Westwind #602 is an interior gulf-front 1 bedroom 1 bath condominium located on the 6th floor overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. The unit is approximately 700 sq ft with views of the gulf from the living room which has a queen sofa sleeper. The entire condo has been freshly painted and redecorated in November 2023, boasting a new kitchen with granite countertops and new cabinetry with new appliances installed May of 2023. The condo has hallway bunks and a fully equipped kitchen with a washer and dryer. There is one full bath with a tub/shower combo. The master bedroom is located on the north side of the condo which has a king bed and new carpet. King, berthing bunks, sofa sleeper. Sleeps 6.

Westwind is a 9-story building with 4 units per floor located 1 mile West of Highway 59 in Gulf Shores. Westwind has an outdoor pool and grilling area. Westwind has an outdoor pool and grilling area. The building has new exterior paint colors and new windows and sliding glass doors.

STAY AND PLAY
This rental comes with our 'Stay and Play Package', which includes complimentary tickets to the best area activities including golfing, deep sea fishing, dolphin/nature cruise, amusement park, zoo, and movie rentals. Each rental comes with our "Stay and Play package." Some restrictions apply.

*The 'Stay and Play Package' begins on the scheduled date of arrival and is not available on day of departure. Services are non-cumulative and non-transferable. All services are subject to change, subject to availability, and weather permissible. The 'Stay and Play Package' does not apply to monthly rentals.

It was as advertised. It wasn’t opulent and overly luxurious but it fit the needs of a family with two younger kids and everyone had a great time.

We have been to Gulf Shores around 8 times and really enjoy it there. We drive, so it's not too bad from Kansas City.

Absolutely Amazing Stay!

Everything was spotless and well taken care of, you can really tell the owners take pride in keeping it nice for guests. The view was absolutely beautiful and made every morning and evening feel extra special.Everything in the condo worked perfectly, and the beds were so comfortable, we all slept like babies. The kids had an absolute blast too! It’s in the perfect location, within walking distance to shops, restaurants, and of course, the beach.The owner was amazing to work with and made everything so easy from start to finish.We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay and can’t wait to come back! Bare Minimum

Not the best. Be prepared to find somewhere else to park, got only one parking pass for six people. Also plan on bringing extra toilet paper, towels and other supplies which would normally be provided. Don’t think one roll is enough for six people over four days. Overall not a terrible property but very inconvenient in terms of parking and having to worry about basic amenities. Would not recommend

Hello! Thank you for the review. This unit sleeps 4 adults and 2 children but it is noted in the description that only one pass is allowed. We also send e-mail reminders of what is given in paper products to guests. We supply one roll of toilet paper for each bathroom, one roll of paper towels, and one trash bag per trashcan in the unit. We also provide small dish soap and hand soaps for each bathroom as well. At Gulf Shores Rentals, we are always looking to improve our properties to ensure an enjoyable stay for our guests. Nice view but needs updating

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The condo is very old and needs updating. Water was leaking from above the stove and in the ceiling. The sheets were rough and mattress was not ideal. Lots of noise during the night and light shining into the bedroom from the hallway. Pretty view of the beach and very convenient to get to the ocean.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My husband and I very much enjoyed my first trip to Gulf Shore. It was largely due to the condo being just a great place to stay. I appreciated that it wasn't a high rise with huge parking lot and tons of people coming and going. The condo was clean and very nice and the perfect size. The balcony made morning coffee especially enjoyable as it was so close to the water and I sat and watched the dolphins each morning. The only complaint we had (if you can call it that) is that the television in the bedroom was very difficult to watch. It seemed to lag a lot even though it was connected to the wifi. I like to sleep with the tv on for white noise and it was annoying that it wouldn't stream Netflix or any other app consistently. It seemed very outdated. Otherwise the niceness and cleanliness was spot on. I am very happy with our stay.

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: For the cost of this rental, there are much better options available. The unit, although fairly clean with a nice view, was very dated and could use upgrades and repairs to the bedroom window (uninsulated + cracked window pane), appliances (old stove, rusted/dirty refrigerator), and bathroom (tub fixtures are old, doesn’t drain + loud dripping noise that doesn’t subside). In addition, there are baseboards/walls that need repair and the walls are extremely thin. I heard my neighbor snoring as if he were in the same room, along with entire conversations. All-in-all, the 4 days in this unit did not meet my expectations and I would steer clear of staying here again.

Unit was fine

Rating Details: The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our experience started shaky and ended that way. The elevator was not working properly when we got there. We thought we'd have to carry everything up 8 flights but after about 10 minutes the doors finally opened (still wasn't sure I wanted to get in).The morning of our depwas different. The elevator didn't work at all. Made a call to GSR to report. Don't know how long it took to repair. My 70 yo husband had to make 4 trips down 8 flights of stairs with our things and back up. Not good! Other than that the unit itself was clean & sufficient. Location was great. Love GSR's Stay & Play package.

The condo was very clean and well-maintained throughout. It has been updated and looks very modern, while still having that cozy beach house feel. Bedroom is quiet and away from beach. Kitchen is adequate although the stove is long in the tooth and a tad cantankerous. We had a problem with the TV but it was handled quickly by the rental company. Overall rating: EXCELLENT
