We’re delighted to welcome you to our cozy Kiawah Island retreat, thoughtfully designed for comfort, relaxation, and easy island living.

Located in Inlet Cove, a private, gated community on the west end of Kiawah Island, this Kiawah Island vacation rental is set near the scenic Kiawah River. Guests enjoy access to a 25-meter community swimming pool, boat dock, and riverside cookout area. Leisure trails throughout the neighborhood provide quick and easy beach access.

Our 3-bedroom Inlet Cove cottage is nestled among mature trees, offering privacy while remaining just a short walk to the beach, pool, and Kiawah River dock. This pet-friendly Kiawah Island rental has a cozy, welcoming atmosphere, with artwork displayed throughout that adds warmth and character- ideal for couples or families.

The smoke-free cottage was renovated in early 2019, featuring an updated kitchen, modern bathrooms, and new flooring throughout. The well-stocked kitchen makes it easy to prepare meals at home. Guests enjoy wireless high-speed internet and TVs in the living area and all bedrooms. After a day at the beach or pool, relax with the home’s selection of books, games, and puzzles.

Well-behaved dogs are welcome, making this a perfect pet-friendly vacation rental on Kiawah Island for guests traveling with four-legged companions.

Great for pets

Great location and perfect for families traveling with pets. Less than ideally clean but that is expected with a place that allows animals. Host was very helpful with shower drainage issue and it was resolved the next morning. Well stocked kitchen with everything you need for cooking.

Wonderful Beach Retreat!

We thoroughly enjoyed our time on Inlet Cove in Kiawah! What a beautiful spot amount the trees. Quiet street with a short walk to the beach. The island is amazing with bike trails throughout, I felt like a kid again. The home was clean, comfy, and felt relaxing. Many great books to read and puzzles. Great experience and we will be back!

Good Location

This cottage was in a great location for the beach & access to Freshfields. It was also wonderful to be able to have our dogs with us. A few things were amiss, however. On our arrival at 4 p.m., the cleaning service was still on property and requested an additional 30 minutes to complete their service. Not a big deal, but honestly, I don't know what she was doing, just not cleaning. The cottage could use a good, deep clean. I know "dog friendly" will mean there is some wear and tear, but it was downright dirty. The floors were filthy, carpets could use a refresh and the bath mats and comforters didn't appear to have been laundered for a very long time. The refrigerator should be emptied also, there were so many condiments and food left behind - I understand not wasting things, but overall it just felt unkempt. The screened porch was absolutely filthy, the furniture (not what's pictured online) was moldy and the grill had no propane - although I don't think we would have cooked on it anyway. It needs replaced. Additionally, it would have been nice to know of the construction in the unit next door - we would have stayed elsewhere. It started before 8 a.m. on Monday morning, and continued every single day until after 8 p.m. It was very disruptive for the dogs, who barked constantly while we were in the unit on the weekdays, so not very relaxing for us. It was nice to have our dogs with us, but not exactly the trip we planned.

Family time

We have been staying in Inlet Cove for more than 30 years and it never lets us down! This cottage was no different. The property is so cozy and comfortable; the kitchen is very well stocked and this was important as we love to cook. I loved looking through the scrapbook as it let me know how much the owners also love the island.

Fabulous Accommodations

Very inviting, comfortable, well-equipped cottage in a great location. We enjoyed the pool ... But the short walk to the beach worked out great... Our favorite hangout 😎 One suggestion would be to consider replacing the king sized bed mattress...but overall...we so ENJOYED our stay & would definitely come back!!😁

Inlet cove stay

We had a wonderful stay in this cottage. The kitchen was very well appointed and full of everything you could want including all the spices needed to cook! The location was perfect and there were plenty of games, puzzles and books for a rainy day.

Wonderful dog-friendly Kiawah retreat!

Great introduction to Kiawah. Easy, short walk to the beach and close to shopping and restaurants. The unit was immaculate and well-appointed. Kitchen had a full complement of pots, pans, coffee makers, etc. Beds were comfortable and linens were well-maintained. We had a great visit and will definitely be back!

Post holiday get together

We thouroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. It was perfect for our family to meet before our daughter and son in law begin their next adventure in NC. The house has been recently renovated and was very clean - even comes equipped with all of the kitchen supplies you would need. Highly recommend this property!

Great Kiawah Week

We loved our time at this property in Kiawah. This rental was in a great location and felt like home. It had a lot more character than some places I’ve stayed, which I really appreciated. It was the perfect choice of rentals for our family vacation.

Family vacation

Our family cooks many meals and the kitchen was the best stocked kitchen in a home that we ever rented. The location is perfect and you can easily walk to the beach as well as to the inlet to watch the dolphins strand feed. Maggie was very responsive to any questions we had. We appreciated bringing our fur babies with us too. I was fortunate to see a momma sea turtle as well as the babies released into the ocean.

Great Family Place!

Well appointed kitchen for those who like to cook. Bathrooms updated. Fun and games for the kids. Beach is 7-minute walk. Beds were great - we slept well. Beach wagon was available and used daily.

Fabulous Cottage on Kiawah

We absolutely loved this cottage. From the short walk to the beach to the walkable, very friendly neighborhood. Our dog was welcomed everywhere we went, which was a huge plus. Thank you for providing such a fabulous place for our family to make wonderful memories. I would highly recommend it!

Lovely Kiawah Island

Great location just outside of the Kiawah property. Very short walk to the beach from the house. The house was super with just the right amenities for our stay. Comfy beds and lots of space for all of us. Maggie is a great host. We had a minor issue with the cable TV when we got there that only the host could solve. Maggie was responsive and got it rectified!

Wonderful getaway

We loved staying at Maggie's cottage. We cooked a full Thanksgiving meal in her kitchen and were very comfortable hosting dinner for our family. We loved being so close to the beach, which is magical. Having our dogs with us was a huge bonus. Our dogs just loved being able to run around on the beach with utter freedom. We rented bikes for the week and biked around everywhere, including the beach. Thank you for a lovely stay.

wonderful trip

We had a lovely stay, Inlet Cove is our favorite area in Kiawah and the quick walk to the beach was great for our family. Plenty of space, stocked kitchen, tons of books, puzzle and games. We are sure to go back again!

Great family vacation

We are a family of 5 adults, with one originally from Charleston, who decided to try Kiawah after seeing the listing for 79 Belmeade on VRBO. What a fabulous experience. The owner communicated well and the directions were concise and accurate. Entry to the neighborhood and house could not have been easier! The home was comfortable and in a walkable, friendly neighborhood. Access to the beach was easy, convenient and safe. Amenities within the house were a treat (screened porch, workout equipment, cable, large showers, fully equipped kitchen, etc). We will absolutely rent from this owner again. Thank you for being a fabulous place to make family memories.

I enjoy interacting with guests and introducing them to the island's beautiful spots, whether it's a peaceful beach walk or a scenic adventure. "We purchased our Inlet Cove Cottage #79 in 1980, right as Kiawah Island was just beginning to take shape. A friend who had recently bought a cottage in Sparrow Pond invited us to stay, and the following summer, we ‘went wild’ and bought our own little piece of paradise. Back then, very few people had even heard of Kiawah (we were living in Memphis, TN), and this was before the internet, VRBO, and all the online resources we have today. We relied on newspaper ads and word of mouth to rent our cottage. Over 40 years later, with our children now grown and with children of their own, we’re still able to enjoy our time in Kiawah and cherish the memories we continue to make in this special place.

We love the location - walking distance to the beach, walking distance to the river, bike riding distance to Freshfields, easy access on/off the island since you don't have to go through the main gate.
