Thank you for taking a look at our VRBO Surfside #313 property.

Luxury and comfort best describe this immaculate oceanfront Kihei Surfside unit, a wonderful and very popular 1-bedroom, one & one-half ( 1.5) bath unit on the third floor of the Surfside. The centerpiece of the unit is a gourmet kitchen with top-of-the-line stainless-steel appliances, gorgeous granite countertops, and stunning eco-friendly bamboo cabinetry with full Euro self-closing guides. The latest and greatest Grohe faucets offer filtered water in the sink and refrigerator with icemaker.

The condo can accommodate up to three (3) people.

The Surfside property is a “Smoke-Free” property.

NOTE RE: Air Conditioning ("A/C") There is NO "A/C". However, we use updated and efficient Ceiling fans in the main living room and bedroom, plus two (2) portable fans too.

In addition to the unobstructed ocean view, the living area has a Samsung 55-inch wall mounted Internet Wi-Fi Smart TV with HD Cable Box, Sound Bar, & Blue Ray DVD & CD player above a floating bamboo shelf. Both wireless (Wi-Fi) and cable high speed Internet, and free long-distance phone calls to the U.S. and Canada are provided. The living area has a contemporary sofa complete with a recliner chair. Interior dining with 3 chairs.

The master bedroom boasts a California King bed with high-quality linens for a luxurious night's rest. Both bathrooms are updated, and the hall bath has a Hand-blown Glass vessel sink from Russia! Master bathroom has new custom walk-in shower.

There are no laundry machines inside the condo, instead there is a common area laundry room on the ground lever open daily. Laundry room has updated washer & dryers accepting credit cards as well as a coin machine available.

The glass lined lanai (balcony) offers you the opportunity to relax and enjoy amazing ocean views just beyond the beautifully manicured Kihei Surfside lawn. Sunsets are a special time when most guests gather near the Surfside barbecues each evening and listen to the conch shells sing as the sun sets. You can enjoy a meal at the picnic tables near the barbecues, and there's an newly remodeled gorgeous oceanfront pool and putting green for your enjoyment.

What's more, you are just steps away from Keawakapu Beach, a popular white sand beach stretching all the way to Wailea! Keawakapu Beach, right next door to Surfside is just a 3-minute walk and you're on one of Wailea’s finest white sand beaches.

Maui Roosters? Recently a guest suggested I post information about the Maui Rooster population, that may or may not effect some "light sleepers" at the Surfside. This is an ongoing situation with Maui County and some guest report the early morning noise of Roosters "crowing" may interrupt their early morning sleep. If you might also be a "light sleeper", we suggest you bring a set of earplugs to offset this early morning noise.

The condo is in a great location with a great view, is very clean and well equipped! The owner is super kind and helpful. While there is not air conditioning, the fans kept us cool.

So relaxing!

I had such a nice relaxing week in Maui. Great views. Friendly people staying in building as well helping staff on site. The condo was very well stocked with everything I needed and more. Check in/check out was so easy and convenient. Michael was so quick to respond to any communication. The only thing I’d caution people about is not having AC. This is my 5th trip to a Hawaiian island … first time with no AC (I’m a female in my late 30s 125lbs 5’1”) I didn’t sleep well it was too hot and humid for ME. There just wasn’t enough air flow even with the bedroom windows open, slider open and all the fans running. No fault of anyone but had I read a review like mine … I’d have opted for AC. I would however stay in his condo again in a heartbeat if there was AC.

Condo conveniently located right next to a quiet beach with easy snorkeling and paddleboard access. Was great for two people. Nice kitchen in condo and the overall property was nice and fairly quiet.

Fantastic place

Michael has a beautiful unit. This is our third visit to Surfside. Hands down Michael’s unit was the nicest of the three units we have stayed in. It is apparent he takes pride in it. He was very accommodating and helpful and a genuinely nice person. The vibe at the Surfside is very friendly. The location is A+. We hope to visit again next winter. Slate & Eliza

Fantastic place to stay to enjoy paradise!

We had a great experience staying in Kihei Surfside #313. The unit is very nice. It has a big, spacious, kitchen/dining/living area with beautiful views of the ocean and the West Maui Mountains. The kitchen is very well stocked with dishes, pots, pans, etc- anything you might need. Not only do they have a good selection of wine and cocktail glasses, they have an extra set made of plastic so that they are allowed at the pool. The room has great ventilation so if you open the bedroom windows and the doors to the lanai you get a good cross-breeze going and it cools the room down nicely. The unit is in a fantastic location. It is set back from the pool and main walking area so you don’t have to deal with that noise, but still situated close enough to the shore and high enough that you get great views. The complex has a nice pool and bbq area, and access to beach chairs that you can set up on the edge of the property to enjoy the waves and island breezes. We relaxed and watched sea turtles, whales, and dolphins as we relaxed on the grassy knoll. The owner of this unit communicates well and was very responsive. On one of our first nights here we had an issue that required us to call the after-hours emergency number (locked out of the unit)… somebody showed up to help us in (no exaggeration) under five minutes. That’s how quick they responded to our call for assistance. Five minutes! The girl who came to help us was super friendly and helpful. The unit is located a short drive from restaurants and shops in both Walea and Kihei. Probably a five minute drive from anything you may need. We usually walked to Kihei or Walea which took us more like 40 min and was a nice walk, but if you don’t have the time or energy for a walk, the drive is very short. We highly recommend staying at this unit and we hope to be back soon ourselves.

