Serenity Zen House on Seneca Lake - Pet Friendly

The Serenity Zen House is uniquely perched overlooking Seneca Lake. This is the ideal spot for a get-away in the Finger Lakes. There are several excellent wineries within a mile of the house and it is close to all the Finger Lakes attractions. Great for families, couples and groups just looking to get away for a few days of fun. Only 10 minutes from Hobart and William Smith.

There is a large kitchen overlooking the lake. The living room has a gas burning fireplace with a cathedral ceiling and a gorgeous view of the lake.

The master suite features a king size bed and provides an unsurpassed views over the lake. There is a queen size bed in each of the other two guest rooms. Roll-away beds are also available.

There are two modern baths with a tub/shower in the guest bath and a large shower with seat in the master bath.

The home features extensive multi-level decks overlooking the lake,
There is a private beach with access down a set of stairs and the beach has a gentle slope into the lake for wading and swimming.

Located on a town road the home is very easy to access and is conveniently located just 10 miles south of Geneva and 25 miles north of Watkins Glen in the heart of the Finger Lakes wine region.

We had a wonderful time at Seneca Lake with our dogs. The property is absolutely incredible—spacious, beautiful, and perfectly set up to relax and enjoy the lake. Having the dogs with us made it even better, and they loved it just as much as we did. We truly enjoyed our stay and look forward to coming back.

The house was great, clean and up to date. Location was perfect with excellent access to the lake and surrounding amenities while still feeling off the beaten path. Home owner was timely and good with communications. I would recommend noting the 2 kayaks available at the house in the amenities. Great to have!

A peaceful getaway

Peaceful place lakeside

Comfortable cabin by the lake with stunning views

Enjoyed a lovely stay at this cabin right on Seneca Lake. The view of the sunrise over the lake was just amazing. Beautiful and peaceful location. Plenty of space in the cabin. We cooked and the new stove was great. Fireplace was cozy on cool evenings. We definitely hope to return!

Great stay & roomy for a group

Excellent location, right on the lake. House has an open type concept & very cozy. Was winter when we stayed, & was warm & enjoyable. Rooms were good size & private. Great house great location, we'd definitely stay here again.

Perfect Home Base

Everything was as described, there were no surprises, and perfect location. Jim was very responsive when our trip was delayed and assisted with two pages of local wineries, places to eat and sights to see. Have already recommended and would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful views, central location

This was one of the cleanest VRBO vacation homes we've stayed in. Beautiful views of the lake, amazing outdoor space. House was an easy drive to both Geneva and Penn Yan, our two favorite towns to visit in the Finger Lakes. Was super helpful that both our dogs could come spend the weekend with us and had plenty of space to play.

Great house on the Lake

This was perfect for my three boys and our dog. The gated deck and dock were a great place to hang. The house was clean and beds comfortable. Linens etc was all as expected. The dead end street is nice and quiet as well. Would highly recommend.

Absolutely lovely place with lake access and views

My husband, dog, & I stayed here for 4 nights and I wish we had more time because it was wonderful. The house is open, has a nice kitchen, a spacious primary bedroom, & two guest rooms. Everything was organized and clean and check in & out were super easy. Everything was accurate to the listing and photos provided. There's a huge dock as well as a second deck by the water and a little beach area that's perfect for younger kids that want to play rather than swim. By the dock there's a lot of weeds, but if you swim out deeper you can enjoy the water. I'd suggest water shoes as the rocks are slippery but easy to navigate with shoes on. I was a bit worried about the stairs down to the water as I have bad knees, but even I was able to navigate the stairs going slowly. It's the about the same as two flights of stairs in a house. Pretty much everywhere in the house that faces the water has amazing views. There's a nice table and grill on the deck. We had some friends visit for dinner and their two young children had a great time swimming and enjoying the deck. The place is very dog friendly and our dog loved having the freedom to roam inside the house or outside on the enclosed deck. There isn't central AC but the unit in the main area & bedrooms worked great and we were fine on 85 degree days. It is right next to the train tracks and the trains are pretty loud, but they're super short so it never bothered us. I highly recommend the Serenity Zen House!

Finger Lakes Fun

We had a wonderful stay at Serenity Zen. The house was in a great location to explore Wineries, Breweries, great restaurants and NY State Parks. We especially enjoyed our time on the deck overlooking Seneca Lake and using the provided kayaks. We plan on coming back!

Great Lake Location

This house was very clean and in a comfortable location. All neighbors were quiet. The multiple decks (including the dock space) were laid out well. All of the basics were there for our use, and the owner was available should we have needed anything. We would stay there again.

Great first visit to the Finger Lakes - thank you!

Our family of four visited for a wonderfully long week. Highlights of this property: Beautiful view Easy access to lake Quiet and peaceful on the lake Skipping stone heaven :) House stocked with many amenities we would normally travel with - a big treat! Two bathrooms and a full three bedrooms Lots of space Host communication excellent Close to “other things to do” and restaurants, groceries If you’re visiting for the first time, don’t miss: Watkins Glen trails Sans Dumplings The Spotted Duck Once (one stop unique wine tastings) Amity Coffee Watershed Brewing Black Squirrel Farm tour - native black walnut A drive up and around through Geneva - enjoy the history, walk around, beautiful! Things you might want to know: You still will be in the car, but short drives Wegmans is very helpful to have nearby There is laundry at the house now!!! It is an all-in-one machine, so loads take time. But it is so helpful to have Bring towels for the lake/boats Nearby outfitter will deliver and pick up additional boats - the house has two singles. Ask if they take payment other than cash - or bring enough cash Lake is fantastic for paddling - kayak and SUP time everyday Natural lake bottom, rocks, and vegetation (yay!) - your kids might want water shoes or the like until they adjust The a/c works very well, but bedroom window units can be loud There’s a train! It’s short, and infrequent, but can be loud The kitchen is well-stocked and ready to cook/eat any food you want to bring
