Come vacation at Ourtanfannies. This great house is located one back from the ocean. Listen to the waves from your bedroom, while relaxing indoors or from one of the new covered or sun exposed 'fannie tanning' decks. Enjoy the private pool, decking, and private hot tub.

Upstairs on level two, Ourtanfannies has a great room with a wooden cathedral ceiling rising to a large skylight. Living area has wonderful natural lighting with an open floor area. The well-equipped kitchen has a breakfast bar and ocean view dining area. Create your vacation memories at Ourtanfannies. Book for a week or more!

Guests have easy access to the beach, Avon Pier and 'Canadian Hole.' A soundside sidewalk provides safe walking and biking to shopping, Koru Village, family medical facility ,and some of the best restaurants in Avon.

The private pool is open seasonally from 4/26/2025 and closes 10/12/2025. Dates are subject to change.
The pool will open seasonally from 04/01/2026 and close 10/10/2026. Dates are subject to change.
You will be required to sign an additional lease agreement upon making a booking which will be sent to your email. You will not be able to check in until we have received your signature electronically. Please contact us directly if you do not receive this agreement.

Lovely beach location

We had a great stay at this beach spot. It was fantastic to be steps from the beach. Even closer than I anticipated. We also took full advantage of having the pool as well!

House was clean, a little dated but we weren't in it to much so that didn't really matter. Pool and hot tub were nice. Location was great! Within walking distance to the beach, a few restaurants and shops.

Location was great…furniture was HORRIBLE! You have no integrity! You ask for a great deal of money for rotten bed mattresses…springs poking out of rotten sofas…clogged drains…laminate floor peeling! What reason do the people from VACASA back you? Had to have exterminators day 3…bugs still dying as we left…my sister left day 2!

OBX fun

Was as expected. The pool area was great hangout when beach weather was less desirable. Although not beach front, ocean views were delightful. Centurally located in Avon a plus. House is a little worn but comfortable. For the price and location any minor negatives were easily over looked. After all, we’re primarily there for the beach and water activities. Would def rent again.

Amazing views and location

You can't beat the location and ocean views. Plus it's hard to find small semioceantfront homes with pools. Just be aware the pool is tiny so better for smaller kids or adults who just want to float. Hot tub was a big hit. The interior was functional and space was optimized. Definitely and older home with older furnishings and appliances but everything was in working order. Layout with all bedrooms on lower level worked great for us. Loved the tile foyer for changing out of wet swimsuits. Quick walk to a quiet beach over a boardwalk. Neighborhood was quiet as well. Less than a 10 min walk to the pier or Wings. If you're willing to accept an older home for the views and location, this is a great option!

location and pool were positives. house was dirty and smelled horrible, much worse than any other pet rental we've stayed in. cockroaches were in the house. cable was cut after week 1 and nobody came to turn back on, so only 1 tv in the house worked for the 2nd week. maintenance man said it was likely due to owners non-payment of the bill. we made the best of our 2 weeks, but will not be renting this house again. we plan to rent through owners next summer.

Our Stay

Homeowner needs to do some housekeeping. Living room furniture needs to be upgraded for comfort; large couch had a distinct odor. Also, pest control for the cockroaches inside and out needs attention. We loved the location but would never stay on this property again for the price!

Great location, needs some tlc

House was in a great location. Close to beach and great pool. House is older and not taken care of. Could use a good deep clean. We found garbage on the floor when we arrived. Kitchen had ants even though we kept food sealed and counters wiped. Great potential in this house if they took time to deep clean. We still enjoyed our time here.

Great location, maybe 50 yards from the beach.

Overall good beach house. Lots of stairs! 50 yards max from the beach. We did get ants on the kitchen counter, so that was a bummer. Two levels to the house. Both have independent hvac. I put the air on, on the sleeping level. An hour later it was 82 in the house, the heat was on!

