A large family house facing the woods, with no neighbours overlooking - Biarritz and the ocean 15 minutes away.

From the terrace the view opens onto the forest, and an old oak holds the garden: that's where we set the table when it gets hot. The house sits well away from the neighbouring homes, with nothing overlooking the garden or the pool. Bassussarry is a quiet village above Biarritz - far enough to hear the birds in the morning, close enough to be on the beach at Cote des Basques before ten.

THE HOUSE
170 sqm on 1,000 sqm of grounds, room for 12:
- 5 bedrooms
- 2 extra beds (sofa bed in the downstairs living room, mezzanine upstairs)
- 2 bathrooms
- 2 living rooms, one with a wood stove
- 2 fully equipped kitchens, with plenty of crockery for a full house
- Fast Wi-Fi - worth knowing, because mobile coverage is patchy up here
- Parking for 4 cars

OUTSIDE
- Private pool with a rigid safety cover (NF P90-308), no extra charge, available throughout your stay
- 1,000 sqm garden with woodland views and an old oak
- Covered terrace with an electric awning, and a gas plancha - that's how we do barbecue here: fish, peppers, steak, without the smoke
- Makila golf course 2 minutes away

EVERYTHING IS PROVIDED
- Bed linen (7 sets)
- Bath towels, plus separate towels for the pool
- End-of-stay cleaning, paid at booking
- Please bring your own beach towels - it's the only thing we don't provide

A WORD ON SPACE
Twelve beds, two bathrooms. It is comfortable for up to ten, and perfectly workable at twelve if you know each other well. We would rather say so upfront.

WHAT WE DON'T HAVE
No washing machine, no air conditioning. The garage stays locked (personal belongings).

AROUND
Anglet and Cote des Basques beaches 15 minutes, Bayonne 10, Saint-Jean-de-Luz 25, the Spanish border 45. Village shop, bakery and pharmacy in Bassussarry. Arcangues, one of the prettiest villages in the region, is 5 minutes away.

US
We are Baptiste and Lea. This is our family house. We open it a few weeks a year, and we welcome guests in person on arrival - check-in and check-out are done together, with everything explained.
