The Beach House on Playa Flamingo is a beachfront home centered on the most prestigious, pristine, white sand beach on Costa Rica’s North Pacific Coast. This 5 bedroom, 4.5 bath home, easily accommodates 10 people . Please Read Our Reviews!

Being on the center of this beach gives our unique location an unparalleled access to Flamingo Beach and view of the islands and year round sunsets. You also have the convenience of walking down the beach to Flamingo Village. Wake up to the gentle sound of surf, sit on the deck and pour yourself a fresh cup of Costa Rican coffee and watch the kids play on the beach or in the pool. Although many rentals in the area claim to be on or in Playa Flamingo, most are not. There is only ONE Flamingo Beach and we are on the center of it!

We offer the services of a full time cook at your convenience for a very reasonable rate that goes directly to her. The cook's own menu at the house includes everything from a variety of local Costa Rican dishes and North American favorites to different ways of grilling the fish you caught that day on our BBQ. She’s also happy to teach you how to make fresh homemade tortillas! All you pay for are the groceries and her weekly rate. The chef cooks in the outdoor kitchen.
And… if that’s not enough, the “Toes in the sand” dining of Coco Loco is right there with menu and ambiance second only to us.

Enjoy being beachfront on Flamingo Beach with a private swimming pool and tropical outdoor pool and barbecue grill. Take advantage of our Wireless internet as you enjoy your favorite snacks, meals, drinks and major sporting events poolside. Or leave the world behind. With the beach only a few steps away, you can enjoy your cold drink on the warm sand. You're close enough to go back for a refill!

We have retained Costa Rica's 'Pura Vida' (pure life) ambiance upstairs with a variety of native hardwoods. Downstairs is a spacious living area with entertainment center, a suite and two ocean view bedrooms, a large guest bathroom and shower, Teak ceiling, an office area with a desk, computer and broadband wireless internet set up.

The rest of the property includes a back yard area surrounded by a tropical forest great for viewing a variety of Costa Rican wildlife such as Howler Monkeys and many species of tropical birds, flora and fauna.

Flamingo also boasts the area’s largest sport fishing, sailing, diving and water sports fleet with near-by surfing for all your ocean enjoyment. At the Beach House, we can help you arrange everything from transportation, all tours and activities to personal massages at the house.

We only rent to one group at a time. You will always have the entire property to yourself except for the outdoor kitchen which is used by the chef. Flamingo Beach Village is within walking distance where you will find restaurants, groceries, salon, disco, casino, pharmacy and Ocean activities.

We are owner managed, available locally and dedicated to making your Costa Rica vacation relaxing, comfortable and memorable.

This was the perfect place for our family! We could enjoy both the beach and the pool. The kids were aged from 2-11 and adults included the grandmother who loved having fun with them. We had Ivonne cook lunch and dinner and she was great. Not having to go out made it so nice. The kitchen is much too small too cook more than simple things like oatmeal for 10!!

Wonderful Family Vacation

Our week at Casa Playa was great. The house and pool worked out well for our 3 generation’s family of 9. Ivonne’s cooking was excellent and Jasmina kept the house clean and orderly. Basically, we were spoiled! The beach is only steps away, but it’s a popular place (especially at sunset) and watching the cars trying to park and navigate the narrow road was interesting and entertaining. All-in-all, it was a vacation that we won’t soon forget!

Treat yourself and hire Yvonne as your chef. Food is delicious. Jasmine keeps the house so fresh and clean. We have stayed here 2 years in a row and would not stay any where else. Yvonne and Jasmine are like gamilu.

The best location

Nice house on the beach with a great pool. The house keeper, Jasmina and the chef Yvonne made the stay wonderful. The view from the house was awesome. The house is a bit worn and but we would come back.

Fantastic Place

The property is amazing!! The pool is cleaned frequently and very nice! The house keeper Jasmina and Ivonne the Chef are the best!! Place is very clean and food is amazing! Booked excursions with Jonas and they were great experiences. Everyone wants to come back.

