Absolutely gem of a place to stay. I stayed here with my wife and dog, we had so much fun and cannot wait to come back. This will be our spot on the McKenzie going forward!

We enjoyed our stay, quiet and relaxing. The communication with the host was terrific. We do like to cook and wish the home had a few more larger pots besides a small saucepan & maybe Dutch oven pot. Also some large mixing bowls. The beds were very comfortable and sitting on the outside deck was spectacular. We would recommend this place.

Very nice house, really enjoyed the large amount of windows/sliding doors so you get a lot of natural light. The deck is incredible. Loved the fire pit by the river, the wood shed was so well stocked with very nice dry wood. We saw a mink, a few osprey, lots of ducks and geese. Got some good fishing location tips from the maintenance guy, appreciated that! We really enjoyed how peaceful it was...until the last night. A family with screaming kids came to the large house next to us. Made it not so hard to leave this morning!

We’re so glad to hear you enjoyed the natural light flooding in through the large windows and sliding doors, and it sounds like the deck and fire pit by the river were perfect spots for relaxation. It’s wonderful that you had the chance to connect with nature and even spot some wildlife like the mink and osprey. We understand how the noise from the neighboring house could be a bit disruptive, especially after such a peaceful stay. Thank you for sharing your experience with us. Me and my mother who is 86 had a wonderful stay. I wish one of the bathrooms in the shower was more handicap efficient and thought the layout of the living room was not senior citizen friendly me and my mom had a hard time seeing the TV with it so far away kitchen table in front of it was sort of weird with people sitting there so we did not go up there to watch TV but it started raining. also we are from the McKenzie River lived up their 50 years and I asked if I could have two people over for dinner and was told no that was a little disappointing. that we had to make other plans for dinner so we could be with other family members, but we did have a lovely visitor. A dog was lost and came on the property. We found their owner. Very lovely setting watching the fish and the Osprey. It was great.
