Fun home with ocean view, washer/dryer, outdoor pool access, and private hot tub

Step aboard two-story Red Rover. Its beautiful, oceanside location is ideal, just 300 feet from the sand. Beach access is an easy walk down Trent Drive, with sound access just a short ride away. From the deck of the home (named for James Fenimore Cooper's famous pirate “Red Rover”), you can enjoy exceptional views of both the ocean and the sound while sitting in cozy Adirondack chairs, a rustic picnic table, or soaking in the hot tub. The spacious living room has plenty of windows for great natural lighting, a high ceiling, fragrant juniper wood paneling, warm resort furniture, a large flatscreen TV and DVD player, and free WiFi. The well-equipped kitchen has a breakfast bar, tiled floors, and a dining table that can seat up to eight guests. Several restaurants are nearby. The first floor features three bedrooms and two bathrooms, one with a tub/shower, the other with a shower. The first bedroom has a ceiling fan. An adjacent nook with a full-size washer and dryer makes laundry a snap. The ground level has paved parking to accommodate four cars, two carports, an outside shower, a fish-cleaning station. If you like views of both sunrises and sunsets, then cruise Hatteras Island aboard the Red Rover.

THINGS TO KNOW
Guests will be required to sign an additional lease agreement upon making a booking which will be sent to your email. Guests will not be able to check-in until we have received your signature electronically.
*Guests have access to the Club Hatteras Pool Facility. Additional details around this facility will be shared in your check-in email and during the check-in process. The club is typically open mid-May to mid-October, depending on weather.

Excellent location

Perfect location for a family vacation. Walk to Quarterdeck restaurant or take a quick drive into Hatteras Village for supplies. The beach is an easy walk from the house. Great morning surf fishing.

The walk to the beach is do-able for kids. Washer and dryer worked well, downstairs/driveway a lot of space for playing, storage, etc. Beautiful sunset views from the hot tub.

Home situated near everything Hatteras, Frisco & Buxton has to offer. Beach right at the end of the cul-de-sac and up a small dune. Had a great time visiting art galleries - spending time at the beach and eating some downright delicious food and relaxing in the hot tub under the stars.

Nice House

This is a very nice home for a quiet family vacation. Well furnished, clean and located 2 minutes wall to the shore. Not sure if this property has been rented much since there are a lot of the owners personal items everywhere. The neighborhood is very quiet. Best to bring as much of your supplies (food) as possible as there are not many shopping choices.

The location to the beach was great! I love that you could see the ocean and the sound.

Our experience was great. When we got there the coffee pot was broken. I left a message with house keeping about it and they brought us a new one in a timely manner. You have to leave message with the reality company, but they are great at returning calls. We had a great time, it was peaceful neighborhood. Love the small town if Frisco!

For the money it was fine

Location is good. Walking distance to beach and Quarterdeck restaurant . Quiet street. Mattresses need replaced, you can feel the springs poking when laying down. Luckily we always bring extra pillows and slept on the pillows provided for extra comfort. The kitchen is fully stocked, tons of plates and you will never be in need for a knife!!!

Second time renting Red Rover

The sunset view from the hot tub are amazing...picture perfect. The views really make this house. A large under house part is nice with all the beach gear. Two and half baths are useful. Lots of seating in the livingroom. Upgrades since we rented last-bathrooms and carpet-nice! Dune that you cross to get to the beach can be steep...we had a 9 and 12 year old and were fine...but depending on age may want to think about the walk-it could be considered hard!!! Would rent again

Very short walk to beach

House was perfect. Very clean fit my family and friends well. Hot tub was clean and nicely located on deck.i only have 1 complaint. I picked up about 15 shingle nails in driveway. My buddy and I brought our motorcycles and ran over a few before we noticed the nails. Thank god we didnt get a flat.

Great location

The great room upstairs has a lovely view of both the sound and the ocean and the crashing waves put me to sleep at night. Its a very short walk to a gorgeous beach.There are a few items that need to be addressed though, a window upstairs that is leaking, rotten, and fogged over which ruins the view, the handrails are so weathered I got a splinter in the first ten minutes and the mattress I slept on was about 4 inches thick. The lounge chair is also falling apart and needs replacing. I know these homes take a beating so I'd suggest a few new items to spruce up what is a great vacation spot!

Would NOT recommend this place

Close to beach but not much else. House is old and furniture is too Beds were sufficient Toilets run constantly and sinks drip Ceiling fan sounds like it’s about to fall off ceiling. Coffee grounds were left behind for us to find along with dirty dishes in dishwasher 😆 Not a great way to start our week Good thing the weather was perfect.

Great location

Toilet upstairs had been leaking enough to cause the drywall tape in the second full bath to come loose and drop. The leak has obviously been there a while and dripped with every flush. . With that we couldn’t use the other bathroom. Was fixed midway through the week after calling hatteras realty. The email and app for vacasa was worthless. Great location.

Disappointment

Location and beach access were great, but House is run down and filthy! We spoke many times with customer service agents who said someone would come over and clean and that local management would call for some sort of accommodation, but we spoke to no one. There is just some dude who stopped by one morning to clean sand front the hot tub…
