INITIAL SUPPLIES - UPON ARRIVAL
Panhandle Getaways furnishes a few essential items for guests to utilize until they can get to the grocery store. Initial Supplies include: Dishwasher soap, small washing machine powder, each bathroom has amenities (like hotel but NOT restocked) shampoo, conditioner, soap bar. One roll of toilet paper in each bathroom and one paper towel roll in the kitchen. All bed linens and towels are provided. We encourage guests to bring beach towels for use at the pool and beach.

Very unpleased with our stay. First of all we had to pay 70 a person for arm bands the pools I assume which is absurd! One of the pools was so so dirty you couldn’t even get in it. Secondly had to pay 60 for the beach chairs, that we had to move from 3 times. Our 10 year old grandson was miserable here if that tells you anything

Poor communication

Our condo wasn’t not very clean. There was sand and crumbs under all furniture. Our in-room vacuum did not work. There was no coffee maker, as pictured- which is a necessity for us. There was mildew on the shower head and other areas of the bathtub. I contacted through messages the day we arrived and never heard a single reply back. Unpleased.

Great view. Lacking in other areas.

Cute room. Comfy bed. Great view. However, we weren’t aware parking was across the street. We only had a microwave to cook with. Coffee pot needs to be upgraded! Didn’t even know how to use it. Didn’t have paper towels. One roll of toilet paper until another was found in the garbage can under the garbage bag along with paper holder. Listing said we would have dish detergent; however, we were given detergent for a machine washer, which we didn’t have. Only able to access cable tv, so that needs to be upgraded to a smart tv. Not enough dishes. 2 plates and two bowls. Nearly every curtain had hooks missing, so they were hard to close.

Property itself is looking a little old and pools are smaller than they appear, but overall great place to stay. Only major compliant is elevator wait times are really bad at check in and during busy times

Vacation

Great property. Not a real crowded area. No issue getting in or out. The only thing I think could be different is understanding what the deal with towels is. I had 2 girls with me. When we checked in, there were 4 towels and 4 washcloths. The description says they provide these items. When I asked the first day, the lady told me to call when we needed more. I called Wednesday morning and again at 4:45 pm. Both times I was told there was an inspector at the property and they would bring some. Apparently I stepped on some toes with my second request. That night we received a trash bag stuffed with towels and washcloths. I think there needs to be a better understanding as to whether or not we needed to bring our own. Overall I would stay here again. Preferably a one bedroom.

Great vacation

Great place to stay. Our kids had a blast. There was something for everyone. The staff were awesome. Security was right on. We definitely plan on booking again next July with more family. The only thing I suggest is the housekeeping could be a little better and we didn’t receive any clean towels after calling housekeeping. I a corner unit and there was no washer/dryer. Other than that it was awesome

Construction!!!

We were not able to access our balcony due to construction going on directly outside of our room. We were not informed of any construction going on and were not informed that we wouldn’t be able to access our balcony. So if you like waking up to the sound of construction outside of your window early in the morning, and you like looking out at the beach through glass then this is for you. We also had to send 3 emails, and make several calls before actually talking to someone who offered some sort of a resolution. We were basically told that the room was already discounted due to the construction however, we weren’t informed of this or else I would’ve booked somewhere else. I also noticed that they still do not have the construction listed on their listings so beware.

Dirty, Needs Updating

I was very disappointed in this property. The overall appearance of this condo was dirty. Hand prints on the walls, hair in the mismatched silverware organizer, old/ brown caulking around the toilet. This condo needs a major updating. The bed linens were mismatched, there were no kitchen bowls for eating. Not even a butter knife. I contacted the management company multiple times. Once, they did come in and replace the caulking around the toilet, but nothing else was done. I left multiple messages for Panhandle getaways, and no one returned my calls. I wish I could attach photos of the condo as an example of it condition.

Nice room for a small family

We booked this condo for myself and 2 boys. The room was nice. Definitely enough space for us 3. The little couch pulls out into a twin bed. The view of the gulf is great. However upon arrival we had no bath towels only hand towels to dry off with. So I ran to dollar general to purchase bath towels. There is not a washer, dryer, dishwasher, stove or full size refrigerator in this unit. Comes with a mini fridge coffee pot, toaster, and microwave. That also means no cooking utensils either pots, pans, etc. Comes with cups, coffee mugs, and silverware. We've stayed at splash resort for the last 6 years but never in a studio. So we only assumed all units came equipped with that above. The details and description states it comes with all the items you'll need for your stay, to cook, etc. Its a little confusing and misleading. The wifi doesn't work, or it didn't while we were there for the week. This isn't a complaint. The room did its job and that was to hold our stuff and give us a place to shower and sleep.
