Fabulous 6-bedroom house on Lake Lure!

Bring the whole family to 'Lured In On Holmes Lake House', with lots of room for fun and relaxation. It's a perfect mountain and lake vacation. Located slightly off of the main channel in a large, deep-water cove, this property is perfect for swimming, fishing, and exploring the lake. This warm and inviting house has many places for everyone to find their favorite spot for downtime and spacious living and outdoor areas to gather as a group.

The space
Layout -
Main level: Open living plan - living room/dining/kitchen area. Two bedrooms are on the main level, one with a king bed and one with bunk beds. There is one bathroom on the main level, with a large walk-in shower with two shower heads. French doors lead out of the living/dining area to a screened-in porch, with lake and mountain views. Outside steps lead to the lower porch and lake access.

Upstairs: Master suite has king bed and en suite bath with a walk-in shower. There is a sitting area with a small balcony overlooking the lake off of the master bedroom. There are two other bedrooms. One bedroom is very large and has two queen beds and an en suite bath with a shower. The other bedroom is smaller with two twin beds. There is another full bathroom on this floor with two sinks and a tub/shower combination. The laundry room is also located on this floor and there is also a small alcove with a baby bed (alcove) can be closed off.

Downstairs: There is a family room and one bedroom downstairs. The bedroom has a double bed and an en suite bathroom with a shower. There is a Precor EFX elliptical machine downstairs in the living room. A covered porch with stairs lead to the sun deck on the water, the boathouse with kayaks and lake access. There is also a stone patio with outside seating overlooking lake.

Lakeside: There is a sun deck on top of the boathouse. There is also a floating dock as well as a covered deck area to get in out of the sun.

Guest access
Entire 2,800 ± sq ft, 3-story vintage lakefront home.

6 bedrooms – 2 bedrooms with a king bed each, 1 large bedroom with 2 queens, 1 bedroom with a double bed, 1 with 2 twins, and 1 with a set of bunk beds. Also, 1 baby bed, 1 queen sofa bed and 1 cot. Top-of-the-line mattresses.

5 full bathrooms – 4 with showers and 1 with tub/shower combination. Hair dryers.

Maximum occupancy: 14 (including children).

Rate includes two 9’ kayaks, one 3-person kayak, life vests, and water toys.

Large sun deck overlooking Lake Lure with outdoor furniture. Floating dock for swimming or docking a boat.

Private sand beach adjacent to boat house.

Lake access.

Easy access on paved road. Driveway is partly paved and partly gravel. Parking for 8-10 cars. There are 7 steps to the entrance of the house with a railing.

Please note that if you bring a boat, there is a boat permit fee charged by the Town of Lake Lure.

Great spot
Easy check in. Great location. Friendly and timely owners. This was a short guys trip with some old college buddies. One of our best trips yet.

Annual Girls’ Trip
In the 24 years of our annual family Girls’ Trip, this was the first house that we have revisited. The house is great, the location is great and we just love Lake Lure. The property managers were very responsive and helpful. As my great niece would say, “two thumbs up!”

Beautiful lake retreat
This is the perfect mountain/lake getaway. The house is fantastic for large family gatherings and sits on a gorgeous section of the lake. The home is very well decorated and is extremely well-stocked with supplies and amenities. There was even a green egg with charcoal there. The property manager was incredibly responsive and the owner was extremely accommodating due to our concerns with the recent lake draining schedule. We will definitely be back!