Our vacation to Ourtanfannies

Location was very good. Pool and hot tub were real nice. House was worn. Carpets were gross and had musty odor / mildew from previous water leak. Paneling was buckled from water issue. Hot tub cover well past its useful life and was difficult to open and close. Updates needed.

Pool was great...but....

The pool was fabulous! Clean, sparkling, temp was perfect. Location was great. Nice boardwalk to beach...easy access! Great being one lot back as you can see and hear the ocean. House itself is run down, expected it somewhat as it is a pet friendly home. The kitchen had ants n roaches, gross! The railings on the deck, I feel, aren't safe as they go horizontally and the gap is big enough for our two granddaughters to fit thru. This could be a fabulous house, I think, if it were kept up!!! We def enjoyed our vacation, but probably wouldn't stay there again.

Vacation - uninvited ants...many, many ants.....

I had read a review about ants and I thought that was taken care of. It was not there were ants everywhere in the kitchen, just gross. We didn't leave any food out and even found an ant crawling on my grandson. The house needs the ceiling fans cleaned for as much as you pay in fees for cleaning I would expect that I would be able to turn on the fans but no go they looked so dirty, I didn't want that dust and whatnot falling down on us.. Besides the ants and the few dirty items that house was nice, good location, the pool was nice.

Neglected and Decrepit

Great location to the beach! Pool and hot tub were very nice. The house, however, was a disappointment. Beds were uncomfortable and the furniture seemed to have been purchased 20 years ago from Good Will. The place was not cleaned properly as there was dust and mildew on many surfaces. (I have photos) The oven worked only after we rigged it to keep the heating element off the bottom. Kitchen was poorly outfitted and there were many roaches outside every night (palmetto bugs ARE roaches!). Be careful on the decks, around the pool and stairs at night or you’ll get a creepy surprise! We had a good time because we made the best of it, but I’ll never stay there again. Huge monetary ripoff.

Great location but….

There is good and bad associated with his property. The good is the location… Just steps from the beach and it couldn't be easier to drag all your beach gear to the surf and set up. The pool area is nice in the hot tub was functional although the lights Didn't seem to work on the hot tub. The bad is the interior of the home. As others have noted it is extremely dated, the furniture appears to be have bought at a thrift shop, nothing matches and it feels like a frat house. The refrigerator is at least 20 years old. All 4 bedrooms are on the lower floor and the lock doesn't work on the master bedroom. Bathroom fixtures were builder grade at best. The property could be great if owner put some money back into the property

Serious updates needed

The house had everything needed for a great vacation. Super close to the beach, clean pool and hot tub, and it allowed our fur baby to join us. But the house itself really needed some updating, especially the furniture. Beds were so uncomfortable my husband actually ended up sleeping on the floor the last night because he couldn’t take it anymore. The couches were equally uncomfortable. They weren’t really couches, more like a couple of love seats with wooden supports that ran between the 2 seats. So couch napping was impossible. All the furniture looked like it was a bunch of hand me downs or thrift store buys. As much as we paid for the week, there should have been better accommodations. On the + side, it was very clean and didn’t smell like dog at all like I thought it might. And you can’t beat the location to the beach.

Needs some TLC

This home needs some TLC. While adequate, it needs to be updated. There are cheap uncomfortable chairs on the balconies, hot tub functional but it looks awful on the outside, needs nicer chairs around pool, kitchen had three broken can openers, dull knives, cock roaches in and outside, Needs some barstools at kitchen island, bathroom rugs- so many little updates that would male it more comfortable and worth the money you charge. Difficult to get up and down dunes to go to beach. Great view on balconies but nothing comfortable to sit on. No pool floats. Bedrooms have TVs- which is nice but there is very little space to put anything on. Broken alarm clock in bedroom. You’ll just get the basics staying here- no touches to make it comfortable.

We confirm there are no roaches in the home but rather palmetto bugs that are native to the area and sometimes find their way around the home. We will remove the broken can openers and make sure there is one operable and look at the alarm clock on our next inspection.
