The location is surreal; the house is thoughtfully equipped and well-suited for hosting our stay! We have rented remarkable properties on the central and north coasts of California and at Lake Tahoe, and we enjoy a top-five favorites list of singular properties! Sea Gate is definitely on our short list of desired properties and would welcome a return trip! Truth be told, between the view, deck, spa, BBQ, and seating around the yard, we could have spent all our time out back!

When we arrived we looked out at the ocean and saw about a dozen whales feeding it was awesome. I have stayed here 10 years ago and it is still amazing. Now my mom wants to come back in October that’s how we feel. Clean, well stocked kitchen pots pans utensils are there. If you go you won’t be disappointed.

Harman was a wonderful host and made sure we had everything we needed. He was thoughtful and accommodating. The view alone is worth the price of admission, but the home was well equipped, private and the back yard was positively enchanting. We can’t wait to go back.

The house is truly wonderful, with its stunning view, hot tub, and all the amenities. Unfortunately, we encountered a severe storm that lasted several days, resulting in a completely different vacation experience. We had no Wifi or cell reception, no lights, and no way to cook or get warm water. Fortunately, Harman, the host, was invaluable in finding ways to keep our stay safe and enjoyable, and we ended up spending Christmas by many candles, which was magical. Harman was an amazing resource, and I can't thank him enough. I really believe that this house is spectacular if you’re not expecting a massive storm, of course.

I’ve stayed at this house multiple times under the previous management and was happy to see the transition to the new team. The new management has been great with clear, detailed instructions and an easy-to-use keypad for entry and locking made arrival and departure seamless. The house is well stocked with bath amenities and plenty of towels, which was especially appreciated for hot tub use. Loved the minimal chores at check out! The property is very quiet and private, yet conveniently close to town when we needed anything from the Surf Market. We loved being just a short drive from beautiful bluff and beach walks. The great room, with its large fireplace, comfy couch and window seating area were especially cozy and continues to be a favorite gathering spot.We also really appreciate that this is a dog-friendly property, our pups had a blast in the safely enclosed backyard. The hot tub is always a highlight, perfect for daytime or evening soaks, especially under the stars.A couple of suggestions for improvement: the kitchen could benefit from two large pans for group meals, as we were cooking for five people and had to make do with medium-sized pans. Additionally, upgrading all beds to memory foam would be a big improvement. The primary bedroom would also benefit from a true queen or king bed instead of a full with a better bedframe where I wasn't walking into the corner. We’ve been staying here since 2019, and updated mattresses would make this stay perfect.