Amazing Stay

All around excellent visit. Having Chey Ivonne support the weeks meals was the best addition to our trip. Catering to both local cuisine and young kids was a huge benefit. You can not beat the location and amenities of this spot. Overall, this stay proved to be one of our best experiences with rentals. Appreciate all the work and communication that went into it! :)

Absolutely magical

This house was absolutely perfect for us. There were 8 of us and the house accommodated us perfectly. I highly recommend enlisting the services of the house chef; we ate amazing meals with a beautiful view from the comfort of the house for almost very meal. The sunset view every evening from the deck is gorgeous. We cannot recommend this house enough.

The house was great, but Jasmina, the housekeeper and Yvonne, the chef made the place amazing. We ate out a few times, but found Yvonne’s cooking to be much better! Jasmina kept the house immaculate every day, so we didn’t make our bed, set tables, cleaned off tables or do dishes. Our trip was a trip of a life time! The ocean was steps from our door, the pool was warm, and we were next door to a restaurant/ bar. Great location!

Couples Vacation

Overall the property was very clean and spacious. The location is right across the street from the beach and right next to the Coco Loco! The property manager Enis was so easy to communicate with. She replied promptly to any needs or questions. Jasmina kept the home clean and tidy. We ended up hiring the chef Yvonne and we do not regret it. We will be back!

The Staff makes it a 5-star experience

We stayed 7 nights at the Beachhouse with 2 adults/2 kids. I rate the house a 4/5 and the Staff a 10/5, so an overall 5/5. Enis (property manager) was helpful and very responsive via WhatsApp. Jasmina cleans each day, and Ivonne is your personal chef. Our only regret is not using Ivonne for more meals. She made a courtesy welcome meal, and we had her cook breakfast and lunch on our last full day. She is an amazing cook, very accommodating, and pours love into her food. Ivonne and Jasmina are amazing, kind ladies and we enjoyed getting to know them. I highly recommend sitting down with Ivonne and planning out at least a few meals. You won’t regret it. Dinner out - Surf Box, Hemingways, and Gracia were some of our faves. The one key thing to know is the house is split into two floors with an outdoor staircase connecting the two separate areas. We spent little time in the house aside from sleeping, so we got used to it pretty quickly and it didn’t damper our experience. The upstairs has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen, dining room, and living area. It also has the sprawling deck with a large dining table and lounge seating that is a perfect spot to watch sunsets. The downstairs has three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a living area, and a small area that has a mini refrigerator, coffee maker, and a few plates/utensils. The private pool was a great perk, as was the outdoor pool bathroom.Overall, our family has fond memories of a terrific week at the Beachhouse. Pura Vida!

Terrific Vacation in Costa Rica

Beach House Flamingo made for an absolutely fabulous vacation! We stayed 9 days. House was awesome, staff was professional, helpful and really terrific. Even with some language barriers we all made it through and it actually made it really fun (lots of laughs all around as we were communicating). We mostly ate at the house (cook was terrific!), but went out a couple of times and there are lots of options nearby that were all great. The owner also checked a couple of times to make sure things were going well. Highly Recommended!

70th Bday celebration

We were a group of 6, 3 brothers and their wives. We had a tremendous week! The location is fantastic! Steps to the beach and our own pool. We hired Evonne the chef and everyday was perfect. Enis the property manager suggested the services we used from set up on the beach to massages done on our terrace overlooking the ocean to the excursions we took with private transportation included. We fished and caught our dinner for several nights, hiked to the Leona Falls and white water rafted down the tenerio river. What a beautiful country and friendly helpful people. We loved every minute of it!

