Log Home with Mountain Views and Hot Tub on 2 Acres

Relaxing mountain retreat on two full acres with mountain views. Plenty of room outdoors for the kids to play. 1100 SF wrap-around deck with hot tub, gas grill, smoker and two tables and ample seating. Swings, horseshoes, croquet, etc. in the yard.

Great hiking, biking and site seeing nearby in Golden Gate Canyon State Park, James Peak Wilderness, Indian Peaks Wilderness, and Roosevelt National Forest.

Great winter property with Eldora Mountain Resort only 14 miles away, and less than an hour to Loveland Ski Area. Winter Park and Summit County ski areas also about an hour away. Excellent snowshoeing and backcountry skiing at South Boulder Creek Trail nearby outside of Rollinsville. Seven (7) pairs of snowshoes provided at the house for your use. Return after a day of fun in the snow to hot chocolate and the hot tub!

Very centrally located in the Mountains with City activities also close by. Denver, Golden, Boulder, Idaho Springs, Mount Evans, Evergreen, etc. less than an hour away. Fun and easy day trips to Estes Park, Rocky Mountain National Park, Winter Park, Breckenridge, Leadville and many more an hour or so away.

Only 7 miles from Gambling and Entertainment amenities of Black Hawk and Central City. However, if you are not interested in that, you will never know it is close by.

Please note that I do not host events or parties at the the house. Please be sure to disclose total number of guests, visitors, and any proposed pet visitors when inquiring. There is a $25/night/pet. Please ask before booking with pets.

Scott is an excellent host , very responsive and accommodating. The house was very comfortable and had every amenity that we needed. It is conveniently close to a small store that has pretty much everything you may need in a pinch. We will be visiting this cabin again in the future and recommend to anyone looking for a quite getaway. Thanks Scott !

it was ok, a few things need upgrading and some things were broke. the view is oversold. all bedrooms are in the basement. Host was very responsive.

Was just the two of us. We enjoyed our stay and were able to get to plenty of location to hike and run. Boulder is about a 45 min scenic drive and we went there a couple times.

This home is in my top five out of 13 years of renting from VRBO. Everything in listing was accurate and the owner who was very easy to communicate with thought of everything to make sure our stay was amazing. The only downfall was we had to leave. Perfectly Peaceful Paradise

This property is a cozy cabin that is tucked into the mountains residing on several acres. It is near Golden Gate State Park with Black Hawk just a short drive away. The property manager is very communicative and quick to help with any questions or needs. There is a hot tub in the elevated deck that overlooks the landscape yet remains private. We had a lot of fun playing Croquet on a custom course that wanders the property as well as horseshoes. The cabin windows open and invite a beautiful breeze into the home keeping the air cool and fresh. Our 3 pups really enjoyed their time as well. If you want a cozy place to get away and rekindle your spirit, this cabin is the perfect spot!

Beautiful Cabin and Location

The cabin was lovely. We enjoyed using the hot tub and the beautiful views. The only downfall for us was the floor heater in the master bedroom made a ticking noise about once an hour for 10 or 15 minutes all night. It did wake us up several times.

Disappointing

I really wanted to like this place. The upstairs was fine, however, the basement where the bedrooms are located smelled terrible, like there is a mold/mildew problem. It was so bad we could not sleep in the rooms and left early.

Incredibly Special Home!

This property will not disappoint! Spent the week with my grown children in this exceptional mountain home. Well appointed, well-stocked, spacious, comfortable, and unique property with breathtaking views. Location is fairly remote. Lovely Mountain House

Our week stay at Mountain House was lovely. The home is well equipped and cared for. It had everything we needed to cook, be comfortable and relax, as well as ample info about the local area for food / hiking. Scott was great to work with - easy communication and he made sure we were comfortable throughout our stay. The porch is incredible, as beautiful as the house is you will be drawn to spend all of your time outside (in summer :) ) enjoying the fresh air and looking at the stars. The location was perfect for us - feel secluded but have multiple options within 30 mins for food / grocery / entertainment. There is also a small convenience store right on the main road that had basics when we didn’t feel like venturing into town. We will definitely stay here again if we find ourselves back in Black Hawk. Thanks again, Scott, for sharing your beautiful home!

Perfect Family Cabin In The Mountains

This cabin is absolutely beautiful! My husband, sister, myself and our kids stayed here for a week to visit with the rest of our family out here in Colorado. The scenery is breathtaking! The cabin has everything you could possibly need. We grilled outside and cooked many of our meals right inside the fully stocked kitchen. Even with 3 teenagers and a 6 year-old we were all very comfortable and enjoyed our stay! There are many close amenities. A gas station nearby and Nederland has a grocery store, coffee shop and plenty of shops/cafes. Only a short drive from the cabin. Scott was a wonderful host with great/fast communication. We all agree we would love to stay here again. The cabin was very comfy and made us feel right at home... with much better views!

Mountain Getaway With Hot Tub! AH!!!

Scott was great to work with and answered all our questions. This location is amazing! So close to great trails and towns—even a huge new brewery is like five minutes away. But it is the house and the hot tub we will remember! Sitting on that huge deck or in that hot tub, chilling, re-connecting and more. If your family or friend group fits, try this charming log home with great views and all the needed amenities. You might find as we did, it was just what we needed!

Great place to relax & unwind!

Beautiful cabin with lots of room to hangout inside & out. Naturally wooded yard with cute bunnies & chipmunks to watch. Everything was nice & clean upon arrival & access was seamless. Host was super nice & took great care of us!

Winter Wonderland Mountain Getaway

This mountain home was a lovely place for a reunion gathering with a couple of old friends. Weather in Denver was mild, but the snow began as soon as we got up the mountain, and it didn't stop all weekend! Absolutely beautiful, but we were happy to have an AWD rental vehicle. Pros: The hot tub is just as *amazing* as we'd hoped, and we stayed cozy with the wood stove while it snowed. Hosts had snow shovels, a couple of pairs of strap-on snow shoes, in addition to thoughtful amenities we couldn't use due to weather, like grilling equipment and a great dining setup on the deck (which has a nice view). No shortage of entertainment options for movies and music; solid WiFi (but no cell signal!). (Minor) Cons: While the upper level is gorgeous, with a ski lodge/log cabin vibe, the bedrooms are all in the basement, and it's cold down there. Each room has its own small, forced-air wall unit or baseboard radiator. These are mostly effective, but they make the air super dry and at least one was a little loud for sleeping (unless you're into white noise). Overall: Excellent, with a well-appointed kitchen. Be sure to buy the groceries you'll need while you're still near a town of decent size! (We paid $16 for a lb. of sugar and a bottle of honey at the convenience mart nearby!) This place is neat and comfortable; it's not "hotel clean," but it's as clean as the home of the last respectable family you stayed with. We loved our stay. Many thanks to the hosts for opening their home to us!
