Things To Know
Tahoe is home to many animals. You may experience bears, raccoons, mice, and other animals. Meadows are home to many rodents. When these areas are filled with water or snow, these animals move to homes in the area. You may experience these animals in or near your home.
WiFi can be spotty in the mountains.
This home is not equipped with air conditioning.
Parking is limited to 2 vehicles in the driveway only.
Street parking is not permitted and may result in fines or towing.
Please make sure cars are parked fully within the driveway and not blocking sidewalks or neighboring properties.
Oversized vehicles, trailers, RVs, and boats are not allowed.
Garbage and recycling should be stored in the big metal bear box next to the driveway. There is a key attached to the box you'll need to use to open AND close the door. When closing the door, please make sure the latch is engaged. Our bears are pretty smart. DO NOT LEAVE KEY IN BEAR BOX. This will ensure that the local wildlife cannot get to your trash.
NOTE: The city of South Lake Tahoe takes the safety of their wildlife and the beauty of their city very seriously. So please never leave garbage outside overnight as the wildlife will find it, and guests will be responsible for any clean up or fines that may occur.
