The Gather 'Round Ranch is perfect for couples, friend getaways, artists who need a place to create, or anyone looking for a peaceful, design-forward home that feels worlds away. From the hand-troweled plaster walls to the light-filled creative spaces, the Ranch is designed to be a sanctuary for the senses and a launchpad for your desert adventures.

Location: Panorama Heights, Joshua Tree:

A quiet, elevated enclave known for its creative community, iconic boulder-strewn landscapes, and walkability into Joshua Tree National Park. The Gather 'Round Ranch is the perfect blend of desert solitude and convenience. Panorama Heights sits between Downtown Joshua Tree and the city of 29 Palms, hugging the boundary of Joshua Tree National Park.

Some highlights:

• Más O Menos (10-Min Walk): Our favorite neighborhood hang. Part third-wave coffee shop, part desert cantina. Perfect for a morning espresso or a sunset mezcal, they often host events and nightly food pop-ups.

•The Harrison House: Just up the road, this straw-bale home is an ecology and event center. They host permaculture workshops, musical performances and other desert-focused events like talks with astronomers.

•Joshua Tree National Park: You are minutes by car from the West Entrance, but you can also access the park on foot from the top of our street!

•Joshua Tree Village:  The shops and eateries of downtown Joshua Tree are 6 minutes by car.

The Space:

The "Great Room" serves as the heart of the home, defined by 12-ft ceiling with exposed beams, a wood-burning fireplace, and an upright piano. There is also an acoustic guitar, Fender Twin amp, and easel-mounted smart TV. We have a record player, vintage speakers and a curated collection of Country Western, RnB, and pop records for you to enjoy. It's a space for deep conversation, creative focus, or max-relaxing!

The Master Suite has sliding glass doors that lead to the outside, and an attached bathroom with an oversized bath tub.

Also attached to the Master Suite is the office which also has hand-troweled natural plaster walls, hi speed wifi, and an adjustable standing desk for two made of reclaimed wood.

The kitchen is fully stocked and has everything you need to prepare full meals. There is a propane grill outside for cooking as well.

The Guest Bathroom features microcement walls, an imported unlacquered brass shower head, and exposed copper pipes for vintage industrial meets Moroccan wet room feel.

The Guest Bedroom also featured hand-troweled natural plaster and custom reclaimed wood cabinetry, and is adjacent to the bathroom with the shower. Please note: there is no mini-split in this bedroom. There is a ceiling fan for warmer months, and a space heater and electric blanket for the winter.

Outdoor space:

The Gather 'Round Ranch sits on over an acre. The home is enclosed by a smaller fence to keep the wildlife out, but our property extends quite a bit beyond the fence. There is a chiminea (outdoor fire-pit) with two vintage motel chairs for stargazing. We provide outdoor Mexican blankets to keep you warm at night. There is also a vintage daybed under the covered patio for naps, as well as a table with four chairs for alfresco dining.

The Materials:

We have prioritized organic materials and finishes that age with patina— natural plaster, unlacquered brass & copper, custom millwork, and vintage industrial fixtures sourced from collectors like Dorset Finds and architectural salvage vendors across the country. The home is also filled with vintage curios, antiques, and furniture we've sourced from collectors.

Yes. We are located in a rare walkable pocket of Joshua Tree called Panorama Heights. You can stroll to Más o Menos for coffee, cocktails, and food pop-ups or visit the Harrison House Arts & Ecology Center. The Joshua Tree National Park boundary is also just minutes away by foot to the top of our street.

What creative equipment is provided for guests?:

The GRR is a dedicated artist sanctuary. The 1958 Great Room is equipped with a tuned upright piano, an acoustic guitar, a Fender Twin Reverb amp, and an audiophile setup featuring a record player with vintage speakers.

Is the property private and secure?:

Absolutely. The ranch sits on over an acre of private land in Panorama Heights. A smaller section around the home is fully fenced, so you can enjoy dinner on the covered patio in peace! It offers a secluded atmosphere for stargazing with a vintage chiminea and outdoor daybed, while keeping local desert wildlife at a respectful distance.

What is the "vibe" of the home?:

The ranch is a masterfully restored 1958 mid-century original. It features natural plaster walls, 12-ft beamed ceilings, and a custom microcement walk-in shower. It is designed for those who appreciate a "vintage boutique" patina over a standard modern rental.

Do you have high-speed internet for remote work?:

Yes. We provide high-speed WiFi, making the Ranch an ideal choice for creative retreats, songwriting sessions, or digital nomads looking for a quiet desert home base. We also feature a large adjustable height desk that can accommodate two people.
