it make to them if I get there early and want to checkin? POSITIVES: nice views, beds pretty and comfortable, soundproof from nextdoor part of duplex.

Items such as the outdoor shower, landscaping, trash receptacles, and the smoke alarm/dryer have been shared with our maintenance team, and kitchen organization has been reviewed with housekeeping. The vegetation noted is commonly Virginia creeper, which is often mistaken for poison ivy; however, we will review the area to ensure it remains well maintained. The home’s layout is reflected in the listing. While early check-in isn’t guaranteed, we did communicate this prior to arrival and followed up as soon as the home was ready. We’re sorry for the missed follow-up during your stay and are addressing this internally. We truly appreciate your feedback.
