Arrival Check in time is 2:30 to 3:00 pm, Departure Check out time is 8:30 to 9:00 am, if a later arrival is needed please advise us in advance.

We provide standard sleeping for up to 4 persons, a 32 ft private dock, campfire wood. Charcoal grill and fish cleaning station with running water. Watercraft rentals include one 15 ft Old Town canoe, two 12 ft Sundolphin kayaks, one 10 ft Sundolphin kayak, new for 2025 one Paddle King paddle boat, four life jackets and safety cushions,

We loved it here. It was very quit and the lake is beautiful. Bev and Dan were great to work with and the cabin had everything we needed. I would definitely suggest staying here.

Great Location

Chippewa Flowage has lovely scenery and good fishing. The cabin was immaculate and a great location. As a FYI this area has bad cell phone coverage and no internet in cabin. A prefect place to unplug. We enjoyed our stay and look forward to coming back.

Perfect!

Pristine cabin on a great lakefront setting. Bev and Dan thought of everything to make the stay comfortable. The owners in the surrounding homes couldn't have been nicer and helpful when we had an issue with our car. The whole setting made us feel safe and protected. We would definitely stay here again!

Awesome cabin on Chief Lake

Dan and Bev have thought of everything in offering their beautiful cabin on Chief Lake. Cabin was very well appointed with everything needed for a magnificent stay on the Flowage. They were awesome to work with and very organized and complete during booking and check-in. Highly recommend!!

Highly recommended!

Clean, well-kept and stocked cabin with beautiful lake frontage. The amenities are there as described and we took advantage of most of them: dock, fire pit, charcoal grill, fish-cleaning station and the kayaks. Bev and Dan were wonderful to work with and we were glad to meet them on our arrival day.

Perfect lakefront cabin with a view

Gorgeous wilderness drive to the cabin, met our friendly host , went over everything clearly we needed to know,awesome screen room with lake view,newly renovated rustic up north decor,a/c, own pier , fire pit ,grille , lakeside resorts with great fish fry and gas for boat nearby , as well as huge beautiful lake to fish , swim and or just explore an wildlife to enjoy!!

Cozy cabin with a beautiful view!

Our family had a great week at Bev and Dans cabin. They really have thought out every detail of vacation life. Their property is so welcoming and the hummingbirds and squirrels will keep you entertained. Lots of fish to catch right from the dock. We loved the size of the flowage and it offers much to do and see all around you. Great places to eat on the lake and beautiful scenery all of the time! Thank you for sharing your beautiful cabin with us, we look forward to coming to visit again :)

Be and Dan are amazing and there cottage is perfect. Amazing location on Chief Lake with a wonderful shoreline to relax.

Great stay

From being met by the owners upon arrival through the end of the stay everything was as good or better than expected. The location was also excellent with a protected shoreline so didn't worry too much about my boat and easy access to good fishing. The built in bumpers on the dock were helpful too. The A/C worked great which was a big plus with a week where every day was in the 90's. Overall, a great week!

Immaculately clean

This property was very well taken care of and had a great view of the lake. We had a great week just relaxing, grilling and fishing. Kayaks and a canoe were also available to use.

Chief Lake cabin

This was one of the best Rental experiences we have ever had, VRBO or any other. Bev and Dan are amazing, the cabin is cute, super clean, and perfectly located. We will definitely put this on the “must stay again” list

Excellent cabin.

Despite the weather not cooperating we had a wonderful time in Dan & Beverly's cabin on Chief Lake. They have done so many nice upgrades and obviously care about your experience while there. They went above an beyond our expectations in so many ways and were perfect hosts. The cabin was absolutely perfect and very well stocked. We had a chance to use the crock pot, waffle maker, small indoor grilling machine for steaks & to make smores around the camp fire. Dan & Beverly were so helpful and kept us up to date through the entire process. Thank you so much for allowing our family to enjoy your cabin.

5 Star Cabin

The cabin is very nicely maintained. The floor plan layout is perfect! Kitchen, dining, sitting room, porch and 2 bedrooms. The glass door shower is super. No need for a bath tube. Fantastic view of Chief Lake from the porch and sitting room. It's beautiful. The landscaping is delightful. Just like a resort might have only the spacious grounds of the cabin are better. For a boat, the dock is good. Easy access and spacious. Bev & Dan are excellent hosts. They met us upon our arrival and walked us through all features of the lakeside cabin.

Perfect paradise

My family and I had such a wonderful time on Chief lake. The cabin was extra clean and new. We appreciated a fully stocked kitchen to cook in, updated bathroom, and the perfect screened in porch. Bev and Dan are the nicest owners and although not close by, they were quick to respond to us when we needed them. My children spent all day jumping off the dock. We took our boat to other area's of the flowage and it was so beautiful that we thought we were in Canada!

Nice cabin. Very clean which we appreciated.

It is a nice clean cabin. Very quiet and pleasant. Easy walk to the lake. Dock was stable-good for older people. It was well furnished with everything you need. Good fishing from the dock.

Great cabin in a perfect setting!

This cabin is true to the photos and very clean and perfect for a small family or couples. The owners are extremely helpful and great to book with. They give you lots of recommendations on local places and have great relationships with the neighbors, whom are also extremely nice and a pleasure to speak with. My wife and I had a blast staying here and the location is second to none. And if you're into fishing you don't need to go further than just out in the bay or right off the dock to catch fish you can eat. Overall a great time and would recommend to anyone looking to stay in the Hayward area.

Great cabin on a beautiful part of chief lake.

We loved our trip up to the Chip. 3 stayed, 2 adults and 1 10 yr old child and we all felt we had plenty of room. Great kitchen with all utensils and cooking pots and pans needed. Used the grill almost every night and it was perfect. Great dock for our boat and having power at the dock was excellent. Especially loved a cup of coffee in the morning on the 3 season porch with great views of the water. We loved our stay and will be back for sure!

GREAT AND RELAXING

The cabin was great and very clean. Everything was as stated in listing. Dan and Beverly were there to meet us and show us around. We had a great stay and plan to go back. Thank you for a pleasant stay.

Great wildlife; loons, blue heron, kingfisher, bald eagles, owls, pileated woodpeckers, small song birds, black & grey squirrels, chipmunks, otters, beavers, muskrat, black bears, deer, porcupine, fox & coyotes. It has been said wolves and cougar are also in the area, haven't seen one yet. And, there are elk herds not too far away near Moose Lake and Clam Lake areas. We are clean and continuously making improvements and upgrades to the cabin modernizing it while keeping it's classic cabin esthetics and our neighbors are great and welcoming to our guests.
