Everything was amazing and Tanya went above and beyond to communicate and help us with our stay. Our big family lake weekend was a huge success because of this place! Would love to comeback again

We had a wonderful time with our kids and grandkids. Grandkids loved the fishing and the trampoline, kept them busy. Perfect spot when we rented a pontoon for a few days we loved the area for tubing and swimming. Our family said best vacation spot. Thank you

Tanya was an amazing host. Communication was excellent. Gave a ton of recommendations in the area, accommodation of checking in early and getting our boat rental a day early and her property (Dragonfly) is absolutely stunning. It literally has everything you could wish for and more! Will definitely be back!!

Communication with the host was fantastic. The host made sure we had everything we needed and provided wonderful tips on things in the area. Checkin was seamless. The house was clean, with very cute decor all throughout. Its perfectly located on the lake with the boat traffic being much lighter than the big part of the lake. We brought our own boat and the community ramp was easy to access and use. We enjoyed all the extras (sups, kayaks, bounce ring, ping pong, fire pit outside, bluetooth speakers on the dock). We are home cooks and the kitchen is well stocked with cookware (pots, pans, griddle) and the grill was in great shape. Beds are confmy too. We had teenagers and adults in our group, but if you have little ones, there are a ton of extras for them (high chair, plastic cups and plates, toys). Great house, great location, great vacation!

We cannot recommend this property enough. The amenities were as promised, the lake was incredibly beautiful and peaceful, and the house was stocked with everything you could wish for. We have stayed in many places, and this was by far the cleanest and the hosts were the most responsive and helpful.

Our 2nd time staying here for a long Labor Day weekend. Everyone had a great time! The water trampoline is a huge hit for all ages. Water Depth at boathouse is great for swimming.

The Dragonfly provided an unforgettable vacation for our family! We thoroughly enjoyed all of the opportunities on the water! The trampoline provided unending fun for our four grandchildren. The lilliepad was a great in-between for the toddler and adults! Relaxing and floating in the water was a favorite pastime for many of us. The SUP’s were truly a delight! What fun! And the kayaks provided many opportunities to explore the waters around the boathouse. The grandchildren caught several fish from the dock area! Everyone truly enjoyed themselves! The hosts were so helpful and available in needed! I can’t say enough good things about the well-appointed kitchen! My crew cooks most of the meals as opposed to eating out and we were always able to find what we needed, which is highly unusual. We even baked a cake! The grandchildren totally loved the foosball table and their own space downstairs away from the. adults! We will definitely return! We never got a chance to enjoy the hot tub, but the decks were wonderful in the mornings where we sat and enjoyed our coffee! Thank you for sharing your home with us!

I’m especially glad you made good use of the kitchen, we probably took five years to stock that, thinking of one more thing to add every time we were there ourselves! It’s funny that you were too busy enjoying all of the other things to get a dip in the hot tub, but I agree with you on the lovely mornings on the deck! We have been intentional with making sure there are so many fun ways to spend your time even if you never leave the house, and we’re so glad you were able to enjoy it! Great Lake House for a family reunion

The house is perfect for an Intergenerational family vacation. The trampoline is amazing, and makes the lake extra special. Lots of different areas in the house for everyone to spread out. Having things for the baby made traveling easier for the parents.

Great for multi generational stay

We had a family vacation with grandparents to infants, and there was something for everyone. We loved the water trampoline and the kayaks. We had little nooks for the introverts, and the lower level playroom was wonderful.

Weekend Trip

We had a great time at the property. The owners reached out to ask questions about our large group and better understand if their property would fit out needs. We really enjoyed this touch and when we got the the property it was exactly what we needed! Great stay!

Great family vacation! We enjoyed the lake and all the lake toys (kayaks, SUP's, water trampoline.) The grandkids caught fish off the dock, enjoyed the inside toys, and loved the hot tub! The house was fully stocked with everything! Good communication with owner. They reached out several times during our stay!

Lake Gaston, Virginia 2023 Family Vacation

Dragonfly was perfect for our family vacation! The house is immaculate. The lake, dock, dock house, and all the water equipment - canoes, kayaks, etc., were enjoyed by all members of the family from the oldest (76) to the youngest (2). We loved it and everyone had a great time!

Something for everyone!

Our family had a great spring break at Dragonfly. It was nicely furnished with comfortable mattresses and lots of beds. Our kids enjoyed the hot tub, ping pong, foosball, basketball and games. We all kayaked and even swam in the cold lake. Great place for a big family.

We are honored to host, and we work hard every year to add new fun things and enhance the property so families have that special time together. Another great stay at DragonFly

Our annual guys weekend just wrapped up a few weeks ago and our second stay at Dragon Fly was great. House is super clean, lots and lots of amenities for families and kids. Owners are amazing - easy to reach communicate with and provide a lots of helpful information to make your stay enjoyable. They have made improvements to the house over the years (new dockside bar area and refinished bathrooms). We'll be back for sure.

Dragonfly Vacation

This was my first time booking a vacation thru VRBO. Tanya and Marty made the experience comfortable and easy. Our families absolutely loved the vacation! We caught enough fish from the dock that we didn’t need to fish on our boats. The kids loved the bouncer, kayaks, and paddle boards. This was an amazing trip and we thoroughly enjoyed all that The Deagonfly had to offer!

Amazing Family Vacation

Dragonfly was perfect for our family! We had a total 12 people (including 7 kids under 12). Both the kids and adults loved the kayaks, paddle boards and bouncer. The house is located in a great spot on the lake. We enjoyed fishing right from the pier and relaxing by the fire at night. Great place to make memories for our family. After 30 plus years of vacationing at the beach- we have been converted to lake life!

The property is nice. The owners were good at communicating and they were pleasant. I would have like to know all the info in the rental agreement at the time of purchase or before I purchased. Give potential renters the ability to see if the property rules and what is offered by the property is a good fit. Send renters the rental agreement before the refund deadline.

Perfect!

This rental provided our family of 9 with a PERFECT Labor Day long weekend getaway. Owners communicate promptly. House is very well equipped with all of the essentials as well as many added amenities. Highly recommend Dragonfly!

Ladies retreat

Over and above what we expected. So much room, so well stocked from kitchen to bedding. Privacy, beautiful, and fun. Loved the kayaks ! Beautiful home, beautiful property. So would choose this place again! Want to bring my family here too. Great spaces for privacy for each person and great common areas. Thank you!

Omg! We loved it! The pictures really don't do justice. The lake was EVERYTHING!

The house is beautiful. The weather was perfect. No life jackets so we didn't bother the kayaks, but the views are amazing. The cool breeze off of the water was perfect. So much to do. If it had rained, we wouldn't been just fine staying inside. We were beyond pleased.

While we tell guests that vests are available at Holly Grove Marina a mile away, we have also added adult size life vests for guests to use with the kayaks. Highly Recommend!

Dragonfly had everything we were hoping for and more! Excellent location, amenities, and accommodations. Water is deep at the dock so there was no lake muck to deal with. Trampoline kept the kids happy for hours. Shaded table on the dock deck was perfect for the older folks. Lots of seating everywhere and a basement perfect for all age kids. Excellent experience!
