One of the first suburbs platted after WW1, the neighborhood and adjacent Encanto Park was designed around the popular "City Beautiful" movement and features a stunning array of revival architecture... mainly Spanish, Mediterranean, English and French. Stroll the shady, perfectly manicured streets and you'll be repeatedly amazed at the details of each home and the passion with which the current owners maintain them. You can almost hear the big band music wafting from living rooms while you walk, and hear the stories of a bygone era, yet you're in the very heart of the 5th-largest US city.

➡️ POOL/SPA:
The pool and spa are combined with the spa inset into the pool with a spillover wall. Pool and spa heat is NOT INCLUDED in the nightly rent, but available for an additional charge of $75/night.
Please let us know at least 2 days prior to arrival if you would like to add the pool heat.
This includes the pool heated to a guaranteed 87°F — thanks to a very powerful natural gas heater (capable to heat 24/7 year round). Spa can be heated to your desired temperature up to 101°F. Note: most other heated pools have electric heat pumps which cannot achieve these temps in colder months, and actually shut off when it is below 45°F at night. If you plan to use the pool or spa during cooler months (with check-in from Oct 1 - May 31), heating is a must since the water takes on the nighttime low temp, which can be in the low 40s during the colder months.
During summertime (June - Sept), the pool is plenty warm to swim and the spa can be quite therapeutic without added heating, thanks to jets and bubbles. If you would like the spa heated up to 101°F during the summer, we can add that for an additional charge of $45/night.
For those with children who'd like an additional level of pool security beyond our self-closing interior doors and exterior gates (fully compliant with City of Phoenix pool barrier code), we also offer the use of an automatic pool safety cover. If you're interested in using this additional safety feature (at no additional charge), we will be happy to provide you with specific operation instructions and what is expected of you to ensure it is used according to design specifications.

Please keep in mind that we adhere to our cancelation policy. We know last-minute issues arise, therefore we recommend you consider trip insurance via Airbnb (or another avenue). It can help protect your reservation if plans change due to weather, illness, or other covered reasons. Airbnb's trip insurance may only be available during the booking process, so we recommend you take a moment to review the policy to see if it's right for you.

Our professionally trained chef referral can do everything from a custom meal for two prepared on-site, to meal delivery. Our massage therapist referral is an expert in deep tissue massage and restorative treatments - he can set up inside or outdoors. Our recommended yoga teacher can guide you through a restorative yoga class in the backyard.

Guest Access:
You will have private access to the whole home with the exception of the garage and storage closets, which are locked and used as owner storage/parking.
The Neighborhood:
The home is in the idyllic Palmcroft/Encanto Park historic district, just to the Northwest of Downtown Phoenix. Each home in this sprawling, leafy, district is architecturally unique, with many of the homes on the National Registry of Historic places. Central Phoenix, the Phoenix Convention Center, Midtown Phoenix, the Heard and Phoenix Art Museum, Melrose District restaurants and cafes, and the Roosevelt Row Arts District are all a few minutes' drive.
The home is also in close proximity to Saint Joseph's Hospital, Banner Health, Phoenix Children's Hospital, and the Abrazo Arizona Heart Hospital, making it an ideal home for rest and recovery. We also cater to those in the medical industry traveling for work.
Getting Around:
While Phoenix is a city built around the car, and we have off-street parking for two vehicles, you can easily hail rideshare services (including fully autonomous vehicles) and are just a few minutes' drive from Central Phoenix, Roosevelt Row Arts District and the Phoenix Convention Center, and only a 10 minute drive to Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport.

⚠️ ACCESSIBILITY:
While the primary suite is located on the ground floor of the home, there are multiple steps to navigate: one step up from the patio to the entry door landing; there are two steps down from the foyer into the living room, and a step down from the primary bedroom into the attached en-suite bathroom.
The pool does not include a stair railing. Please use caution when entering/exiting the water. This home may not be suitable for guests with mobility or balance limitations.
