Dragonfly is ideally located in beautiful Great Creek Landing, just 1 mile N of Rte 903 in Bracey, VA, on Lake Gaston & 1 mi from the local marina. We are 2 mi from the lovely award-winning winery & close to waterfront dining by boat or car. The water, location & amenities are ideal for families & gatherings!

Amenities enhanced annually! Interior & exterior upgrades include new decking on the dock, unlimited hot water (so important & a unique upgrade everyone loves), stylish but comfy furniture & interior decor! The deck & dock have covered, shady areas & sunny options for drying off or soaking up some rays. The deck gets ideal afternoon sun but is nicely shaded for morning coffee & dinners outside. By evening, the firepit is comfortably shaded for s'mores at the firepit! You will truly enjoy the way the sun moves across the property, & this house has one of the best laid out boathouses around, complete with bar area/mini fridge.

The water at our spot warms up faster in spring than main lake, & stays warmer longer in fall, extending our season. It is also lovely & calm here even when the main lake is choppy. However, we still have the benefits of wide water views, the convenience of a space right by the house for letting loose w/the boat & having fun tubing/water skiing. The main lake is just 3-5 min away. It's the best of both worlds!

There are 2 boat ramps less than a mile from the house, including a private gated community ramp free to our guests. We are very convenient to markets, gas & fun! 5 min to local markets/ABC, 15 min to two large grocery stores.

UPSTAIRS:
-Master Room 1 w/attached sitting room: Cal King. There is a privacy door between the master & the sitting room/vanity area, w/ twin bed. The vanity area has a 72" vanity w/sink, great counter space & a full size tub/shower plus a separate attached, private bathrm w/toilet, 2nd shower & 2nd sink. This area is considered a 2 room suite, ideal for families.
-Guest Room 2 : Queen
-Guest Bath: Separate full bath upstairs w/ tub/shower, & 6 ft long vanity w/lots of counter space.

MAIN FLOOR:
-Main Flr Guest Room 3: Twin over Full size bunk w/ Twin trundle. Stairs, not a ladder, go up to the bunk! This is a favorite hangout for kids but can easily accommodate a family.
-1/2 bath on the main floor.

FINISHED WALKOUT BASEMENT:
-Bsmt Master Guest Room 4 - King bed, standard East Coast King. -Full sized twin bed
-Oversized CordaRoy beanbag by the gaming TV opens to a queen memory foam bed
-Full bath, totally redone, w/ tub/shower just off the basement guest rm
-Use the finished area as a 5th bedrm (curtained for privacy), w/Cal King air mattress option upon request.

Additional Sleeping Options: The large, cozy finished basement functions as a 5th bedroom has a comfy twin bed, sectional sofa, & plenty of space for air beds or slumber party set-up for kids! The convertible queen beanbag bed is more comfortable than sleeper sofas (hate bars in your back!). Twin air mattresses offer flexible placement to best suit families. Also, the upstairs master & main floor living rm have comfortable sofas for overflow sleeping (single use, not sleeper sofas). The game rm sectional downstairs sleeps 2 children or 1 adult.

Ideal Location!:
Only 6 min from Rte 85, 1-2 miles from 2 convenience markets, 17 min from South Hill, VA and Littleton, NC, ea w/ large Food Lion grocery stores. There are restaurants & a lovely winery minutes from the house which have outdoor music concerts & other fun events & craft shows. Several close breweries have live music events and food trucks. Raleigh, NC and Richmond, VA (including King's Dominion amusement park & water park) are easy day trips. Nearby South Hill, VA has a small movie theater & a live outdoor music concert every 3rd Thursday of the month in summer. For a day trip, it's under 1.5 hrs to Raleigh, NC, or Richmond, VA, or check out local festivals & quaint shops. **Memorial Day/JULY 4TH HOLIDAY/Labor Day: Live outdoor concerts at the winery, including July 4th fireworks at both the winery (Saturday) & center of town.

Rent a boat, get ice cream or deli sandwiches at the marina 1 mile away. (Pontoon rental super conveniently available right at the house! please inquire ) Boat or drive to waterfront dining. Enjoy the large, quiet cove swimming right at the house w/a large area for tubing or water skiing just 1 house down at the cove's entrance. Only 5 minutes to the main lake for even bigger water if you wish to explore! Kayak or canoe up Great Creek & enjoy the scenery. Have fun trying your skills at fishing off the dock!

Groups w/Small Children:
We have a pack-n-play, highchair & child stepstools at the house for your use. The kitchen has a sizable set of BPA-free dishwasher safe plates, cups and kid utensils. The full size twin bed in the upstairs sitting room has optional bed rails that are very easy to add/remove. If you need to contain small roamers, it is simple to section off an area on the main floor to keep little ones away from stairs & create a level space that includes the powder rm, kitchen, living rm and dining rm. We have hotel locks & slider doorstops to prevent little ones from exiting unnoticed-safety first!
