The Space:

This midcentury home offers a warm nod to the 70s, blending retro flair with modern comfort. Inside feels spacious yet cozy, a calming, family-friendly atmosphere with plenty of natural light pouring in, especially through the sunlit dining‐area sunroom. With bright, open living spaces and comfortable, inviting rooms, the house is perfect for relaxing, reconnecting, having fun with loved ones, or simply unwinding after desert adventures.

Step outside to your private desert oasis: an in-ground pool and spa with gorgeous mountain and desert-landscape views, ideal for sunrise swims or sunset soaks. The lot spans 2.5 acres on a hillside, offering open space, desert terrain, and natural boulders, perfect for stargazing under clear desert skies. Enjoy evenings around the fire pit, lounge on comfy lounge chairs or hammocks, fire up the BBQ for al-fresco meals, or toss horseshoes. With wide-open sunsets, starry nights, breezy desert air, and serene privacy, every moment feels like an escape.



-Living Area-

The living area blends bright retro style with Western-inspired touches. Tongue-and-groove wood ceiling details, warm tones, and vintage-meets-desert design create a welcoming, lived-in feel. High ceilings and large windows highlight the sweeping views and bring in abundant natural light. A large smart-TV system sets the scene for relaxed movie nights after exploring, while slow mornings with coffee and desert views invite calm and reflection. Cozy, intimate, and full of charm, the living area is a perfect base for both quiet downtime and lively gatherings. (Please note: the fireplace is decorative and not functional.)

The kitchen is chef-friendly and fully equipped, with tile countertops, a functional layout centrally located by the living room and dining room, and everything you need for cooking together or creating holiday meals. Good Luck Outpost offers three bedrooms, each designed as a peaceful retreat perfect for unwinding after a long day of exploring. The primary bedroom has a beautiful mountain mural and is spacious, with a smart TV, a ton of closet space and a private ensuite bathroom outfitted with a large shower. The second bedroom has a queen bed and a rainbow mural. The third bedroom has Star Wars inspired mural and space motif, a double bed and a twin bed, perfect for kids! The second bathroom is in the hallway and has a shower and tub combination.

Just minutes from Joshua Tree National Park, Good Luck Outpost is an ideal home base for exploring iconic desert landscapes, hiking vast trails, discovering hidden rock formations, and witnessing dramatic sunsets. The nearby town, Yucca Valley, blends an artistic, relaxed desert-town vibe with charming cafés, local boutiques, and community markets. Venture out for wellness experiences, desert adventures, and star-filled nights under expansive skies. The landscape feels vast: rugged desert terrain, distant mountain ridgelines, and open horizons that stretch as far as the eye can see.

- There is great cell phone coverage at the house



◦ Wildlife: this is the rural desert and we share the space with the wildlife. You may encounter desert ants, mice, coyotes, or if you’re lucky a bobcat.



◦ RULES:

Noise ordinance: Quiet hours are 10pm-7am. No external speakers allowed. Any noise related discrepancies will result in at least a $1000 fine.



HOA Guest Registration Required: Guests must provide a valid photo ID (driver’s license or government-issued) prior to check-in, as required by the HOA for community access. Failure to provide this may result in delayed or denied entry.



◦ SMOKING POLICY

No smoking inside the house or within 10ft. Smoke residue will result in excessive cleaning fees



◦ Restricted Areas:

Any locked closet or room is restricted. If forcibly entered you could be held liable for any unaccounted for item.



◦ Pool heating:

If you’d like the pool heated to 84°F, please let us know at least 24 hours before arrival. A daily fee applies due to high fuel costs. If heating for multiple days, days must be consecutive. Pool heating is usually not needed from May through September. Pool heating fees: $350 first day, $200 for the following days.





◦ Hot Tub/Pool:

Hot Tub Use: Please avoid using the hot tub immediately after it’s been serviced, as chemical levels are temporarily elevated. We have weekly pool cleanings, this day may fall on your stay and your cooperation will keep the hot tub clean and balanced at all times.

Please rinse off any oils, lotions, or substances before entering the spa, as these can affect water quality and cause discoloration.

Be sure to keep the cover on when not in use, especially since we're in the desert and debris can easily get into the water.

Any misuse of the hot tub may result in an additional charge for extra maintenance.



◦ Photoshoots & Video:

No un permitted photoshoots or videoing at the home. If you would like to use our home for those purposes please send us a message. Any unauthorized filming will result in a $5000 violation and production fee.





IMPORTANT NOTE for HOT TUB and POOL

To protect your own health, safety, and the integrity of tub and linens, and to ensure the cleanliness and proper maintenance of our facilities all guests must shower before and after using hot tub.



• We kindly request all guests to rinse their feet, bodily oils, and lotions before entering the hot tub and pool area. Failure to do so may result in the accumulation of dirt, debris, and contaminants in the water, which can compromise the overall experience for all users.



• No pets of any kind or size in hot tub and pool.



• Please do not stand or sit on hot tub or pool cover.



• Children must be supervised at all times.



• Please heat the hot tub with cover on and avoid the urge to add hot water from the stove, it will damage the hot tub



• Please leave spa covers on and secured after use. Spa cover is for insulation only and is not designed to support weight.



Please be advised that if the condition of the hot tub and pool is left in poor conditions due to guests not rinsing their body and feet, an additional fee may be charged for excessive dirtiness. This fee will cover the cost of the necessary cleaning and maintenance required to restore the hot tub and pool to its optimal condition.



We appreciate your cooperation in helping us maintain a clean and enjoyable environment for all guests. By adhering to this requirement, we can ensure that everyone can fully enjoy the benefits of our hot tub and pool facilities.



◦ Items left behind will incur a minimum return shipping fee of $50, depending on the shipping address



* Additionally, any unauthorized late check-out beyond the 15-minute grace period will incur a $100 fee



* Pet fee is $100 per pet, additional pets is subject to approval. We are unable to accommodate cats due to the owner's severe allergy. Appreciate your understanding!
