Heeg is a place where you can feel the water calling. You can step straight into a sailboat, sloop, SUP-board or kayak from your houseboat and explore the endless Frisian lakes and canals. Don't feel like sailing? Just take a refreshing dip from your terrace or chill on the beach around the corner.

There is plenty to discover here on dry land, too. Hop on a bike or put on your walking shoes and get lost in the vast landscape full of meadows, dykes and small villages. Sneek, Workum, Stavoren, and Sloten are practically around the corner, brimming with history, charm and photogenic spots.
