Great place to stay

This house was great for our family (2 adults, 1 teenager, and 3 small children as well as one small dog) My kids loved all the toys and games that were available for them to play with. There are beach chairs, beach wagon, and beach toys that were an added bonus for us to use. The walk to the beach was not bad at all. Overall we really enjoyed our stay.

Hilton Head

Pretty clean had to sweep when we first got there. Downstairs bathroom shower door does not shut so water leaks out. Close to the beach and can walk everywhere!! Great location!! Six adults and a dog fit comfortably. Thank you.

Good location for a larger group

This is the second time staying at this property. It is a good location. The walk to the beach is short enough. Maybe 10 minutes. There was sufficient space for 4 adults and 6 small children. Allowing our small dog was an added plus. I can't comment on how the price compares to other locations, but we enjoyed our stay and would strongly consider staying here next year.

HHI getaway

Like others have posted, property is adequately surface clean but needs a deep clean. It is comfortable, very well furnished, and upstairs is really nice. Downstairs “master” bedroom shares small bathroom and the shower door will not stay closed. I didn’t find 6 minute walk to the beach, more like 10-15. Pool in complex is very close and very nice. Quiet area.

Ocean Breeze townhouse

We had no heat on the first floor but the property manager made it right for us with a space heater and a credit, was super cold though end of December at HHI in 2022, but we survived and thankfully it warmed up that week nicely. Condo was very well equipped in the tiny kitchen and had a ton of games that we played nightly! We liked finally having our dog with us at HHI too! Very comfortable condo with bathrooms for each bedroom, bedding could use a refresh and maybe some new mattresses...they were musty, but other that that, all was well!

Fine place for the money

If you are looking for a 5 star glamorous booking this is not the place for you. If you are looking for bang for the buck then you have come to the right place. We were unsure how many of our family could make it so we wanted a place for us as well as our kids if they could come. The layout is great and they have really used the room the best they could with a lot of add ons like beach chairs and anything you may have forgotten. The place deff could use an update especially the flooring which is half ceramic tile (some sound a little loose) and older Pergo type flooring that is seperating from itself. We noticed some bugs but it is Hilton Head and they tend to show up in that environment. All in all it was a fine stay and mostly what we expected.

3rd stay at this property

This is the third year staying at this property. The one issue we did have was with the dryer. There was water in the vent hose and the dryer struggled to dry clothes. We reported the problem and received 2 immediate responses but ultimately no one ever showed up to fix the issue. Not ideal, but we weren't staying there to dry clothes. That said, this property is a good value for the money, particularly for a larger family. It is a close walk to the beach. The kids enjoyed the pools. We were able to bring our small dog. It met our requirements. If you are looking for a white glove, luxurious experience, this will not be your place. But we enjoyed our stay and will probably return next year.

Good Location

Overall the place was fine... Needs some updates and some new beach equipment. The toaster barely works. The beach wagon is rusted through and the wheels are falling off. The place itself felt like it needs a good cleaning (especially with the air vents, ceiling fans, and cobwebs). There were a lot of games and toys for the kids, which was great! Felt cluttered and unorganzied throughout the home. When we pulled out the trundle bed it looked like old dirty bedding was on the mattress. When we went to look for a comforter for the bed, there was bedding and pillows in the closet that were just thrown into a pile. We couldnt tell what was washed. When we come back to HHI, it will not be here.

Great location, not super clean

Great location, spacious, and accurately portrayed on listing. It’s in an older complex that unfortunately is riddled with palmetto bugs (not the owner’s fault, but it comes with the territory). We killed 4 during our 5 day stay and one came home in my suitcase 😱 so if you are super afraid of roaches, I’d steer clear. Being a pet friendly unit, there were definite cleanliness issues with pet hair on sheets and bedding. The dryer takes about 3 hours to dry a fairly small load, so just be aware of that and don’t leave laundry to the last day! Bring your own pots/pans - they have them there but they are soooo beat up and scratched up I didn’t feel safe using them (scratched Teflon is a no-no in my book!). Overall for the price I wouldn’t stay here again.