Wonderful Maui (Kehei) Condo

Very well appointed one bedroom condo on third floor of a beachfront property. A lovely large lawn between the building and the water. Had a plumbing leak our last day and it was attended to immediately. The "no air conditioning" was not a problem...just open the slider and let the trade wind blow thru. It was a really nice two week stay.

Just what we were looking for!

We really enjoyed our stay in this unit. The location was great and we loved walking on the beach and seeing turtles! Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Appreciated the beach chairs, towels and umbrella. Kitchen had everything we needed to cook some meals.

Fantastic location and gorgeous view

We had an amazing first time in Maui! The condo location is excellent with a short walk to beaches and quick drive to several dining choices. The condo had everything we needed including beach chairs, umbrella, towels and snorkle fins. Our flight was moved back substantially and Michael the owner was kind enough to give us an additional night at no charge. He let us know before arrival a bathroom remodel and it was complete on our arrival with no issues at all. The view is stunning! Plenty of parking and daily we saw turtles either swimming around the rocks or near the boat launch on the beach to the right of the complex. It's very quiet and peaceful as well. We had planned this to be a bucket list trip and not return but we loved it so much and would 100% stay at this condo again! Mahalo.

My husband and I island hopped from O'ahu to Maui. We love O'ahu but sadly, our stay at another condo was extremely disappointing. When we arrived at this Kihei condo, we were overwhelmed by the view, the cleanliness and how well appointed the kitchen was! The Tradewinds and ceiling fans put my worries to rest about not having air conditioning. Another big plus was having two bathrooms, great WiFi and a pool. The grounds were immaculate; even the chickens and roosters were happy. There's a wonderful sandy beach next door too! My husband snorkeled in front and saw fish in the harbor next door. The visibility in the water wasn't as clear due to big swells. The bed was comfortable as was the sofa and recliner. We saw many beautiful sunsets and starry nights that will have lasting memories.

Somewhat disappointing.

We have stayed at this property a number of times and it has always been amazing. This time, there were a number of issues that, although resolved were disappointing. The toilet in the half bath kept running and at times did not flush. It took 3;repairmen visits to fix it. The picture in the wall behind the bed fell off the wall during the night- no one was injured but it was annoying. Overall the property looked tired and in need of updating.

Roosters crow all night!

I was aware that there is no a/c in the unit and wasn't worried as I enjoy my windows being open especially near the ocean. The problem being that there are roosters on the property that crow at all hours. I understand that there is not much that can be done about this but a heads up would have been appreciated so that myself being a light sleeper could have considered this in agreeing to rent here. This being the main expense of our vacation I would have likely made different arrangements. The unit itself was not as clean as advertised. it was very dusty and the bedding had a musty unusual smell. We opted to take the sheets off and wash them because of this. Not something that you want to do on day 2 of your vacation. When we needed additional garbage bags and washcloths because there was only one of each in the unit the on island contact was very accommodating. The location and view of the unit is perfect. I was very happy with that and it was just as described.

Nice location, disappointing accommodations

Building, location, neighbors, were all very good. The facility is located on a beautiful park like setting on the water - awesome! But our unit was not serviced or cleaned upon arrival. Guest toilet did not flush, Bed unmade, baths and sinks dirty. Cleaners took 90 min to arrive after we called. They stayed for 30min. They did NOT properly clean the floor, sinks, tubs or kitchen appliances. Called owner the next morning and he laughed and said “hang in there”. Cleaners came back but owner never followed up or checked in. I personally fixed toilet (flapper chain broke). I was ok with taking care of toilet but owner never acknowledged. We stayed in five different places averaging $500/night over a three week Hawaiian vacation. We expected this unit to be the best but it turned out to be the most disappointing.

Unit #313 is a streamlined and modern look in appearance; we have left a lot of the traditional “Hawaiian Island” look on the outside of the unit for your viewing enjoyment. Eco friendly Bamboo kitchen cabinets, all stainless steel appliances, low voltage kitchen lighting, plus lots of dimmer switches for your “Just Right” lighting needs. Both bathrooms have granite countertops and recessed lighting.
