Cozy Taos Ski Valley Family Cabin

Large cozy ski cabin. Sleeps up to 8 people and has large private parking lot. Just one mile from the base area with easy access from the main road. Natural river rock wood fireplace with plenty of firewood included. The cabin is decorated with numerous antique skis, ski boots, and snowboards.

Master bedroom has queen size log bed that was built in Taos. Guest bedroom #1 has full size trundle bed with twin size slide out bed. Guest bedroom #2 has bunk bed with twin on top and bottom. Living room has leather queen size sofa sleeper and love seat. Cabin includes wi-fi internet connection and computer that guests can use. Kitchen is fully stocked with new kitchenware. Kitchen has refrigerator, oven/stove (new in Dec 2019), crock pot, microwave, coffee pot/grinder, and toaster oven. Entry way has skier work bench and plenty of room for skis, snowboards, and wet boots. Cabin has dryer for drying wet ski clothes. Front porch has ski chairs and BBQ.

Property is nearly an acre in size and has a mountain stream running through one side of the lot.

Note that our "standard rate" is actually our Winter Break/Presidents Day/Spring Break rate because these are the times we normally rent it while we enjoy it for ourselves the rest of the time.

NO PETS AND NO SMOKING PLEASE.

Cozy Taos Cabin

Thoroughly enjoyed our time at this spacious, cozy cabin. Very easy drive to the slopes and a perfect size for our family. The cabin was very clean and well outfitted for our needs. Thank you for our stay, we would certainly like to return.

Rustic but charming

We had a great trip. Kids liked it, parents liked it, host was great! Good instructions to manage any quirks, and proximity to the mountain was pretty special in a way you can’t appreciate until you ski there. Very few properties located so conveniently in the Valley..

Amazing quaint cabin

The entire family had a great stay. So easy to get to the ski valley. Such a quaint cabin perfect for our stay. Owners were so sweet. They had a welcome package of snacks and wine as well as the fire place stacked to start a fire. Family already says they want to go back next year. It was fantastic all around. Emailed directions were spot on. Highly recommend this place.

Great find in Taos Ski Valley

Cozy accommodation extremely close to mountain. Was so quick and easy to drop off and pickup the skiers in the party. House was comfortably finished with care. Loved the fireplace and hanging out in the living room. We pulled 2 high chairs around in the kitchen to make a table for the adults. Super communication prior and throughout the stay. Thank you Neal and family for sharing your 2nd home !

good cabin for January ski trip

not fancy but has everything you need. cozy as advertised. bedrooms are on the small side. plenty of good dry firewood. location is great, just a few minutes to Taos Ski Valley. smart tv but no cable or satellite channels. we were able to connect a PC to the smart tv to stream New Year's bowl games, but streaming was glitchy at times. owners left nice welcome box of goodies. texted some questions to owner and he was very responsive.

Ski holiday in Taos

Nice property. Very cute decor. Very close to Taos ski valley. Only downside is very narrow spiral staircase to upstairs so can be difficult to bring luggage up, so left some downstairs. There was a bathroom downstairs which was nice.

Spring break

The cabin was very nice and close to the valley. We did have an issue with the well that caused us to be without water for a while, but the owner was on top of getting it fixed quickly.

Ski Cabin

This was our first time In Taos and this cabin was perfect for our family. Other than then we left to ski, we stayed on the premises. The kids spent all of their time playing outside and playing games inside. The kitchen was fully stocked and the fireplace was easy to use. The owner was very helpful and gave us lots of great information about the area.

Beautiful Getaway

We had a wonderful time at the Cabin in the Woods. The owners were fantastic and very helpful with information especially with COVID restrictions and closures. The Cabin was in a great spot, close to Ski Valley. It was clean and well cared for, it was a great place to ring in the new year! Thank you Neal and family for sharing your home with us! Highly recommend!

Vacation during Spring Break 2020

We were faced with the prospects of no vacation, but decided to maintain our plans. Glad we did! Despite the mountain closing upon our arrival and nearby mountains closing a day later, we found an awesome cabin equipped with everything we needed. The sleds came in real handy for the four kids! Neal was very accommodating and made us comfortable with the option of canceling at any point due to the circumstances. The logistics are perfect. Anyone who stays here will find it a short distance from the village. Nicely set up mud room for getting in and out of gear without tracking snow ice and dirt into the house. Stocked with wood for the fireplace, a nice welcoming basket full of goodies, nicely set up entertainment system with movies, Netflix etc... and a large accommodating kitchen. Together with the well appointed bedrooms, a very comfortable visit. Thanks again Neal!

Great location!

We had 4 adults and two young children stay here for 5 days, and it was plenty of room. The property was great for the kids, able to play in the snow outside. The location to Ski Village was great and less than 5 min to ski school parking. We did not have 4 wheel drive and it did snow some, but driving was still good. We would definitely stay here again if we head back to Taos.

Family Ski Trip

We had a family party of 6 stay at the Cabin in the Woods for a ski outing to Taos and we had a fantastic time. The cabin was great, but 6 is probably the max you would want. The cabin is cozy and in a great location to Taos Ski Valley. Owner was very helpful with instructions and other information to make our stay great.

This place is perfect!

My wife and I were just married and spent our honeymoon at this rental. It was perfect and had everything we needed and was private and quiet. You cant get much closer to world-class skiing, which was a nice bonus. The owners are great and made sure everything was perfect for us, and we very much appreciate this experience. We highly recommend this cozy rental, especially for families. Thanks so much!

Awesome experience

We had our family vacation in Taos and of course you always hope that all the planning that is involved follows with a great experience. It was all that and then some. The property is perfect for a family of 6-8 and provides all the essentials for a great ski vacation. The ski resort is a very short distance and Taos personnel are very friendly and helpful when arriving and departing each day. It snowed 18” the first day so a 4 wheel drive was necessary to get up the driveway to the cabin but it was cleared the next day. The property owner was easy to contact and returned emails and text immediately and very very helpful! We will be going back!!! Thanks for a great stay!

Had a great time here, plenty of room, very cozy, had all necessary amenities covered, fireplace is really nice after a long day of skiing, couldn't get much closer to the slopes, thanks for a great weekend, we had a blast! Cozy and Convenient!

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at your cabin! It was comfortable for our family with all the space to relax and unwind from a full day of skiing! We appreciated the kitchen and how you all have it stocked for guest usage, along with the spots for everyone's boots to sit out of the way for overnight drying. My teenagers loved the WiFi access and even complemented the speed of downloading. When you said it was 5 minutes from Taos Ski Valley, you really meant it! We didn't even have time for the car to warm up before we were parking at Taos Ski Valley! Thank you for allowing us to stay in your cabin and we hope to come back next year!

Cozy Cabin

This place is less than 5 minutes to the ski resort. We had 7 people in our party but the place could probably sleep up to 11 with couch. It has all the amenities one can think of. It was super cozy with wonderful fireplace (fire wood fully stocked). Great central living area for the guest to relax at the end of the day. I would recommend this place.