Third trip to Playa Flamingo

Have already booked our fourth trip. Enis (property manager) was great to work with. Jasmine keep the place clean and was great to have around. Yvonne’s food was the best, and our child with celiac disease never ate better. We loved all of her food and never wanted to go out to eat. The location of the house was perfect. The sunsets were beautiful and the music at Coco Loco was great to enjoy from our deck. We rented a pop up and chairs for the beach from Walter. We used Jonas for transportation from the airport and rented golf carts for the house. Pura vida

Location location location

This property is directly across from the beach and has the most amazing sunrises and sunsets. The bedrooms are large and there’s plenty of room for everybody to spread out. The pool was a wonderful addition for us to be able to socially distance and still be outside enjoying the wonderful weather. Really the only thing about the property is that the kitchen in the house is not suitable to cook your own meals you really will need to go out to eat or hire the chef. But we would stay here again for sure it was a wonderful experience there were 10 of us for a week and a half and it was a good time.

Christmas break

We stayed the week before Christmas. The house had a great layout (we had early risers upstairs & late sleepers downstairs). The chef has her own space in the building next to the pool. The bathrooms were all renovated & so pretty. We loved having every meal overlooking the beach on the upstairs balcony. Yvonne was an amazing chef & the sweetest person. She & Yasmina made our trip so special. The location is great. The beach wasn’t crowded. It’s an easy walk to town to get ice cream or go shopping. We loved having our own pool as well. Jonas did a good job of arranging excursions for us as well as transportation to and from the airport. I miss being there!

Great stay & location

This stay was loved by all! My husband actually stayed here 13 years ago, the house has been remodeled nicely. We utilized the chef 4 of our 7 nights for dinner and had plenty of leftovers for lunch. Costa Rica (in my opinion, this was our third visit) is not a Foodie destination, however her food was fantastic!! We also went to Coco Loco (next door) and Patagonia Del Mar 9Both recommended and fantastic!) The housekeeper, Jasmine was so sweet with the kids who are learning Spanish, asking about numbers and colors, and kept the house tip-top. Lydia the house manager was always available to answer questions and wanted our feedback on the house when we left. Location- the best! You had a pool, then went through a yard gate, and you were on the beach in 15 feet. we highly recommend this home!

Great house and location

Highly recommended!! We (6 adults) spent 5 days at this villa last week. Enis (property manager) met us when we arrived and went through the entire house with us. She introduced us to Jasmina (daily cleaning) and Ivonne (chef). Jasmina kept the place immaculate and we hired Ivonne for three days. Every meal was delicious and her willingness to accommodate dietary needs was great. The house is very spacious, private pool very refreshing, beach access across the street is very convenient and Coco Loco restaurant next door for different cocktails and snacks was great. Doesn’t get much better than breakfast on the top porch looking at the beach or hors d’oeuvres in the afternoon with sunset. Looking forward to our next time in Costa Rica. Pura Vida!!

Best Vacation Ever!

Such a beautiful location, great for families! The sunset views are amazing! We loved playing with our grandsons in the beautiful pool and in the surf. So fun to see the manta rays playing in the waves, and being only steps away from the beach. Ivonne is a fabulous chef, we had absolutely delicious meals everyday! Jasmina kept this beautiful home meticulously clean, and both ladies were so incredibly sweet, and loved on our sweet boys so much, they felt like family! We so enjoyed our time getting to know them! They definitely put this property over the top of any place we’ve ever stayed! Alvaro, yourbestbeachconcierge, was our “go-to” guy for everything from beach chairs to hiking! Coco Locos next door has wonderful ceviche, and it was so nice to just run over and grab a cocktail anytime we wanted! This vacation was so much more than just a beautiful home… it was the wonderful people who made us feel so welcome! Can’t recommend this property highly enough!