Spring Stay

This condo is a great size for larger groups and especially for groups with children. It is well-stocked with everything needed for a week away at the beach (sand chair, umbrellas, fully stocked kitchen, sheets, towels). It is also a great place to bring your four-legged friends to hang with you for the week. The beaches are close enough and gorgeous. The only issues we had were trying to find the condo in the dark. We got in later than usual and this particular condo is in a dark corner where no street lights hit it so it was missed for a while. In fact, it was difficult to find the right area of the complex since the GPS directions bring you in on the opposite side, so expect to drive all the way through the complex to find the unit. Secondly, as others have stated, the unit really does need a deep clean. We mopped the floor ourselves to feel a bit more comfortable while we there. Overall, I recommend the unit, just be aware of those issues.

Great Location - Average Place

The best part of this property is the location. Our family rode bikes to the beach in under 5 minutes. We had planned to get a golf cart, but this property does not allow golf carts to be parked on the premises. Thankfully, the bikes were a great alternative. It's also great for getting on the main road quickly that takes you all over the island. And close to the trails for biking/running! We loved the several pools available to guests on the property. While not very large, they all had deep ends which the kids love jumping in, were all quiet, and never crowded. They were a great respite after a hot day at the beach as most of them were very shady. The kids' room in this house was perfect for us as it offered a double bunk with trundle and a pull out couch. It's crowded in there, but the kids didn't care and slept soundly the whole time. We were thankful for the extra fan in the closet. The house is loaded with towels, and we were grateful for those all week. It's also stocked with some great beach accessories/toys that came in handy for us. And one of the greatest amenities of the home itself is the hooks. There are tons of hooks everywhere for hanging up damp things, which really came in handy for us. Things we didn't love in a list: - home could have been cleaner (saw three bugs, maybe time for pest control?) - dryer is useless and would not heat enough to actually dry anything - kitchen is a one-butt kitchen, just not any room for 2 folks at a time Great location!

The condo is OK. One of the better qualities is the close access to the beach, it is just under a half mile on a shaded path. Also, the pool is just across the yard and around the corner, very close. The condo is very spacious and well appointed. Our traveling guests enjoyed the flat screen TVs in every bedroom. Unfortunately, there were a few issues. The bunk room shower/bath did not work. I notified the property manager and he was very responsive and professional, however, the shower remained inoperable for the remainder of the week. Some of the bedding and linens were dirty. We travel with our own linens and pillows, so we did not make a complaint. The carpeting is quite stained. I fully expected that, considering that it is a rental property. However, don't expect it to look like the pictures above. Finally, there is an issue with this condo that cannot be easily remedied. As is the case with many southern homes, the HVAC unit is in the attic. Cold air from the AC is directed throughout the house from the upstairs. The first floor master bedroom is on the first floor, at the furthest point from the attic unit. The master bedroom remained uncomfortably warm for the entire week, while other areas of the condo were icy cold. I tried to direct more cold air to the master by closing the vents in other areas of the condo, to no avail.

Kid friendly

The house was for a family with younger age children. Plenty of toys, games, videos and books. Surfaces seemed fairly clean, but it could use a deep clean. A map would be useful to find that 5 minute walk to the beach and how to find the pool.

The property was just as described in the listing. Our group included 4 adults and 5 children. The size and layout accommodated us perfectly. The location was excellent. We would absolutely stay here again.

Great location but...

The unit was dirty. I ended up sweeping, mopping and wiping and left it cleaner than when we arrived. Additionally it needs some maintenance to fix loose towel rack, light bulbs, door adjustments ( they don't close). Kitchen towels were lacking so maybe bring your own. On a positive note, the beds were comfortable with nice pillows, great location and nice towels. I sent an email about my concerns to Hilton Head Vacations, inc. but never received a response back.
