Very nice property that housed our family for a great weekend on the lake. Nice to have a dock to put our boat close by while not on the water. Host were very kind and accommodating. Definitely recommend this property.

The pictures donā€™t do this place justice. It is so clean and literally has any amenity you can think of. We definitely over packed for this trip! Itā€™s such a cute place, right off the water, and in a great community where it was fun to walk around and see all the wildlife and views. The water in the area was pretty rough so for those with sensitive motion sickness, it may be a challenge but there is lots of seating on land to still enjoy the lake scene.

Fun times at the lake!!

We loved the dock being able to walk directly from the house to the dock. We fished and paddled boarded around. The hot tub was awesome. Basically we were outside and in water from the lake to the outdoor shower. We also visited haha tonka state park for a hike, checked out the castle. Great time!

Last second vacation

We booked this last second for a five day vacation and it exceeded our expectations. The place was right on the water with anything you could think of. It was very clean, very orderly, with detailed instructions. The hosts were great at communicating with us and answering any questions we had in a timely manner. Would love to go back and stay there again some day.

Relaxing Get Away!

We enjoyed the hot tub, fire pit, went to Osage Beach and Ha ha Tonka State Park. We fished but the water was still cold so we only caught a few. It was nice to just relax on the dock too. The living room was so cozy and the view of the lake is awesome. The house had everything we needed. Living on lake time was an awesome break.

Stayed here with my husband for several nights

This property is gorgeous! The lake view is stunning! The hot tub was my favorite part. Extremely peaceful and private on the deck. The house was beautiful and clean. The owners made sure the check in process was seamless and were there for any questions. I highly recommend!

A Relaxing Getaway with the Family

The Powell Lakehouse was just the End of Summer fun our family was looking for before school started back for our kiddos. We booked the trip for my sons birthday and we wanted to build fun lake memories, just like I had in my childhood. The lakehouse included everything we could have asked for. The kids loved the floating mat off the dock, jumping into the water, they really had the best time of their lives! Thank you John and Kim for such an incredible time and opening your rental up to us! These are memories we will share for a lifetime.

Perfect lake getaway!!

We will be back!! Everything was great! Perfect spot on the lake, the house had great views and cozy feel, the dock was perfect for swimming, fishing, and laying out. Lake house has it all!

My wife and I stayed at the Powell house and it checked off all the boxes: immediate access to water, hot tub, outdoor grill, fire pit, very comfortable bed, and even spa robes. The living room has a very comfy couch and reclining chair, and when we weren't lounging and reading outside, we did so here in complete view of the lake. We would return in a heartbeat, and recommend this property for anyone wanting a relaxing lake experience.

Perfect COVID Getaway

We wanted to get away from home for a short time, but being more susceptible to the virus, our options were limited. This property is amazing!! Cute little house that is impeccably maintained and extremely clean was perfect. The bed in the master was amazing! Kim provides bathroom and kitchen supplies so that you don't have to pack so much. The dock area was so comfortable - nice chairs in the sun and couch and chairs in the shade. Ladder on dock made it easier to get in and out of the water. Quiet area of the lake, but plenty of boats and wave runners to watch. Multiple deck areas have tables and chairs and couch and chair areas. The hot tub was great at night and they had the fire pit all ready for us to just light and enjoy our smores! We used the gas grill numerous times. Kim was always quick to respond to my questions both prior to our trip and during our trip. We couldn't have wanted anything else! Highly recommend if you don't have a large group. Thanks, Kim!

Another fabulous stay!

I can't say enough great things about this place! This is our 3rd time at this house. It is perfect for our family of 4. The owners are amazing to work with. The extras make it perfect, such as the hottub, deck furniture, dock furniture, kayaks, etc. We have a great time just floating off the dock. When inside, the view out the large windows is amazing. The house is clean, cozy, and comfortable. A perfect COVID vacation!!!

Great lake getaway

The owners have thought of everything. There's a hot tub, fire pit, very nice dock and comfortable furniture on the deck and dock. You can lounge in the sun or the shade on the dock. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need if you want to prepare your own meals. It is a great private getaway.

It felt like home away from home

Loved the rapid water access, ease of swimming and fishing right off the dock and access to kayaks and paddle boards. Outdoor spaces are incredibly new and clean. Many deck levels ... water dock with chairs. Fire pit for sā€™mores. Deck off house with hot tub and covered pergola. Used and loved each one. Inside was nicely appointed and updated. Was ac in main living spaces that made way to bedrooms without a problem. Washer dryer in bathroom was very convenient. Loved the outdoor shower. Would definitely stay again... in fact we are coming back next summer! Thank you Kim and John.

We had the best time! The house is beautiful and we love the location. This time we ventured out on the jet skis and went to the state park which were pretty close. Fantastic outdoor spaces

Overall we were very happy with our stay at Powell Lake house and it made for a great weekend getaway. We really enjoyed all of the outdoor spaces, there is a semi-covered seating area close to the house which was great for lunches and games. The terraced back yard has multiple seating areas with views of the lakes and a nice fire pit. There is a great dock with additional seating, lounge chairs and kayaks which we used every day. The two person hot tub was great and allowed a good view of the lake. Having only one bathroom was a bit of a challenge with a family of four and was really the only negative. The shower head did break but John and Kim quickly replaced it and with a nicer fixture. There are a lot of stairs down to the house from street level, wasn't a problem for us, but could be if someone in the group has mobility issues.

Clean, Quiet, 5-Star!

Property is as nice as many resorts we stay in but gives you the privacy of a house. Nicely decorated interior and numerous outdoor seating areas with great Lake views. The owners have thought of everything and we loved every minute. So many extras in the house you donā€™t have to buy and many complimentary items. It was my Birthday and we were greeted with fresh flowers. Perfect getaway with a hot tub and lots of extras. We will be back! Thank you for a great week.

Gorgeous house in beautiful setting

It was the nicest place we ever stayed at. Loved the amenities it offered, it was a very relaxing, perfect vacation. Home owners were extremely helpful with any questions we had.

We met in 1984 on a cruise to the Mexican Riviera as teenagers, and 30 years later we are reunited. We both love the water and the ocean. John is a retired deputy and Kim is an art teacher. We hope you enjoy our home as much as we do. It is our fairy tale ending and you are a part of our story.

Because of the location on the property, you are right next to the water. There are great views and loads of windows in this quaint lake cottage. Kim was a waitress at Tan Tar A, Chief's, and Shooter's 21 when she was in college. John has always lived in Orange County CA near the ocean all his life. Living near the water is a must for this couple. Enjoy your stay!

Everything is new at this Lakehouse! The previous owner gutted the place and started fresh inside. In 2014, we added a garage and guesthouse (where we stay) on the property. New landscaping throughout the whole property in 2018. Brand new concrete dock! Privacy fence and many outdoor sitting areas. You are going to love our outdoor spaces. We do.
