The Space:

The Greens condominiums are within Shipyard Plantation, a private residential and resort community with many biking and walking paths. The complex encompasses two and a half blocks of the Atlantic Ocean, the Sonesta oceanfront resort, and the Van der Meer Tennis Academy. The condo offers a spacious layout, an upgraded kitchen with granite and stainless steel appliances, plus all-new carpets, tile, new wood laminate, furniture, new bathroom vanities, and new drapes. This home is beautiful and has all the comforts you expect including two flat-screen TVs and free WiFi. The condo also provides wonderful office space, and a reading nook/relaxation room - a multipurpose room for whatever you choose to use it for.



Guests can enjoy dining and entertainment venues offered by Sonesta. The Shipyard Golf Course has a unique combination of 9, 18, or 27 holes available for play. Just beyond the Shipyard gate, vacationers find a wide selection of restaurants, shopping venues, and entertainment for all ages at Coligny Plaza in North Forest Beach.

Have always stayed a week in Hilton head on way home to CT from Florida. Usually in Beachwalk at Shipyard. Booked the greens this year and was so disappointed. Condo so very dirty on arrival with food and wrappers beside couch, dead bugs on floor in bathroom and dirty dishes in cupboard. Not what I expected at all.Very poorly equipped kitchen with extremely limited broken items for cooking. The bathroom off master bedroom is horrible and I mean horrible. You can barely close door without hitting toilet or get into shower. Smallest bathroom I have ever encountered with no sense whatsoever.All my rentals thru VRBO and resort rentals in over20 years been great but not this one.

Jerry’s story

I enjoyed the property with a few exceptions. The washer was not working properly. The agitator was broken, it needs new agitator dogs part # 80040. It also had a very moldy smell to it. I found both filters for the hvac equipment 100% clogged, so I replaced them. The bathroom needs a new shower curtain and bar. Other than that it was quite nice.

Well located, clean, and well appointed

Overall, we enjoyed our stay. The unit was well located, clean, and well-appointed. We had everything we needed and we were just a short walk to the beach. We'd stay there again, but not more than 3 nights. Our only complaint was the bedroom was too small for the kingsized bed with a footboard and dresser in the way. We stubbed a few toes and banged our knees a few times. I recommend moving the small dresser into the closet and/or losing the footboard. The full bath was a too small, as well. it was hard to turn around and close the door without bumping into the toilet or raming your shoulder into the towell bar. I recommend moving the towel bar to the wall above the toilet to provide more shoulder room. I ran into that towel bar a few times in the middle of the night.

No AC - Poor Service

The condo was tastefully decorated and well stocked. We realized immediately upon arrival the air conditioning was not working and contacted Vacasa. No response the entire first day after being told the problem would be resolved quickly. We went to the Vacasa office the next morning to see when issue would be resolved. We were told within the hour. No one showed up until that evening after multiple calls. The HVAC couldn’t be fixed until the 3rd day after inspection. It was very hot/humid and we didn’t want to stay another sleepless night. After contacting Vacasa again late that evening, they offered to move us to another rental that was in far worse condition than where we paid to stay. It smelled bad, the ceiling leaked and it was not somewhere we would have chosen to stay. Vacasa wouldn’t consider any amount of refund despite the poor experience & service. We won’t be using Vacasa again.

Filthy unit, terrible communication

The bathroom is tiny. It's impossible to get out of the shower and around the door without touching the toilet, and the toilet itself was grimy and hadn't been cleaned well in a long time. The shower was extremely outdated, tiny, the rod and rings were rusty, and the shower liner had uncleaned stains. The bed was comfortable, but the pillows are as flat as pancakes. The comforter had blood stains on it. The extra pillows have yellow and blood stains all over them. The washing machine has a lot of grime inside and needs a thorough cleaning. There's a musty smell coming from around the washer and dryer. The kitchen has beautiful granite, but inside the cabinets are dirty, including many dishes. The refrigerator had stains from a prior tenant. The cabinets had pest service records still taped inside from 2017, if that tells you how long it's been since it was cleaned well. It has been attempted to have been upgraded, but done poorly. The faceplates were changed out but they failed to change the switches and receptables. The granite in the kitchen was really nice, but it didn't make up for the general filth of the place. All the baseboards needed a good cleaning, especially around the nightstands and headboard. We reached out several times with questions during our stay and did not get a response. The pool was nice, and the ocean was nice. The unit itself was extremely disappointing and dirty. Combined with terrible communication, we definitely will NOT be returning.

Perfect place for a perfect Hilton Head stay!

I loved this unit so much, I really didn't want to leave. It's in a great location, is clean and quiet, close to the beach, fully stocked kitchen, and had everything I needed for a comfortable week's stay. I loved my time there and would definitely return to this unit! Thank you to the unit Owner and to the Vacasa team!

This unit is in a quiet area. It is clean and has all that you need. I was worried about the reviews of the small bedroom. While it isn't a grand master bedroom we felt it was big enough. The bed was comfy which is always a win.

Great long weekend in Hilton Head

This condo was well-suited to our family of four for a long weekend at the beach and on the golf course. The proximity to both and to the community pool & tennis courts was ideal. The unit is comfortable, with enough space for everyone and the golf gear! There was even living room space and chairs when the pull-out sofa was in use. Washer and dryer were bonus. The bathrooms and kitchen look to have been recently updated.

Great Stay!

We had a wonderful stay! This was our first time staying at The Shipyard, and it was great! With two little ones, residing close to the beach is a necessity. The property manager went above and beyond to help us locate a forgotten item. We will definitely stay at this location in the future!
