Grandpa's Point is a classic lakefront getaway with everything you need for the perfect water vacation. With 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms, there's plenty of room for everyone.

This is a true lakefront experience. Step outside and you're right only 240 feet away from water access and a private 2-slip dock ready for your boats, kayaks, or sunset lounging. Serious anglers will feel right at home with access to a private cove offering premium, sheltered fishing conditions and abundant fish that keeps guests coming back cast after cast. Two public boat ramps are just a 2-minute drive away, making launch day completely effortless.

When you're ready to come ashore, the fun doesn't stop. Gather around the outdoor firepit with firewood provided (when available) for s'mores and stargazing under open skies. Start your mornings in the enclosed sunroom, sipping coffee while watching the mist lift off the water. A large covered carport means plenty of room for vehicles, boat trailers, and all your gear.

We have stayed here twice and both times were wonderful! Kitchen is well stocked, sunroom/porch is perfect for games/hangout, rooms are comfortable, and dock is so convenient for those bringing a boat. Location on lake and property is perfect. We will definitely be back next summer!

Seemless communication, it had what was needed for a big family for a short stay. The view is amazing. Grocery stores are far but for quick urgent stuff there is a dollar general close by. Prizer point resort is very close where we got a campsite for 37 per day and got all amenities included. So for us that had no boat or kayaks was very valuable and made our stay so much fun

Grandpa’s cabin was the perfect home-base for our extended Father’s Day weekend! We brought a boat and were able to launch it only a couple minutes away and keep it at the private dock on site. The yard is large and perfect for our pups. Kitchen is well supplied, ample parking (even with a large boat trailer) and the sunroom was our favorite spot for evening card games and watching the sunrise/set over the lake.

Such a lovely quiet place right on the water. Very clean with all the comforts of home. The host was very friendly. Overall it was like staying at a friend’s house. All you need to bring is your own outside chairs. Boat rental close by within minutes of the property. Wonderful place to unwind.

This is the perfect place to unwind from the day to day hustle and bustle. It was quiet and peaceful. The host had everything needed in the home. Fishing was great except for the one that got away. Definitely recommend!

Great house! Old school flavor with the biggest back yard you could imagine for a lake front rental. Everything was clean and the host stayed in touch the entire time. Plenty of room to park and two boat ramps within a 5 min drive. Would definitely stay here again and I would recommend this place to anyone. Thank you again.

We really enjoyed our stay. So relaxing, like going to grandma’s house.Pet friendly, Cadiz KYThe host was extremely helpful, and I just loved conversing with her. My granddaughters, enjoyed sitting on the dock with what else…. Cell phones lol. If you have a chance, just want to get away Grandpa’s House is where to go.

Upon arrival, the house was clean, spotless, well-stocked kitchen with utensils and cooking appliances. The beds were extremely comfortable. The dock was easily accessible. We did have a boat with us while we were there. We had a really crazy storm come through on Sunday, and the boat and dock were perfectly fine and safe. There were only two items of note:1. The door: to get it to lock, we didn't have instructions for that, so it took us a little bit to figure that out. 2. There was not a large skillet.We very much appreciated that there was a portable air conditioning unit in the sun room/sun porch area. We spent a lot of time out there. Internet worked great. Phone service was spotty, typical of Lake Berkeley. We are on Verizon, just for a note of information. Overall we are super happy with this location and house and will for sure keep it in our list of houses that we rent on Lake Barkley, as we are down multiple times a year. Valerie

This was one of our favorite hidden gems in Cadiz , Ky. We visited for Labor Day weekend and had a blast. It was a family reunion and had several people there. The house was Spacious, clean, decorated nicely, spacious table for playing games and a very nice sunroom that was air conditioned. The view was spectacular, right on the water. The dock was a bonus for the boat. It was very well stocked and the host has thought of everything. I wish I hadn’t forgot to write a note in the book she had available for a memory.The kitchen had every pot and pan, and dish you could ask for. A lot of dishes, silverware and bakeware. The toaster oven that does everything was a nice bonus. She left us a snack basket on the table with waters and snacks. The towels were nice in the bathroom and she had hand sanitizer, soft soap , shampoo, Conditioner and body wash in the shower and the shower curtain was new. Scented candles everywhere. It felt like home. She even had a nice selection of feminine hygiene items in the bathroom. There was a nice washer and dryer and a large supply of take home containers for leftovers. She had a spice rack with anything you could want. The grill is Charcoal so my husband was out of practice but we figured it out. The air conditioner worked well in the extreme heat. She had a basket of throw blankets and the recliners were comfortable. Enough shade parking for everyone!! She allowed us to use a golf cart on her grass. We had plenty of toilet paper and trash bags

We had a wonderful stay at this property! Everything was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. The host was great, and the overall experience was smooth from start to finish. It was truly a pleasure staying here, and we would definitely recommend it to other travelers!
