Two floors of decks means two floors of relaxation! You'll love all the spots where you can kick back and relax at this home. You may have to play rock-paper-scissors for the extra swing under the porch! The bright interior will help you get in the mood to visit the beach, and the central air conditioning will help keep everyone comfortable. Cook up a delicious meal together in the semi-open kitchen, complete with a prep island and a dishwasher. Relax with ease while the private washer/dryer takes care of the day's beach towels. The lovely ocean views will also help put you in the vacation mood. Just rinse off your sand in the outdoor shower and head on inside.

Absolutely without a doubt this has been the best mini family vacation we have ever took.The directions to the property were easy and thorough,accessing the property was just as easy the view was amazing we loved how cleaned and the upkeep of the property is. We definitely loved the seclusion and how quiet and peaceful it is out there it was worth every dollar spent the restaurant's we visited were amazing the service was top tier everything about the island was amazing! We will most definitely book this house again soon !!

We loved everything about our stay! The house was clean, kitchen needs were all met, the deck and beach access was on point! We thoroughly enjoyed the bed swings on the bottom deck for our shaded needs! This was the best weather, calmest and clearest water in our three years of visiting the island! We saw dolphins, lots of fish jumping throughout the day, fishing opportunities, few jellyfish and even caught some hermit crabs! We had a fabulous stay and can’t wait to return next year!

Great vacation home rental! Check-in, check-out pricess was quick and easy. Home was comfortable and spacious, had a well stocked kitchen with lots of prep space and quality appliances. Great uninterupted views of the gulf, with both covered and open seating areas on the large deck. The house is very close to the ocean, so you don't need to lug a lot of stuff to the beach... you can just hop back to the house to refill your drink, grab a snack, etc.

Dauphin Island stay

Beautiful location, house was very nice! Needed parking permit which was never supplied even after 3 requests, but didn't get towed so okay.

Everything you hoped for and more.

This is just a great property. You’re literally on the beach and can see the other side of the island from the front porch. The kitchen has everything you need to cook. It’s got a large appropriately sized television set for that group movie watching. The beds are fabulous, it’s beautifully appointed. Worth every penny.

Quick get away

The house was a great size. Great location and easy to get to. The deck needs some repairs and leaves splinters in your feet. Babies can’t crawl in the upper deck. All in all a great stay and we would visit again.

My Enchanted Visit

Very relaxing. It was a little cool and windy but we were able to make good use of the "swinging beds" on the second level! Snuggle up with a good blanket and enjoy the sound of the waves lapping onto the shore. Then the rainstorm came in and that was another sight to see! I loved watching that also! It was a wonderful few days of relaxing pleasure!

great access to beach, very clean, need a few more household items

Our family stayed for 1 week and had a good time. The house was very clean upon arrival. The house could have been furnished with a few more household supplies for the size of the house and the number of people it could accommodate. These items were needed: several more kitchen towels (more than 2), more dishwasher detergent (tiny bottle supplied), a drying rack for hand-washed items (none supplied), more than 2 kitchen trash bags, more trash sacks for the bathroom trashes, sharp knives (all were dull), kitchen storage containers like Pyrex or Rubbermaid for leftover food (none supplied). There was a broken coffee cup in the kitchen cupboard. Several kitchen tiles and tiles outside the laundry room were broken, and the refrigerator was set so cold that it froze our food stored in the back.

That said, we apologize for any areas you felt could use some TLC and shared your comments with the local manager. To clarify, while we do provide a starter pack of supplies that includes paper products and trash bags, this is only to get your stay off to a good start and may not last through your entire visit, especially if your party is large. We apologize for any inconvenience this caused. Our local manager assured us they will get with the homeowner about adding more kitchenware and we appreciate your feedback as an opportunity to improve. We enjoyed having you as our guest and hope to host you again.

Roaches

House had roaches. No toaster. Floors were not cleaned. Cabinets need cleaned inside and out. Coffee pot doesn’t make hot coffee. Had to microwave it. Under nightstands had candy wrappers. Only 2 dish towels. No pot holders. But…love how close it is to the water and love the covered deck.

Never Stay Here

This was the worst experience I have had. There were multiple problems with the property including a carpet in the main room that was loose with edges turned up that caused people to trip and a staircase that was lower on one side than the other which also caused people to fall. One of the toilets was loose and rocked back and forth. The TV and internet did not work. Nothing was said in advance that if you parked in the designated location and the tide was extremely high your car could become flooded and/or sanded in. I have made multiple attempts to contact VACASA but no one will contact me back.

Rent at your own risk

The house itself was great except for the cockroaches and the air conditioner (which could not be set below 72). I ran into issues with the property manager company, Vacasa. Three hours before I arrived I received a call from Vacasa saying Nightingale had no power and we were being moved to a different house (that was not directly on the beach) for that night and most of the following day. We had packed food for the entire week along with all our personal and beach items, so it was a huge inconvenience to unload, re-pack, and re-unload everything. It's also worth noting I selected the Nightingale house directly on the beach for a handicapped family member to be more involved. After explaining to Vacasa how we had essentially lost a day of the vacation I asked for a refund for just the day missed. I was offered less than a 10% refund for my trouble, which I never received.
