VRBO gave this property a spot on their first ever Top Ten Canadian Vacation homes list in 2022. This is truly a unique thoughtful home. Furnishings and original art create a home that is clearly loved. It has been described as a late 60's early 70's, Scandinavian ski home. There are two master bedrooms upstairs with king sized beds. A bunk room downstairs that sleeps six, and an additional three beds in the TV room.
The mudroom is equipped with built in boot and glove dryers for twelve.
The kitchen is a chef's paradise. Stocked with nearly all imaginable tools and small appliances for even the most experienced chefs , including an outdoor wood burning pizza oven.
The home is wired for sound.
The garage has been turned into the 'Tournament Ping Pong' ,fitness room available to use at your own risk.
There is a eight person hot tub outside as well as an electric sauna.
Living areas are perfect for large groups as well as intimate small gatherings.

Beautiful. Thoughtfully designed creative, functional use of space, attention to detail. Unique sleeping arrangements with many single beds, perfect for our family. Wish there was an easier way to get here, but being away is part of the experience.

We had a great time at this truly ski in /ski out home. Every possible convenience was available. Beds were the best we've slept on at a VRBO. Could not recommend highly enough!

Great ski in/out location.

This house was perfect! We had a large group with both kids and adults and the house was so perfect and well equipped. Easy to get to the base for skiing and the kids were in heaven in the bunk rom together. Highly recommend for a big group!

Extraordinary home and location

This home exceeded our every expectation from the two master bedrooms (perfect for a two family vacation), the kitchen and gym that had everything you can think of, to the amazing bunk bed, excellent for a crew of kids of any age! We would go back anytime.

Ideal Winter Getaway

What a dream. This gorgeous ski in/out was the perfect destination for a wedding proposal. After spending the day on the hill, the ability to relax in the hottub/sauna was much appreciated. Tastefully decorated with eye-stopping artwork in every room. We will absolutely be back to celebrate future anniversaries!

The perfect set-up!! Ski-in Ski-out, everything that we needed was there (and more) The quality of the construction, design, lay-out and of the furniture is fantastic! Highly recommended! The only negative point was the poor quality of the Internet connection.

Another wonderful family ski vacation @ KH

This is our 4th time @ KH and this is by far the best home we've had. The owners have thought of everything you would ever need. The music system is great, the kitchen has every utensil and cooking tool you will ever need. The beds are very comfortable and the location is great with easy ski-in and the ski-out isn't difficult either though there are a couple of flats you need to pole through. The owners are very accommodating and respond quickly to any requests. We definitely want to book this home again.

Wonderful Kicking Horse home

We have travelled from Sydney, Australia and have been absolutely thrilled. The house is beautifully designed and thoughtfully appointed. You have thought of everything! We've absolutely loved it, and especially the fire, ping pong, spa, and interesting art. Such a stunning home. We've also loved the thrills of the mountain. Amazing Property and Hosts!!!

Our family (2 adults and 2 adult children and one teen child) thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Kicking Horse. Blair and Tara's home is perfect. The gourmet kitchen, the fantastic master suites, the incredible bunk room, and the media room were all awesome. Also, the back porch with the pizza oven was a favorite hangout. Additionally, the stream in the backyard is quite soothing to listen to and really provides an incredible ambiance. We would HIGHLY recommend this home and Blair and Tara are consummate hosts! Our days were consumed with activities in and around Kicking Horse. We spent time at Eagle's Eye restaurant (top of Kicking Horse resort), played golf at Golden Golf Club (unbelievable course in fantastic shape - including a putt-putt course in the back of the clubhouse), Lake Louise, Banff, hiking in and around the area, whitewater rafting the Kicking Horse River. All around fantastic trip!

The perfect ski chalet!!

This house is amazing!! The most well thought out house we have stayed in! House perfectly set up for 2 families to stay in, the bunk bed room is perfect for the kids each with it's own cubby area for their things (We had all adult kids that fit perfectly in their bunk beds, 4 parents and 9 young adult kids). Media room is great for hanging out and watching TV, everyone could lounge comfortably. Ping pong table kept kids happy. Upstairs, the kitchen is extremely well appointed, there was nothing we were missing. TONS of room for everyone in the kitchen/dining area. Two large master bedrooms each with their own ensuites. Massive dressing room area for taking off your ski stuff after a beauty day at the hill, complete with each station having boot and mitt dryers. Ski right down to the gondola and stop in for lunch. Hot tub and sauna right outside the door. This house couldn't have been more well thought out. BEAUTIFUL place to stay, can't wait to come again!

We are a family of 5 from Edmonton, Alberta. We initially were introduced to the hill 21 yrs ago when we purchased a unit in Whispering Pines. We weren't skiers but loved the idea of doing an activity together as a family. As you can imagine our boys went from skiing in between our knees to leaving us behind rapidly.

We loved our townhouse in Whispering Pines but would often walk around the different strata's and even look at homes for sale wishing for a bit more space so we could host family and friends. We were never satisfied with the inventory , feeling some spaces were needlessly large and overbuilt for weekend getaways. We enlisted a close friend to design and build Owls Nest and have been more attached to KH than ever.

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

The attention to detail in this home makes it hard to leave. Every room is cozy and comfortable and beautifully designed and furnished. We have had three families in this home at once with every bed filled and never did we fill crowded. The kitchen is perfect for family buffet style eating, and the two dishwashers and space helps make clean up easy. There are many areas to hang out in; you can always find the peace or the "party" you are looking for.
Ski in literally to back door.
We love sitting in the pumpkin chairs with morning coffee and gazing down the valley.
Coming up the stairs to the heart of the home always brings warmth and joy to us all.
