Gorgeous mountain setting views with wildlife sightings right out the back patio and terrace. Plenty of space and amenities. Isolated but close enough to Boulder, Red Rocks, Rocky Mountain state park and St Mary's glacier, although disappointed that the permanent snow had just melted due to the record heat this year. There are great hikes at Golden Gate State Park just 5 minutes away. If you love the beauty and peace of nature it's the perfect place. We loved it for our adult family vacation.

Nice home and layout. Not super clean as reviews indicated - hand prints on big glass, kitchen areas, etc. Need more and better towels. Road noise Still a wonderful stay. Movie room was awesome.

Hi Kristine, Thank you for staying at Moose Manor and for the kind words about the home, the layout, and the movie room. It is great to hear you enjoyed your time. On towels, two bath towels are provided per guest (one is set out and the other is stored under the bathroom sink), along with multiple wash cloths per guest. More are always available on request, so please reach out during any future stay and you will get whatever you need. Thank you as well for flagging the hand prints. Cleanliness is a top priority at Moose Manor, and the cleaner will double check all areas for prints. Your feedback is appreciated. Regarding road noise, Moose Manor sits on a quiet dirt road set well off of the paved canyon road, so any noise should be minimal. Hope to welcome you back soon. Ben

Moose manor is spacious, clean and homey. The kitchen is well stocked and well labeled - which is so helpful. Closets hold everything from waffle-makers to humidifiers. They have a great DVD collection and lots of games. It's clear they've been doing this for awhile. Good job!

The view was breathtaking. The ride up to the cabin was fun. Very peaceful and private area. Highly recommend.

The Moose Manor house was awesome! The location was amazing, and it was easy to understand where the name of the house came from after we saw several moose in the area. Communication with the host was easy and pain free. The house was very well stocked with everything we needed to put together a few homemade meals. The cleanliness left a little to be desired, which was unfortunate as everything else about the house was amazing. I wouldn't normally even mention the cleanliness except I stepped on a piece of broken glass in the kitchen the first night we were there, and when we swept the kitchen floor we found multiple pieces of glass shards on the floor. Would definitely stay at this house again!!

Great secluded place for a family of adults gathering. The only drawback was that the outside areas that we were hoping use , fire-pit, had long grass. The outside was not well landscaped as pictured. Other than that it was awesome and very comfortable with all we needed to cook in the kitchen and enjoy time together playing games, watching movies and the stars from the balcony. Thanks so much!

It is great to hear the home was a comfortable base for your family gathering, and that the kitchen, games, movies, and stargazing from the balcony all added to the time together. Apologies for the long grass around the fire pit and the outdoor areas. It grows quickly and I was unable to get it cut ahead of your stay. That is not the experience guests should expect. We loved the vibe at Moose Manor! It was so clean and comfy, lots of room games and DVD's to enjoy! It has a nice scenic drive to the cabin, and fairly close to several destinations we visited. Thanks to our host!!

This house was perfect for our stay. House was clean and very comfortable. Perfect location for the casinos in Black Hawk and the skiing in Eldora.

Loved the views from all the large windows in the house, the aspens in full bloom, plus an extra treat this morning: 8 turkeys walked right by the house!Enjoyed the full kitchen, lovely decor, fireplace and comfy beds. Wonderful hikes nearby. Wished we had more time for the fire pit and foosball!

Luxury in the Mountains

Great cabin!!! Extremely spacious and comfortable. From fixtures to furniture, everything was top-notch. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to enjoy a secluded mountain experience in modern luxury. Host was extremely helpful and attentive to our needs and expectations.

Couldn’t have had a nicer stay. The house had every amenity and convenience we could have asked for. The upstairs TV and sound system was so enjoyable. Benjamin responded to each and every question we had immediately. The main floor is by radiant heat and at first because I was not accustomed to that system we weren’t sure it was working. It just took a little while to heat up but once heated kept the house very cosy and a warm floor on top of it all. Away from everything but only a short ride to Golden, which is a beautiful little city. Red Rock only 25 minutes away. A perfect get away secluded stay

vrbo reviewAfter quite a few rentals I feel more confident giving a useful, fair review.Moose Manor was great for our needs. It was definitely a very good choice for us.We are 4 adults; a couple with two adult children. We cook and eat all our meals at the property.We like to sleep cool with quiet.We going hiking or other active recreation together for part of the day then relax, sometimes quietly alone for other parts of the day.Cooking and eating here was no more effort than at home, and much more scenic! The cook in the kitchen had views, even while doing the dishes, and was part of the social interaction with the rest of the group.Every space in the house ( except the bathrooms and laundry room ) had nice views and there were two living areas, each with nice views and open with each other. We enjoyed the birds and wildflowers right outside.We slept pretty well for being away from home. We were able to use the blinds to keep the sun from warming the house too much during the afternoon, and opened windows to cool the house down in the evening for sleeping.Moose Manor had easy access to the main road through the valley, and in spite of sitting on the valley side, we were not disturbed by the vehicle noise on the road. The valley road provided good drive times ( mountain speeds of course ) to Nederland and various entrances to Golden Gate Canyon State Park.Our host was usefully communicative. No miss steps getting to Moose Manor, getting in or living there

This is a fantastic property that is around 30 minutes from Golden, CO. The house is located in the mountains and there is a lot of privacy, beautiful views and gorgeous night skies. Benjamin, the host, was responsive and super helpful. The kitchen is well equipped which we greatly appreciated and the grill worked well, too. We had a good hike at Slough Pond on the Beaver Trail. The trail is about 5 minutes from the house. We greatly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home.
