The house was clean, spacious, safe, and convenient. The game room was great for kids (basketball, air hockey, video games). The kitchen had a coffee maker with supplies, and the working washer/dryer included detergent. Bathrooms had toiletries and a hair dryer.The house felt utilitarian, with identical metal bed frames and no headboards. Amenities were lacking: towels were worn/mismatched, only two washcloths for nine guests (some laundry was left in the dryer), there were no towel hooks, and no hand soap in the kitchen or some bathrooms. The kitchen sponge was heavily used with no extras, the coffee pot had a brown film. Instructions for check-in/out, appliances, and TVs were sparse. The hot tub wasn't ready on arrival; a caretaker fixed it while we were out, but we never used it because it heated too slowly and lacked instructions. The host asked to do driveway maintenance at 7am on our last day. The basement felt unsettling – the only thing aside from the washer/dryer was a made toddler bed in the middle of a rug. We reported an upstairs/downstairs leak to the host.Accessibility notes: The downstairs is split-level with a few steps. There is one full bath downstairs with a step-in shower; a bathtub is up a short flight of stairs. Some bathroom doorways are narrow. If you need to alter dates, it is best to fully cancel and re-book rather than altering the reservation through the host. Expect a no-frills place with plenty of room in a safe neighborhood.
