Welcome to our Sweet Escape! This renovated Eagle's Nest unit is just a short walk or shuttle ride to the slopes and boasts jaw-dropping views of Mt. Crested Butte. We have owned and rented this unit for 13 years and continually go out of our way to make all guests have an unforgettable experience. We work together with a well-established local property manager to ensure all details are taken care of during your stay. Take comfort in knowing there is a 24 hour service line in the event of any unforeseen issues during your stay.

We offer a self check-in and checkout process for convenience and extra security for our guests.

This 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath townhome is located just above the resort and might just become your favorite place for vacations in Crested Butte for years to come! Our bedrooms comfortably sleep 6. Upstairs you will find 3 bedrooms with new mattresses, ensuring a comfortable night’s sleep. The master bedroom has a Queen bed, master bath and private deck, boasting incredible mountain views. Down the hall is a 2nd bedroom with a queen bed and a full bath in the hallway. One more level up there is a 3rd bedroom with two twin beds. We have a private, one car garage with a laundry room. Guests are provided two parking permits, one for on street parking (directly in front of our unit), and one for the garage.

Our kitchen is fully equipped and we have an open floor plan to ensure everyone is part of the action. Enjoy a family style meal at home, watch a movie, play games, or enjoy the best views on the mountain from our picture window and your private deck. At the end of the day, take a soak in the spacious hot tub just steps outside the door. The majestic setting provides the perfect place to make memories that you will cherish forever.

Whether you prefer to ski the expert slopes or cruise the blue runs, fly-fish the streams or hike one of the many trails through fields of wildflowers, or just sit by the fire and experience the unparalleled views of Mt. Crested Butte and the East River Valley from one of our private decks, our mountain escape offers something for everyone.

The slopes and ski lifts of Mt. Crested Butte are 5 minute walk away. For those flying in, a car is not necessary. Use the free shuttle that runs into Crested Butte to experience the delicious restaurants and unparalleled ambiance that downtown Crested Butte has to offer. The best views on the mountain all add up to a fun-filled and worry-free vacation at Sweet Escape!

The views were top notch. The space was very clean and exactly as we expected based on the property description and photos. We met the property manager, Kat, who went out of her way to accommodate us. We had all we needed to cook and relax. The walk to the ski base in ski boots was a little rough (wouldn't recommend for kids), but Kat tipped us about a new door-to-door free shuttle service. Thank you! The host was extremely responsive. Our only complaint was the quality of mattresses and pillows, but this wouldn't stop us from staying here again.

Pros: Nice view of the mountains. Well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, nice furnishings, and quiet. Cons: Upper Eagles Nest is NOT on the free ski shuttle route, nor is it close to a grocery store. However, there is a FREE door-to-door shuttle service offered by Mountain Express/First Tracks and you download the First Tracks app to request rides from the condo to the ski resort's transit center. From the transit center, you can catch the free shuttle to the Town of Creste Butte which has restaurants, lodging, and a grocery store.The condo unit could use an auto sensor light between the main floor and 2nd floor.

Comfortable stay near mountain base

One of our favorite vacation rentals. Very comfortable, lots of amenities, perfect for our family. The shuttle to the base was extremely convenient. We would definitely stay again. Note for families - bedroom with twin beds is sort of a loft, so is open to the stairwell going down to living room - noise travels easily up and down in case you have light sleepers.

Great condo- good location. Great size for our family of teenagers. Really clean and comfortable. Would stay again. Host was really helpful. Loved the availability of firewood and log splitter.

Amazing stay!

This condo was fabulous and both the owner and property management company were fantastic to work with. The condo was spacious, about a 10-15 walk (in ski boots) from the lift and a short bus ride into town. The views from the porch were beautiful and I would definitely book this condo again in the future.

Great home base for Crested Butte

The property provided a great home base for us to explore Crested Butte. Fantastic to relax on the two balconies with direct view of the mountain. Convenient to have the garage spot large enough to store our bikes and our vehicle. Well appointed condo. Easy access to free local bus to/from town. We had a wonderful stay.

Great location

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at this Eagles Nest town home. It is very conveniently located on Mt Crested Butte with a great view overlooking the ski mountain. Comfortable and adequately equipped, the unit met all our needs. Having access to a garage was very useful (even though the automatic door opener wasn't working during our stay).

Gem located in Mt Crested Butte

The location of the condo is perfect. It is located just outside Crested Butte town, in Mt. Crested Butte. When you walk into the condo, you feel right at home. The condo has everything you need. The beds were cozy and plenty of room for 4 of us. The views from the deck are spectacular.

Crested Butte Wedding

Our son got married in CB at the Mountain Wedding Garden. This rental was a perfect home base. Groomsmen were able to get ready and have lunch before the wedding which was great. Mike was so helpful in suggesting nearby rentals for family and responding quickly to my questions and the property manager was also responsive. Highly recommend!

Beautiful, convenient chalet with great views

The house was wonderful, clean and comfortable. Lovely hot tub with an amazing view. It was convenient and perfectly located for summer or winter activities. A comfy home comfy, quiet home, helpfully stocked with coffee and tea. My only feedback is to change the standard emails/instructions that from both HomeAway and peak property when there is keyless entry. Even though I received a code, I also got several pieces of information which expressly instructed me to pick up keys at the office in town, which was not needed. Not a big deal, I would just recommend updating the auto generated messages about going to the office if a code has been given.

We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! We had a large family gathering for our son's graduation and we all fit perfectly! Having that many people we wanted to make most of our meals at the condo and the owners have thought of most everything! Crockpot, sheet pans, utensils, blenders, etc! Even had lots of spices in the cupboard (so handy since we forgot a couple)! The beds are super comfy with great bedding and the living room is a perfect set up for cozy movie watching! The lifts are across the street, one could walk, but I drove our skiers over to the drop zone, so easy! There's a tiny grocery store down the hill where you can find a last min need, but remember you're in a resort town so you'll pay the prices! Highly recommend a run to the grocery in Gunnison on your way up if you need supplies! We brought alot from home. Lastly, the views from the condo balcony are so beautiful...the mountains of Crested Butte are spectacular!! Will return again and again!

Annual ski/snowboard weekend

Property was perfect for family for our annual ski/snowboard weekend. It was clean, nicely remodeled kitchen, cozy retreat on a powder weekend. There was plenty of room for our group of 6. My only criticism is that the hot tub was not clean. That is not the fault of the owner but rather the property management.

Great location, beautiful space

We were a group for 5 adults on a ski trip to a number of areas in Colorado. This property is ideally situated, the village shuttle stops at the base of the driveway making the trip to to the base of the mountain really easy so long as you time catching the shuttle. This is a 3 bedroom suite set up for children on the top floor, this was not our group but we could see that the double bunks would work for a family. There are lots of dishes, extra linens and other amenities that might be needed during your stay. We loved it and if Crested Butte was not so far from home we would stay at this property again. The view from the property quite beautiful, it is very reminiscent of European ski villages with condos and homes dotting the opposite hillside.

Great location, cozy townhome

Everything about the stay was great. Walking distance to the mountain for skiing and on the bus line to get into town for dinner. The place was super spacious and cozy inside. Real wood burning fire was a game changer after a day on the slopes. Hot tub was never crowded either!
