Parkside Cottage -NEW Construction!

Brand new cottage right next door to Verona Beach State Park! Within a 3 minute walk to Verona Beach State Park on beautiful Oneida Lake with a sandy beach, swimming, hiking trails, playground, snack bar, kiddie splash pad, picnicking, waterfront walking path and amazing sunsets. Just a 15 minute walk (4 minute drive) to the Sylvan Beach resort area with restaurants, an amusement park, casino, sandy beach, canal for fishing, boat rental and events all season long!

Upon walking through the front door, you'll step into a brand new open concept kitchen/family room with a high arched ceiling, accent beams & ceiling fan. The kitchen has brand new white cabinets and a center island with 2 stools, a table/chairs, small computer work station and all new stainless appliances. The family room has an electric fireplace under the new 65” smart tv and mantle, and two comfortable couches. Just off the family room is a full bathroom with a shower/bath tub. Walking down the hall to the right you'll first encounter a laundry closet with a full size washer/dryer. Past that on the right is the master bedroom with brand new king sized memory foam bed, night stands, ceiling fan, USB wall port, closet and private bathroom with a beautiful tiled shower. From the main hall to the left is the second bedroom with bunk bed (queen on bottom, twin XL on top, both new memory foam beds), night stand and closet. At the end of the main hall is a rear door that faces the private back yard with a brand new Trex deck with a covered awning and deck furniture.

New stainless steel kitchen appliances include dishwasher, clothes washer/dryer, microwave, gas stove, garbage disposal, refrigerator, Keurig, blender, ice maker, mixer, toaster, new pots, pans, dishes, cups, wine glasses, and more. Other amenities include wifi, AC/heat, smart TV, propane grill, bonfire pit, 4 beach chairs, electric fireplace, fresh white sheets, multiple USB ports around, games, puzzles, etc. The faucet water is safe to drink.

Because we know our guests love going to the Verona Beach State Park just steps away from the cottage, we have provided 4 beach chairs, bath towels, and sand toys to enjoy the sandy beach, and balls for playing in the yard. Please keep in mind, the Verona Beach State Park adjoins on 2 sides of the property, so there is a chance you may see wildlife. We spray the exterior of the cottage every 2 months for bugs & mosquitoes to reduce exposure. Leaving lights on at night outside attract gnats and mosquitoes. Boat launch is available locally at a marina for a fee and you can park right in front of Verona Beach State Park for easy access to your boat. Non-motorized boat launch is available there for your kayaks or canoes steps away from the house.

During Fall, folks enjoy all the hiking paths at the Verona Beach State Park, as well as apple and pumpkin picking. We are also close to the Erie Canal path. During the winter, Oneida Lake is a popular spot for ice fishing and snowmobiling. **Please keep in mind that the Sylvan Beach resort area is seasonal so some shops/restaurants may not be open during off season. During the fall there are many places to pick apples/pumpkins. Adults often enjoy North Star Orchards, a seasonal market with decorations, fruits, vegetables, cheeses & bakery, and Cackleberry Castle, which is more for kids with a a corn maze, animals, a seasonal store, etc. Oneida Lake and surrounding area is a hot spot for ice fishing and snowmobiling as well!

During summer, the lake has a sandy bottom that gradually gets deeper (no drop off) so great for families wanting to swim, float around on the water all day, canoe & kayak, all within a close stroll. You can launch your canoe/kayak at no charge at the park, just a 3 minute walk away from the cottage. It's also close to the Erie Canal, if you love to cycle.

***No pets, parties, smoking or 3rd party bookings. No unregistered guests beyond those mentioned during the initial booking. When you rent a VRBO, you rent for a certain number of guests, so please don't anticipate inviting a bunch of folks over that are not specifically registered. This is NOT a party house. We live in close proximity to our neighbors and loud noise, extra people beyond the number of registered guests and additional cars will not be allowed. Failure to comply with the house rules will result in immediate removal with no refund for the remaining stay. Please do not blow off any types of fireworks on the property. Two exterior cameras have been installed for security purposes. The driveway accommodates 2 vehicles end to end. If you must park on the street, please do not pull up on the grass.
