Sometimes the best family getaway is the one where you don't need to go anywhere at all! We're so glad the spacious layout gave everyone room to relax and that the game rooms, indoor pool, sauna, and hot tub provided plenty of ways to have fun together. We're also happy you enjoyed the location—close to Gatlinburg without having to spend your vacation sitting in Parkway traffic is definitely a plus! The vertical space behind the stair treads is open rather than enclosed, but there are no gaps within the steps themselves. We're sorry the pool heater issue affected your stay. However, several statements in your review are factually inaccurate and misrepresent the circumstances and efforts made by our team. We believe it's important to set the record straight. When you reported the pool issue, we immediately dispatched our pool service vendor. Unfortunately, a replacement part had to be ordered, preventing repairs during your stay. Our General Manager also stopped by your cabin personally to follow up, but no one answered. This was an unexpected equipment failure, not neglected maintenance. We strongly disagree with your characterization of our communication. Our call records confirm conversations with both our virtual guest services representative and Guest Relations Manager. We also contacted you after checkout to arrange the return of a personal item left behind. These documented interactions demonstrate our team's responsiveness and continued commitment to guest care. **We strongly dispute your suggestion that this property suffers from black mold, electrical hazards, or widespread maintenance neglect.** Our homes undergo professional cleaning and inspections between every reservation, and we take property safety and upkeep seriously. Not one of these additional concerns was reported to our team during your stay, despite your established communication with management. These are serious allegations, and we have found no evidence to substantiate them. Regarding the road closure, this is a longstanding resort issue that predates 365 Getaways' management. The HOA's new board is actively researching potential solutions to address this ongoing concern. It is not a consequence of the change in management. While we regret the inconvenience caused by the pool heater, unexpected equipment failures can occur. What matters is how we respond, and our team acted promptly and professionally.
