Bridgeview Cottage with Weekday Pontoon Boat Access, and Quiet Peninsula Setting

Escape to this custom-built cottage tucked away on a quiet dead-end street near beautiful Lake Barkley. Located less than a mile from Highway 68/80, this peaceful retreat offers the perfect balance of privacy, comfort, and convenient access to everything the area has to offer.

The home features two comfortable bedrooms, each with its own private bathroom and queen bed, making it ideal for couples or small families traveling together. An upstairs loft provides additional sleeping with a full bed and a twin, allowing the home to accommodate up to eight guests, though it is most comfortable with five or fewer.

Inside, you’ll find a fully equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances and all the basic cookware needed for preparing meals during your stay. The living area offers a cozy leather couch and gas log fireplace, perfect for relaxing evenings. A 55-inch Samsung smart TV with Roku and complimentary Wi-Fi are included for entertainment and convenience.

Step outside to enjoy the screened-in back porch where you can relax bug-free while taking in the quiet surroundings. The deck leads down toward the gently sloping shoreline where guests can swim, fish, or simply enjoy the lake views. The lake bottom is rocky and semi-muddy, so lake shoes are recommended for swimming.

Although the cottage itself cannot have a dock on the main channel, guests are welcome to use the owner’s dock located just a short three-minute walk down the street. You’re also invited to visit the scenic peninsula lot at the end of the street, a beautiful spot to relax by the water.

During the promotional season from May through October, guests staying Monday through Thursday may enjoy access to a shared pontoon boat at no additional cost. Safety instructions and a waiver are required before use, and the boat must be operated by someone age 21 or older. The pontoon is available from sunrise to sunset and is shared among several rental homes.

Your stay also includes a five-person pass to the Lake Barkley State Park Fitness Center, which features an indoor pool, sauna, steam room, racquetball courts, free weights, Nautilus equipment, outdoor basketball and tennis courts, and daily fitness classes.

Additional amenities include all linens provided, a propane grill, parking for two to three vehicles with overflow parking available, and pet-friendly accommodations for up to two pets with an additional fee.

Outdoor enthusiasts will love the area’s endless activities including boating, fishing, hiking, biking, horseback riding, and exploring nearby Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area. Turkey Bay Off-Road Park and several historic sites are also within easy driving distance.

~The boat will be kept at our docks on the bayside of the street. You can easily walk or drive to the dock. It will start with a full tank of fuel and need to be full when it is returned or we can fill it for you for $25 per quarter of a tank on the guage.~
~It's a 10 passenger boat. Basic, adult, orange, life jackets will be provided. Please bring children's life jackets.~
~No need to reserve in advance unless you want it during a time it's not included.~

~A $300 damage deposit will be held at the time of the boat use.~
~No cash value. Mother nature doesn't listen to me, if there is a lake wind advisory the boat will not go out. If there is a bad storm coming the boat will not go out, safety is my insurances first priority.~
~Contact me once you have arrived to set up a time to meet the following morning to sign the waiver and view the boat~ Not everyone uses the pontoon so if you do not contact me once you have arrived I will assume you don't want the boat and I will go on with my day. Please call or text me the evening prior to you taking the boat out to set up a meeting time.~



As you can see in the pictures, this home features two bedrooms both with private baths. Each bedroom has a queen sized bed.. The upstairs loft will sleep 3 with a full and twin sized bed. The kitchen has new stainless steel appliances and is stocked with the basic necessitates to make your stay as relaxing as possible. There is a screened in back porch for your bug-free enjoyment.

I live at the end of the street and you are always welcome to stroll down 3 houses and use the entire peninsula lot! This cottage is not allowed a dock on the main channel but you are welcome to use our dock, its just a 3 min walk down to our lot. The 55'' LED Samsung TV has a Roku for your enjoyment. Also, free Wifi for your convenience. On a chilly day, you can snuggle up on the leather couch and enjoy the gas log fireplace.

2026 fitness center remodel planned but not scheduled, possibly unavailable: Included in your stay is a 5 person pass to The Fitness Center at Lake Barkley State Park. The Fitness Center features; indoor pool, sauna, steam room, racquetball, free weights, Nautilus machines, outdoor basketball, outdoor tennis, daily aerobic classes, and much much more. located about 4 miles away.

This house will be most comfortable with 5 or less people. 8 guests is our maximum.

No more than 2 pets are allowed. There is a $100 fee for each pet.


 There is room for 2-3 cars in the driveway. There is plenty of room for over flow parking, just let me know and I’ll show you where it is.

 ALL your linens are provided. I always recommend bringing your pillow for your comfort.

 The kitchen has basic pots and pans and utensils for your general cooking needs. We recommend bringing your own cooking spices and any type of storage for your food you might need.

 There is a full size fridge and freezer in the kitchen.

 The neighborhood is located on a dead end street and is usually very quiet.

 Our neighbors’ kids play in the street so please drive with caution.

 The grill is propane and the propane is provided. Bring a lighter as ours tend to walk off.

 The outdoor grill is not cleaned by the cleaning staff, please clean up after yourself. Also, please excuse the last guest for not listening to the first part of this statement.

 The steps on the deck will lead you all the way to the shoreline.

 The water is gently sloping and you can swim from the shore.

 The bottom of the lake is rocky and semi-muddy. I recommend wearing lake shoes.

 Yes, you can fish from the shoreline. KY fish and game laws apply, licenses are easily purchased online.

 You can use any of the docks on the bayside at the end of the street.

 Everyone is welcome to come to the end of the street and use my lot on the point. I do ask that you respect our privacy.

-With being on the lake there is always a chance of bugs, please understand we do everything we can to keep the outside of the house clean but sometimes it just is not possible. June, July, and August have what is called a Mayfly hatch occasionally, they do not bite and are good for fishing.
• We have 6 pontoon boats available for rent. They are shared between all of our rental houses and I do recommend you reserve in advance, our rental website is enjoylakebarkley.com (click on boats). The boats are always docked at our docks. Once I have given you safety instructions you are allowed to use the boat from sunrise to sunset. NO night use. If you are out after dark I will assume you are missing and emergence personnel will be notified. If you are staying during the promotional period you can disregard the rental paragraph.
• No penalty for boat rain outs. If you reserve we do ask that you plan on using the boat or it will be deducted from your deposit. No half day rentals. An additional $300 deposit will be held for the pontoon.

Boats are seasonal may-september

 I always recommend you bring your food with you. Our grocery stores are no comparison to the stores most are used to in the city.
