Enjoy this home away from home! Gorgeous kitchen, nicely appointed living areas, with dining table for 6, in addition to eat-at kitchen island. The furnished screen porch with table and comfortable seating for 4, is perfect for dining or playing board games. A private deck for relaxing and lounging. Just a quick and easy walk to the beach and community pool, and this cottage even has an outdoor shower to wash the sand off your little ones after a day at the beach.

Great Place

Cottage was just as presented on website, clean, spacious, and comfortable. Pool and beach a short walk, both very nice. We really enjoyed the screened in room, ate all of our meals there. Great stay in Kiawah!

Spring Break

We truly enjoyed our stay here during Spring Break! The house is in a great location for biking and the beach. It had all of the essentials and was extremely clean!! Thank you for the lovely time!

Wonderful week away!

We enjoyed our stay and the house was very clean and well stocked with everything needed in the kitchen. Beds were comfortable. Bathrooms were small to be shared by 6 people but manageable. Location is great with easy access to pool and beach. Highly recommend renting bikes - we had so much fun biking around the island - especially in the evening. We will visit again but grocery shop before we arrive!

Spring break with tweeners

Great options between pool, nature, and soccer field served to be a great choice for 13 and 11 yr old future professional soccer players! Definitely recommend renting bikes and the details provided by hosts about dolphin viewing created an amazing experience - a highlight! Very convenient and safe. Really enjoyed the experience.

Great Cottage for families!

Great location easy quick walk to beach and pool. Nice size kitchen much larger than other properties we have stayed at in Sparrow Pond. Outdoor shower is great too!

Great stay for the family

Our family had an amazing time at this cottage! There’s great bike riding, both on paved trails and on the beach. It’s a very easy walk to the pool and the beach. And the home is in great shape with all the amenities you need. I would highly recommend this for your next beach vacation!

Beautiful Kiawah

Great area for bike riding and beach walking. Marshes were as close as the beach for a different effect. Loved it.

Great location for our family vacation

We loved our time at the Sparrow Pond cottage. It was beautifully updated and the location was wonderful. A quick walk to both the beach and pool. We enjoyed coffee and games on the outdoor screened patio and the kitchen had everything we needed on those nights we cooked and ate in. Our family of 6 loved it and would highly recommend.

Great location near family for reunion. Near beach, biking trails, and golf if that’s your sport! Saw dolphins in the early morning. No issues with the lodging. Everything was in working order.

Great Sparrow Pond Cottage

Cottage was in a great location to the beach and pool. Property was very clean, enough room for two or three couples and accurately described in photos! Would definitely rent again and Susie was very helpful as the manager of the property. She was extremely easy to work with and very prompt in answering all our questions!

Excellent, modern, convenient cottage

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at your excellent cottage. It was very clean, modern, and beautifully appointed with all the necessities. We found it to be very convenient, both in it's layout and in it's proximity to things at the West Beach end of Kiawah. We enjoyed quick and easy access to the beach and pool, to several golf courses, and also to things we wanted to do away from Kiawah, such as the Bohicket Marina, the Angel Oak, and Charleston.

Kiawah Dream

I’ve been going to Kiawah for well over 30 years and know the island well. This one of the best properties I have stayed in and the location in The West Beach area is ideal. The actual cottage is exactly as advertised and was extremely well equipped (we like to cook and bbq). The property manager, Susie, was great with communication and immediately responsive to any questions we had. We will be staying here again, without hesitation. Absolute perfection!

Wonderful week!

We love Kiawah and had a great experience here once again. We've been coming for 20 years and it is the first time we've used Susie. We love her! Wish we had known about her before. The property was great and we would definitely stay here again.

KIAWAH COTTAGE IN SPARROW POND

We really enjoyed our stay at the Sparrow Pond Cottage. We found it to be fully supplied with everthing necessary for a comfortable stay. The kitchen is newly remodeled and fully equipped. We enjoyed the screened in patio and gas grill for cooking out. Pool and beach access were very close too ! We look forward to returning to soon! Also, the manager is very nice and quick to respond to any questions!

Charming villa and VERY functional

My family of 5 found the villa to be very charming and extremely functional. It was well maintained and comfortable and perfect for our beach vacation. It had the space we needed for 3 young children (ages 5, 5 and 1 1/2) and offered an outdoor shower which was perfect for after the beach, a hose for rinsing sand toys, washer/dryer for washing clothes and a delightful sunroom for enjoying all our meals. Additionally, Susie the property manager was fabulous. She was always available, very responsive and handled matters appropriately. Thank you!

Perfect Kiawah Spot

Everything about the property was as advertised. Having linens and towels along with items such as trash bags and dish soap is really a nice touch. The screened in porch is nice but the deck area was even better. The beds were very comfortable and the bathrooms were all great. The pool is terrific and right between the beach and the property, there is even a small baby pool in the corner. The proximity to the main gate makes it easy to get to Freshfields, even by bike. The property manager was extremely responsive and had everything emailed to me well in advance. I would have booked another week if I didn't have to work :).

Great Honeymoon

We were at Sparrow Pond from May 26th through June 2nd and hated to leave. Our last minute decision to come to Kiawah Island and rent this cottage turned out to be a great experience. The wonderful professional and personal service from Susie made this a pleasant experience. The cottage in itself was everything we were looking for, secluded but not isolated, close to the beach with wonderful shaded pathways for walking in the community. The wonderful grill provided us with great meals on the screened in porch where we relaxed every morning and evening. We will always remember Sparrow Pond Cottage and our wedding on the beach. Wonderful

We had a problem in our initial rental elsewhere on St Johns Island and needed to find a rental last minute. Unbelievably, this cottage was available and the agent responded to our need and got us into the cottage the same day! We were so thankful for Susie's help and when we arrived, we couldn't believe how great the cottage was. it was so comfortable and homey, in a beautiful private quiet setting, only a short walk to the beach along a pathway through a nature area. The cottage cost a little more than our previous choice but there was no comparison: the location was great, the cottage was updated conveniently, it was clean and had absolutely everything we needed! The beach was spectacular! We realized that sometimes things can work out so much better than expected. We were thankful for this lovely cottage and for Susie's handling of our predicament. THANK YOU SUSIE! We would love to return again.

good spot

This house has some really great qualities--the location is perfect--in a very quiet neighborhood that is both a very quick bike ride or very quick walk to the beach; the kitchen is terrific--we only cooked in because of C-19, and we are cooks, and we did not wish for anything; the screened in porch is great; the beds are really comfy; the water pressure and hot water are great. The decor is a smidge dated--we don't esp care about that. The TV is a smart TV, but it's not set up for streaming--that is the one update that definitley should be made (it's 2020 and a pandemic is happening, so you can't go out much). We saw a few more palmetto bugs than we would have preferred, but whew, Susie O, the property manager was on it. And Susie is a definite plus--really nice, very and swiftly responsive and helpful--you just know you're in good hands. The place we usually rent was not available. It overlooks one of the lagoons, which we loved and missed very much, so we probably would not stay here again because we want a place over a lagoon. But we would definitely work with Susie to find one.

In 2007, a friend on nearby Seabrook Island asked me if I would help her rent her villa also. Since I loved helping people plan their vacations in the area, I obtained my South Carolina Property Manager's License and began a business - Kiawah By Owner.
