Sobre esta propriedade
Family and Pet Friendly 4-bedroom house in awesome Long Beach, WA
A trip to Long Beach, Washington is full of fun and adventure! Felicia's at the Beach is located eight blocks from the city center. Come and stay and play where you will have everything you need for the perfect get away!
The space
Whether you are looking for a quiet place to get away from your everyday life or sharing a vacation with friends and family, Felicia’s at the Beach offers it all. With four bedrooms that include two queen beds, one king in the master and two sets of bunk beds, you can bring the whole gang! Two full bathrooms means no one should have to wait to use one for very long. Our property boasts a large screen smart TV and free wi-fi. Occasionally, the plug to the back of the TV has come loose. If you have trouble getting the TV to work, please check the upper cables on the back of the TV. Your dog is welcome at Felicia’s as long as he is well trained, has no fleas and stays off the furniture. Your pup is part of the family!
Although eating out is an adventure all it’s own with the many great restaurants nearby, that can get expensive. The kitchen has all the amenities needed to fix your own meals or warm up those leftovers. Included in the kitchen are the stove/oven, microwave, refrigerator and dishwasher. Feel free to use the coffee maker and the coffee provided and the toaster to make your own breakfast without having to leave the house. Or, take a short eight block walk to the center of town to the bakery to sample their delicious breads and pastries.
Need groceries? Sid’s Market is located eight blocks south. There is also a Redbox kiosk there if you want to watch a great movie. (You will have to hook up the CD player which is located in the top drawer of the entertainment center.) Plug the CD player into the back of the TV and use the TV remote instead of the DVR remote.
Once you are ready for some fun, the go carts are located three blocks north. It’s an easy walk from there to the beach and the boardwalk, which is about four blocks west. This walk may be a little too far for young children or people with mobility issues. Drive north to the go carts and turn right at the light and the road will take you to the beach access and the boardwalk. There are public restrooms and plenty of parking there. You can rent bikes to ride on the paved path next to the boardwalk which goes from one end of town to the other. Or walk the boardwalk, which is accessible to those with less mobility than others.
If you need clean clothes, there is a washer and dryer at your disposal, so there is no need to bring your whole closet! Remember, you are here to relax and let your hair down.
Four miles to the south is the town of Ilwaco you will find restaurants, a Saturday market (in season) and the marina. Book one of the charter boats and go fishing for an adventure. You can also buy fresh fish and seafood such as crab and clams. Take them back to the house for a fish fry.
To the north about 15-20 miles, you can drive to Ocean Park, further north to historic Oysterville and on to Leadbetter State Park. The park includes a bird sanctuary. The old homes in Oysterville date back to the mid-1800’s and are still lived in. The church is open to the public and is a lovely example of the simple architecture of the era in which it was built.
If you are a garage sale fanatic, there are usually sales up and down the Peninsula most weekends. It's a great way to pick up a treasure or just while away your time.
Marsh's Museum is located at the center of town. There you will find oddities like Jake, the Alligator Man and a shrunken head, plus much, much more.
In for more adventuring? Head east and travel through Chinook on your way to Astoria and Seaside, Oregon. Seaside has a great outlet mall and fun downtown shops and a plus is you pay no tax. Don't forget to visit the aquarium while you are there. The kids will love feeding the seals and discovering what kinds of fish and other marine life inhabit the Pacific Ocean.
A little bit about Felicia’s at the Beach: Our mom, Phyllis, loved this house and all the adventures to be had in the area. When she was younger, she enjoyed painting and used the Spanish version of her name, Felicia, to sign her paintings. You will see a few of them in the house including the blue ship painting at the end of the hall and an ocean picture of the North Head lighthouse. Walking up to the lighthouse was one of her favorite activities. Even when Mom was affected by Alzheimer's, she still loved her beach house. We found it fitting to honor her memory by naming it Felicia’s at the Beach.
My brother Randy and I inherited the house when our father recently passed away. You will notuce his flag and picture, honoring his service in the U.S. army during the Korean Conflict and our love for him. The outside of the house is a work in progress. The fire pit area has been completed. Fire wood can be purchased at SIDS Market. This is fenced in for your privacy and safety of your pooch or your little ones.
We are licensed by the City of Long Beach for a maximum of 10 occupants. The bunk beds are for young people and the mattresses are definitely for kids.
Our desire is to make your stay a great experience. Please feel free to contact us with any questions or concerns. And don't forget: Have a great time!
Guest access
All amenities of the home except for those marked as homeowners.
Other things to note
City ordinance quiet time is 9 pm to 8 am. This does ot mean you can/t enjoy using the yard and fire pit but please be courteous to the neighbors.
