Quiet, Country 'Home Away from Home' - Dingle, County Kerry

Just minutes from Centre of Dingle Town, this self-catering home has a wonderful view of the Glen. Located on the fabulously popular Dingle Peninsula, this home provides a pair of fireplaces for cozy nights and central oil heat.

Shop in Dingle or at one of the numerous shops or potters along the Slea Head drive. Visit ancient burial grounds or the Gallarus. This region of the West of Ireland has the ocean, golf, boat rides, festivities and music every night in most of the more than 100 pubs nearby. Or just sit at the picnic table on the patio and entertain or watch the Milky Way .

A local couple provide superior oversight of the property for your convenience. Linens are provided. One of the bedrooms includes a queen-sized bed for extra comfort.

Plenty of parking for two or three vehicles. The house is located about 2 1/2 hours from Shannon, 50 minutes from Tralee, and within an hour of the Ring of Kerry and Killarney.

The house also offers a baby's cot for young families. Appliances are new, and the lounge has a TV, VCR and DVD. The house has wifi.

The place was great! Only a couple minutes outside of town. So the peace and quiet was lovely with lovely views. Making the location great when you wanted a break from the tourists in Dingle. It was easy to go to places on the peninsula such as Tralee, and down to Dunquin pier. (Opposite ends and corners) The place was clean, comfortable, and well stocked (barring groceries) with everything you need to cook and live there for your stay. Only complaint was the musty smell. Not a big deal at all. It’s a thing with Irish homes near the sea with the amount of dampness in the air. It did not make an effect on the 5 star rating and we’d happily stay again!The place has a washer and dryer (all in one) which is tricky when using the dryer, but there are inside and outside clotheslines to dry everything.What can I say, the hosts are wonderful, Linda was great to speak with… you’ll do well staying here!

Cute, well maintained home close to the town of Dingle. It was plenty big enough for my family of 4. We appreciated having 2 bathrooms, a washer and kitchen. The fridge is a mini fridge so freezer space is small (so don't buy pints of Murphy's ice cream expecting to keep them in the freezer like we did!). The bathrooms had good hot water. The owner is very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our time and would stay again.

3 nights in Dingle

We had 3 people road-tripping around Ireland with 3 nights in Dingle. The home was fantastic. It was outside of town, but an easy drive in. Plenty of room for all of us, nice and quiet, and clean. We look forward to staying here again.

Magical and wonderful

What can I say. We had the most amazing time in Ireland. After Dublin we travelled to this great property. The instructions the owner, Bob, sent to us, were spot on. We found it easily. We also visited the supermarket he recommended and stocked up on some essentials. The kitchen was really well stocked with every utensil you could possibly need. Lovely lounge. Great bedrooms. A real home from home. Easy access to all the wonderful sites to visit. We had the most fantastic time and would not hesitate to recommend this house for your stay. Both the property manager Linda and the owners Bob and Mary were just fab and always on hand if we needed anything. Like an absolute idiot, I lost the front door key. Bob responded immediately and Linda arranged for her daughter to drop off a spare key. Excellent service and we could not be more happy

A wild weekend!

If you want to be slightly away from the noise and bustle of Dingle town, this is the place for you. It has everything you need for a comfortable stay, as we discovered having arrived after the first heavy snowfall in the area for years then, as if that wasn't enough, having to endure Storm Bert! Unbelievable! Bob (the owner) kindly phoned to advise on the best route to Shannon Airport in the snow where we were driving to collect our daughter. We were only here for three nights for a wedding but it was a fun weekend.

Im Urlaub zu Hause

Mein Sohn und ich waren Anfang März für eine Woche zu Gast in diesem Haus. Wir wurden im Vorfeld von Bob mit einer Anreisebeschreibung und dem Check-In-Vorgang bestens versorgt. Alles hat sehr gut funktioniert. Das Haus ist perfekt ausgestattet und wir haben uns sofort wie zu Hause gefühlt. Sollte das Wetter wirklich einmal so übel sein, dass man am liebsten einen Lesetag einlegt: Hier seid ihr richtig! Bob ist ein sehr guter Gastgeber und hat umgehend auf Rückfragen geantwortet und geholfen. Die Lage des Hauses ist optimal für Menschen, die die Halbinsel Dingle ohne lange Anreise erkunden wollen. Es war fantastisch! Vielen Dank Bob, dass wir deine Gäste sein dürften.

Truly a Home Away from Home

This wonderful place was neat and tidy and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Prior to arriving, our host included a detailed memo including directions to the cottage, food and drink recommendations and things to do in the area. The location is great - close enough to town to be there in 5-10 minutes, but far enough to really enjoy the countryside and quiet. We ran into a small issue with the heat, which our host was quick to reply to, resolving the problem in no time. He also gave us a number of other tips and suggestions for the further locations we would be visiting during our stay in Ireland. Wonderful hospitality, can't wait to return!

Many of our guests were extremely complementary of the location -- far enough of out town to be quiet, but close enough for a walk or minutes by car. They also enjoy the well equipped kitchen.
