Kihei Bay Surf Studio #253 at the Kihei Bay Surf is an upstairs studio that can sleep 2. It has a fully equipped kitchen, a queen bed, and a separate full bathroom. Kihei Bay Surf Studio #253 also has Cable TV/DVD player, room unit air conditioning in the living room and ceiling fans as well. Coin-operated laundry room on-site.
Same day bookings and those arriving within 48 hours of making the reservation require a phone call to Rentals Maui for confirmation. Please note: This unit is on the second floor with no elevator available.
Bookings made within 7 days of arrival will require an ID check and screening prior to confirmation.
Longer stays require additional terms and conditions. Please contact Rentals Maui for inquiries longer than 60 nights.
We work to maintain a very accurate website. At times furniture, decor or flooring may be upgraded and pictures are not updated yet. This would not change the seating, sleeping, function or views of the condo. Amenities are accurately and clearly listed for your convenience.
Kihei Bay Surf is located in North Kihei across the street from the Whale Sanctuary, Kalepolepo Beach, and an ancient Hawaiian fishpond.Kihei Bay Surf has a large pool, hot tub, tennis court, gas grills, and a coin-operated common laundry area. Whale watch, windsurf, walk the beach, and enjoy the most amazing sunsets imaginable. The Kihei Bay Surf is centrally located to shops and restaurants, and is just minutes from the championship golf courses of Wailea and Makena. This is one of the best values in Kihei.

Comfortable and Clean room

Great stay

Wish there were more listing pictures, condo was a bit outdated, but it was clean and we were satisfied with it. Right across the street from an amazing beach where we saw sea turtles every morning and night. Overall great spot to stay.

Pros:* The location (Kihei) is in the central valley of the island, and is probably the best place to be if you want to explore the island a lot.* It is right across the street from a very small park with a beach, though don't expect much. We ended up driving to a nicer beach.* We really enjoyed the hot tub each night. It seemed to be the social gathering place for guests.* All of the features (wifi, hot water, dishwasher, fridge) worked perfectly.* We really appreciated being able to borrow the beach items in the closet (2 chairs, 2 pool noodles, 2 snorkel sets, large cooler).* Laundry room was good, with the ability to use an app to pay and receive a notification when your load is done.* The cost/value is probably the best you are going to get on Maui.Cons:* The outside common areas of the condominium complex were a little dumpy. The inside of our specific unit was clean however.* The street noise might bother some, especially if you want to keep the sliding door open at night for a breeze.In summary, we mainly wanted a place to lay our head at night, and for that, the place worked for us. If you want something more than that, you'll have to shell out more .

Worked well for us!

Some road noise from traffic, but otherwise spot on! Walked across the street to watch multiple sunsets on the beach. Nice pool and spa. Kitchen was great. We would absolutely stay there again!

Excellent and clean little studio! I loved the place and had a great time. However I do suggest putting the distance to stores and shops in the description as well as the fact that there is minimal sidewalk to these stores and shops.

great get away

we love hawaii and this great little studio gave us a reason to come back. inexpensive and quaint. the residents who live there are friendly and loved the pool talks. hawaii depends on its tourism especially during this tragic time. we loved having a view of the water but the only downfall was road noise but thr ac unit helped drown it out😀

Kihei Bay Rental

It was a great rental to stay in! Easy access and 30-40 minutes drive to everywhere we wanted to go! There is also more to this rental than listed…pool towels, beach chairs, hair dryer, etc. If I knew, I wouldn’t have packed as much. :)

Wonderful stay

Our stay in Kihei was fantastic at the bay surf. The bathroom, kitchen, and living/bedroom were all great! The location in kihei is convenient because you’re closer to the north side where you will likely be driving anyways for activities. My only “complaints” would be that our room was a little close to the road so there was some road noise, and there were some bugs in the kitchen that we noticed when we checked in. They seemed to be gone after 3-4 days but we definitely couldn’t have any food or crumbs out. Really couldn’t ask for a much better place to stay otherwise!

As Described

Convenient location, and across the street from the pacific whale foundation museum and a nice park on the beach. Very clean and very well stocked kitchen. Best feature: a nice sliver view of the ocean. Least favorite attribute: street noise from busy Kihei Road. We got used to the noise and enjoyed our stay. (Noise only a problem when door to the porch is open for cool Pacific breeze)

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Studio apartment in Kihei. Beach access across the street at the Kalepolepo Park and many other beaches that are a short stay nearby. There is a window AC unit that cools the apartment pretty well. Kitchen is well stocked. The pool and hot tub on the premises are very nice; plus there is an area to BBQ with a gas grill if you are so inclined. Plenty of parking and a pass is provided.

Worse bed ever. The floor would have been more comfortable, pillows smelly and flat. Be careful going on the patio, we close the door behind us cause the air was on and it locked, had to call the property manager on Christmas was out there 45 mins or so before we was saved. She was wonderful.

Kihei Bay Surf # 253

Overall property was as described. It’s across the road and a very short walk to the beach. A lot of traffic on the road with a lot of road noise but much less at night. The use of the a/c covered up a lot of it. It was clean and had what we needed. The bed was ok but the pillows need to be replaced. We could not use the ceiling fan above the bed, it made an obnoxious noise. The place was adequate but nothing special. We would consider staying here again because of the location.
