Amazing Sound Front, Ocean View Home with Pool, Spa and Dock

Welcome to Second Wind! It is a sound front, ocean view home with incredible sunset views located away from the hustle and bustle but convenient to everything you need while on vacation. This spacious home is the perfect family getaway with something for everyone. Drop your kayaks or fish off the dock. Take a dip in the pool or hot tub (new in 2023). Enjoy an easy short walk to the beach (less than 5 minutes) or a variety of beach options close by. Restaurants, grocery, and shopping are easily accessible.
This 4 bedroom / 4.5 half bath has two master suites and sleeps nine comfortably with many nooks and decks. The lower level opens onto a deck overlooking the inground pool and hot tub. Includes a game room with air hockey, board games, and puzzles. There is also a wet bar and full bathroom along with a family room. The second level includes a master queen bedroom with a full ensuite bathroom and deck access to sound views. There are two additional bedrooms, one queen bedroom with deck access to the sound. The other bedroom includes one twin and twin bunk beds with a private deck. These two rooms share a large hall bathroom. The top-level has a large open concept style kitchen, living and dining area. An additional master queen suite with a full ensuite bathroom is just off the main living area. The top-level also includes a half bathroom. For those who need a quiet space to work or relax, there is a lookout room off the top level with ocean and sound views.
Rental includes the use of four (4) kayaks and a paddleboard. Paddles and life jackets of all sizes are available too.
Reconnect with nature and enjoy the sights and sounds of a variety of wildlife including otters, deer, and osprey. Plenty of outside seating for everyone to enjoy on all of the decks. Come find your Second Wind.

New in 2023 - Six (6) person hot tub. All new sliding doors, new 3rd-floor CoolDeck composite decking and all new railings in back decks and front bedroom. Doorbell cameras on front and side doors.

New in 2021 and 2022 - New couches and seating in upstairs living areas. New refrigerator with ice maker. All Pollywood tables and chairs/stools on all of the back decks.

The house and amenities were amazing for a family. Plus close distance to beach and to have own pool was such a luxury. 5 minute drive to nearby cities for restaurants and groceries made the stay super easy. Looking to come back very soon.

This property is amazing! Plenty of space for a family of 4 and the views are beautiful! The sounds of nature and view of the sound and breath taking. My only complaint is that we couldn’t stay longer. We are already thinking of booking this property next year!

Beautiful Property on the outerbanks

We had a great stay, the pool was used well. Independent of what weather it is, you can enjoy yourself in this house. The kids definitely used the airhockey! Very complete house with amaizing views.

Beautiful views of the sound side

Perfect cozy home with views of the sound side. We enjoyed walking the pier and fishing right in the back yard. Very peaceful area. I highly recommend staying here.

Great location and views

Perfect house for our two families. Lots of deck space to enjoy the views of the sound. Easy walk to the beach. We loved the laid back area of Frisco and the surrounding towns. The owner was incredibly nice and responsive.

Pink house

Everyone liked staying in the pink house. The house worked perfectly for a family with school aged children. The pool was a favorite and they were able to fish right off the dock. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans and anything else you could possible need to feed everyone.

Perfect Get Away!

This house was perfect for our family!! It was quiet with great charm!! Having the pool was fantastic!! Being on the Sound was so beautiful! Only a short walk to the very quiet beach!! We loved the whole week!! Thank you!!

Has it all!

Stayed here for a recent girls weekend. The owners were accommodating, communicative and always responsive. The house was clean, bright and in a great location. The view of the bay is stunning, access to kayaks, a wonderful new hot tub, clean bright rooms, it truly has it all. The owner also gave us wonderful recommendations for places to eat and things to do. Would love to come back again.

Perfect sound side location especially for water sports.

House was great. Has a nice pool and new hot tub. AC worked great and kept the house at 70 all day. The canal leading to the sound is perfect for kayak. Close to groceries and easy walk to beach. Absolutely no complaints.

Calm after the storm

We were worried about tropical storm and all the rain to the area. They allowed us to move our stay out a day to miss the storm and ultimately save our trip. This house is beautiful and the sunsets are second to none.

Best location on the island

The property is very spacious. It has the absolute best view and location on the island. The Sound front on the back of the house and the ocean is just a two minute walk out of the front door. The only downside is the furniture is very old and outdated which makes the house look old but that was something I got over very quickly. I definitely would stay here again.

We caught our 2nd Wind!

