The Space:

Please be aware this is a strict "no pet" home! The family who owns this beautiful cabin and loves to stay occasionally, has SEVERE allergies to pet fur/dander. Although we love furry pets, we want to make this a wonderful home for all, family and visitors alike - so please NO PETS!



If you have a trained service dog or "support dog" you MUST bring, hopefully it would only be hypoallergenic, but either way- please make every attempt to rid this house of any sign of an animal. The home will need extra cleaning so that we will not experience an allergic reaction! We love to share our beautiful cabin in the woods and want to make this a great experience for all equally!



Plan your next boating or fishing getaway at this beautiful, riverfront cabin in Lac du Flambeau. Set on a quiet river that serves very few homes, this peaceful retreat features a gorgeous, open interior with knotty pine walls and ceilings, rustic, handcrafted furnishings, and plenty of desirable amenities to ensure the utmost comfort for you and your guests. Whip up everyone's favorite recipes in the well-equipped, full kitchen complete with a breakfast bar for casual dining. Gather around the table for six for mealtimes or family game nights, or indulge in an al fresco experience with a view from the screened, three-season porch. Close out your evenings by warming up in the glow of your wood stove while you relax. Outdoors, borrow one of the provided kayaks and head out on the water from the 125-foot dock, return home and fire up the gas grill for summertime cookouts, and then meet up at the firepit to roast s'mores and watch the stars come out. THINGS TO KNOW Double sofa bed included. Full kitchen (no dishwasher). Two kayaks and accessories available upon request. A 4x4 or equivalent is recommended in winter. This property is managed by VueStay Vacations. *The public boat launch on Amber Lake is on West Amber Lake Road. From the boat launch, renters would proceed north along the western shore to Amber Creek which meanders approx. 3/4's of a mile to the property

This is a great getaway home. It's great for a family with multiple sleeping options, games and so on, but I just went with my partner and it was perfect for us too. Cleanliness was spot on, tableware, plates and glasses were plentiful. The kitchen was as well-supplied as my kitchen at home. The property is beautiful and quiet on a private road with a few other homes on it. The dock on the river has kayaks available. We were so comfortable and happy here it was hard to leave and go back to work at home!

The process to gain entry into the house was not clear and we found the instructions difficult to follow. When we tried to get help from Vrbo and the host that process was also very difficult. We were told online that someone from the “local team” would be sent to help us get in. That never happened so we finally called the local police who sent someone to help us and the officer who arrived was able to figure out the process to gain entry into the house. Once we were in everything that followed was fine.

We're sorry that getting into the house was such a struggle and that reaching help through Vrbo and our team proved so difficult when you needed it most. Being told someone from the local team was on the way and then having to rely on a police officer to sort out entry is not the arrival we want anyone to have, and it falls short of the standard we hold. We've shared this with our local team to look into how the check-in instructions and the support that follows can be clearer and more reliable. Great cabin!

We loved our stay at the cabin. Great location for relaxation or fun on the water. Cabin was stocked with everything we needed. Loved sitting on the dock on the glider rockers I’m the evening. Three season room was a favorite spot to sit.

Great cabin up north!

This cabin was great for our weekend getaway to the Minocqua area. Very clean and the Vacasa team did a great job of communicating through the process.

Perfect Mother Daughter Long Weekend

Wonderful property- cozy with an amazing screened in porch. Cabin is well furnished and very clean. The kayaks were perfect for exploring the river and Amber Lake. Highly recommend!

Great cabin!

This cabin had everything we were looking for. The 3-season room was a great place to sit and enjoy the sounds of the woods without having to worry about the bugs. It was quiet and relaxing, just what we were looking for. Cabin was well stocked with everything we needed. The outdoor glider chairs on the pier were a nice place to sit in the evening and listen to the birds and bullfrogs. We would stay here again!

We had a short but lovely stay at this beautiful cabin on Amber Creek. The owners put alot of love, care and attention to detail into this place. It had everything we needed. We loved all the windows and views from them. We loved kayaking on the creek. It's quiet and peaceful and the location is great. Thank you!

Lovely getaway

The house was very clean and comfortable. Very peaceful location. The newer pier was a nice surprise compared to the photo. The water level seemed very low, but was still very relaxing to just sit on the pier. The porch was absolutely amazing and was our favorite hangout spot. Highly recommend the property.

Charming, Cozy Cottage

Really enjoyed staying at this cabin right outside the downtown Minocqua area. It was very clean, with amenities to make the stay comfortable. You’re not far from the downtown area, with a gas station, a Walmart, Triggs, and a few restaurants right up the road. We loved the wood burning fireplace, which was perfect as it started to snow! Beautiful view of the lake, only wish it was a tad warmer to be able to use the kayaks available. Everything was well marked with clear directions for check in. Would definitely recommend this place for a getaway.

Secluded and quiet

Great property. Trees surround it with lots of privacy. Walk to dock is maybe 75 yards with some small short slopes. Overall pretty accessible. The newer rear porch is greaat. Inside had everything you could need. The property management company throughout the booking process had horrible communication. If I was the owner I'd be looking into other options.

Large cabin, very clean and well stocked. Secluded location and privacy was just what we were looking for. Loved the screened in porch, fire pit, decor, and comfort of the property. We requested the kayaks and some of us enjoyed a quiet ride down the creek. Bathtub faucet dripped persistently and the cabin loft area was stuffy. We thought the listing stated there was air conditioning- at least on the VRBO listing it was included. There was some kind of older air conditioning unit upstairs that my daughter figured out by the third night. The Nest seems to indicate that it only runs the heat. But these were minor issues and overall, we were very pleased and thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
