Slow Drift



The Space:

Adequately named, “Slow Drift” will put you at ease during your next unforgettable vacation to Edisto Beach. This home is nestled under beautiful live oaks and palmetto trees providing a wonderful site to create new memories and continue vacation traditions alike. Spend hours relaxing on one of two screened porches or take advantage of the top floor sun deck which offers a partial view of the Atlantic Ocean. The ground level patio is a great place to chill and grill, and features plenty of covered parking for the boat. Tasteful decorations extend throughout and will have you enjoying your time indoors just as much as the outdoors. The well-stocked kitchen opens to the dining/living area where you will share laughter about your day at the beach while the chef in your group prepares a Lowcountry feast. Internet access and cable television will keep your group entertained if a brief afternoon shower interrupts your fun in the sun. Of course, you visit Edisto to hang out on the beach. From house to shore is only a short 5-minute walk. Take a break from the daily grind, come on down, and get on island time.

We absolutely loved this house and the location. Just a nice walk to the beach. We enjoyed sitting in the rocking chairs on the lanai and watching the deer and the squirrels. We definitely plan on staying here again!

Very close to beach. Quiet street

The bathroom outside was very convenient. Loved the screened in porches. So close to beach. Really enjoyed staying here. Loved the layout of this house. Everybody had their own space

Perfect for a quiet getaway

If you are looking for a quiet place to relax, then this home is it! Deer greeted us every morning while we enjoyed the screened in front porch. The bedrooms are private and comfortable. Truly a welcoming home that invites you to curl up with a book. Cozy, quiet, and clean!

Sweet set up for beach fun!

Love the way the rooms are in the four corners of the house! Very comfortable sitting areas with the big screened in back porch, top deck, and front porch rocking chairs were the favorite for morning coffee! Easy walk to the beach.

Lovely!

The house was immaculate when we arrived. Excellent layout, with the bedrooms and bathrooms on either side of the main living area. Very comfortable and quiet. Lots of deer in the yard in the evenings. Short walk to the beach. We will stay here again!

Lovely Home

The house is lovely and the location brought the wildlife closer. The deer and raccoons were something to see!! Some of my family members thought that the mattresses were hard but personally I slept wonderfully on the firm mattress!! The two enclosed porches were great in the evening and for mealtimes. Quiet area also!! 10 out of 10 would recommend.

Perfect Beach Setting

This house wins for best floor plan ever! The layout makes the house seem much larger than the square footage would suggest and everything flows together nicely. The decor is very tasteful and adds to the beach vibe. Sitting in the rockers on the front porch with the ocean breeze and tree canopy can’t be beat. The beach itself is an easy walk from the house and was very quiet in late September. The house was spotless and smelled clean and fresh. The kitchen was very well stocked although you might want to bring things like plastic wrap, foil or ziplocks if you think you might need them. After 33 years of annual gatherings with five ladies (all now in their 70’s) we all agreed this was the best house we have stayed in.