Thank you for sharing your home with us. The welcome items were a lovely touch! It was so nice to go to the beach and not feel like you needed to bring everything!!! The kayaks were great!!! Sound access perfect! Hot tub… super relaxing! Home decor perfect for the beach! Kiddos loved sharing bunkbeds! Pool super fun!! All in all we certainly caught our 2nd Wind!

So great!

Such a great experience. Location couldn't have been better. House is great for large families. Our group could hang out or spread out, which I appreciate. Bathrooms galore! So many games available for use. The best part was truly the maintenance man, Jim and the conversation that I had with owner Brian. Exceptionally pleasant men. So helpful and accommodating. Everything was thought out by them and addressed so you feel like you are cared about as a guest. I absolutely would stay there again and plan to.

Perfect Family Vacation!

This house was awesome. We enjoyed the sound, pool, hot tub, and beach. The sunsets were amazing, and we love that the beach was only a short walk and not crowded. We cooked dinner every night because we did not want to spend time away from the water or the house. The living space was large enough for us to hang out, play board games, and all eat together. We also enjoyed the wildlife on the ocean and the sound side. The house was perfect for our family. We definitely will leave with fond memories of our stay at Second Wind.

Amazing sunsets

Very well equipped kitchen. Beds were super comfortable and the game room has plenty of games. There’s plenty of furniture on the decks. There’s a trundle bed under the bunk bed. There’s a futon in the little room above the kitchen. The ice maker has a hard time keeping up with heavy use, I suggest you buy some ice. Plenty of blue crabs at the end of the dock. Plenty of room for everyone to spread out. Bring bug spray for dusk. Make Sure you wear footwear on the dock to avoid slivers.

Our week at bikini bottom

We did not see anyone topless...so it doesn't appear that the name of this property describes the dress code. This could be good news or bad new depending on your company. Our week started with tropical storm Claudette passing through which resulted in high winds, white caps in the sound, and rain. This property provided excellent entertainment and protection from the elements until the storm passed on. As to the property it has plenty of room we had seven people and would find that perhaps 10 people would be the maximum and be comfortable at this home. there is a little sitting nook which currently has a sofa and a desk and I would encourage the owner to consider replacing the sofa with a single bed or daybed for a teenager or child to sleep in. And we also observed that the property only came with one washcloth and one towel per person. as a result we went to the local Dollar general to find additional towels and washcloths to make our stay more comfortable through the week. The good news is the Dollar general is less than 10 minutes away and it's within 2 minutes of Connor's supermarket where you'll find all your other needs. FYI there is no gas grill on the property. The only grill is a charcoal grill which is located on the ground adjacent to the carport similar to what you might find in a state park. It would be nice to have a gas grill off the main deck off the kitchen if the owner would find it suitable. The canal behind the property and the surrounding water is really shallow so it is best suited for skiffs canoes kayaks and smaller boats. That being said it is possible if you have a boat that can draft 12 inches or less you can manage to get to the dock and tie it up. The tide is remarkably small only approximately 8 to 12 inches. The issue is not the depth of the canal but more so the area of the surround adjacent to the canal has many sand bars and seaweed. The hot tub was a neat addition however we were struggling to get it to turn off and so If you didn't want to hear it running all night you would need to literally unplug it. We communicated this issue with the property manager and believe that the property manager is trying to get this resolved. There are plenty of pots and pans and dishes etc in the kitchen so we did find the kitchen well equipped. At the time the ice maker in the freezer was struggling so the owner had a counter ice maker next to the sink. All in all we would stay there again.

We are Brian and Brandi and thank you for your interest in our house.
We are a family that loves being on the water and have always chosen destinations that have access to water sports. We previously vacationed in Frisco with extended family and fell in love with all that this town has to offer, especially the small-town feel. It is one of our favorite destination spots for family fun, especially kayaking and paddle boarding on the sound and exploring nature. Crab catching and fishing are among the favorite activities of our teenagers too!

We have a fantastic property manager named Jim that handles our communications and the day-to-day running of the house. You will most likely be interacting with him, if not us.

There are many things we love about our house and its location but the nightly sunsets are amazing and a great way to end an active day on the water. The unobstructed view of the water is truly amazing and the starry nights make for great stargazing.

The location of this house provides easy access to many activities within walking distance for the entire family. You can fish, kayak, or paddleboard from the dock. A beautiful sandy beach is across the street and over the dune, easily walkable in less than 5 minutes. There is also a great family-owned restaurant, Frisco Bay Coastal Grill, three houses down. In addition, it is only a short drive (less than 10 minutes) to Hatteras Village and the ferry to Okracoke. Frisco provides the Outer Banks feel without the traffic and crowds.
