Not the luxury you expect
Before our stay at the studio, I admit, I kind of overread the 2 star review, because it just didn’t fit to the beautiful pictures and the other reviews. Besides, there are always people, who complain... Unfortunately, our experiance was similar to the 2*-review. The photos show overall luxury, which you won’t find.
But lets start with the nice things first: Belsize is a nice area with many good restaurants. The studio is only few minutes from the tube and yet it is an absolutely quiet neighbourhood. Also the supermarket is just down the street. The studio is big enough for two, and so is the bed. The kitchen is well equipped.
BUT: in the description it sais Wifi available – not true! There is no Wifi in the studio and the owner never replied to my emails (2) concerning this. The studio is dirty, and I mean dirty! Hair from previous travelers and dirty everything: dishes, furniture (I cleaned it with wipes before using and the tissue was dark), mirrors, bathroom, etc. The kettle was plain nasty. I don’t know, what it was, that was in it, but it looked as if someone had coocked sausages in it and didn’t clean it. The bathroom sink is rediculously small – our hands hardly fit under the water jet. And last but not least: you can hear all travelors through the wall, so you better bring ear plugs. We recommend the studio partly – better not book if you are bothered by dirt.