50th Birthday Bash

Upon arrival the group of 7 knew we had made the right decision to pick this location and this house. The rooms were all very accommodating for our mixed group. Bathrooms had been updated very nicely. We were greeted by Chef Yvonne who was already preparing our 1st night dinner! Enis the Property Manager arrived shortly and gave a great introduction to the house and obligations (which were easy to abide by). I definitely would recommend having Chef Yvonne take care of your needs for the week. We choose a brunch/breakfast at 10ish, Appetizers around 3pm and dinner at 7pm. It was well worth it. Then you have this fairy there daily, Jasmina, who is just picking up, cleaning, changing out towels, the whole 9 yards! The view of sunset each evening from the upstairs porch is remarkable! Pool is great. Beach is great. Walking distance to marina, shops and a restaurant next door. We wanted a calm, relaxing quiet area and that is definitely what we got. Felt no issues with privacy with the road between house and beach. Lydia the house owner was so nice to help set things up on the front end to make it a great stay! Lastly, MASSAGES - if you don't reach out to Maria of Ofra Beach Massage, you will be missing out! We had them come to the house 4 out of our 6 days! Early morning with the waves crashing in the background. You can't paint a better picture. I could go on and on; but the talks have already began about going back next year!

Great location, very clean, Trucks annoying

Great spot across from the beach, beautiful view, Beautiful sunsets, really nice beach for swimming and walking. Great location, walking distance to a few restaurants Yazmina kept the house spotless, and brought fresh towels every day. Manager was extremely responsive. Just a couple of things i wish I knew beforehand. The lower level only connects to upstairs by outdoor staircase. Because of this downstairs could use more kitchen amenities. The road in front is very active. Daily large delivery trucks for Coco loco often park in front and idle their motors for extended periods. They come throughout the day. Breakfast on the patio was frequently a bummer, to the point I asked one to please turn off engine or move away. Not a lot of privacy in pool area with workers hanging out in front, wall height allows passersby and truck drivers to peer right in. All in all a very beautiful property, but the trucks will prevent us from returning.

Really wonderful vacation at Beach House Flamingo

We loved our stay at Beach House Flamingo. We were there for two weeks with 6 other friends - and had a wonderful time. There was plenty of room for the 8 of us. The weather was perfect, Yvonne (the chef) was just fantastic, and Erika took great care of us, any issues and (unexpectedly) all of our laundry. The location is phenomenal; we got up early every morning for a walk on the beach -(right across the street from the house) and later in the day we spent time either in the ocean or in the pool. My wife and I were/are interested in learning Spanish, so we went to CPI every morning (about 1 KM from the house) while the others did different things. It was one of the most relaxing and peaceful and fun filled and tasty vacations we have ever had. We are already planning to return in 2017. Yvonne's cooking was great and we enjoyed shopping with her and practicing our Spanish. Just a great vacation that we are all still talking about.

Beautiful house, beautiful location

What a wonderful stay! My family and I had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful rental house in Playa Flamingo, and I can confidently say it was one of the best vacation experiences we've had. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the stunning views, spacious layout, and modern amenities of the house. The beach was stunning, and we spent hours playing in the waves. The people also made the house exceptional. I can't say enough about Yvonne, the chef. Each meal was a highlight, from fresh seafood to traditional Costa Rican dishes, all made with the finest local ingredients. Her warm and friendly personality made dining feel like a special event, and we looked forward to every meal with her. Jasmina, the housekeeper, was equally amazing. She kept the house immaculate throughout our stay. Her attention to detail was impeccable. It was clear that she took great pride in her work, and her kindness was a joy to experience. The house itself was perfect for our family – spacious, with beautiful open areas, and an inviting outdoor space to enjoy the incredible weather. We spent many hours lounging by the pool, playing on the beach, and enjoying the tranquility of the community. The restaurant right next door was also a highlight. What a great stay. Book the house if you can!

Pura Vida Costa Rica

This house is amazing! There is a short list of houses on the beach at Playa Flamingo. This is one of them. Right next door to one of the best restaurants in the area. Do NOT rent this house without chef Yvonne!! She is a steal of a deal! The food is amazing and it truly makes it a real vacation! Evelyn is at the house every day and will do anything and everything you ask. Both of these women try out their heart into everyday! Jose is the night guard. We were so thankful we could sleep a little Sounder I'm mm owing we were safe our entire trip. With that said....we never felt unsafe. The country has no army!! They are beyond environmentally friendly. True Pura Vida!!

I have owed this beachfront property for over 6 years. I have a full time cleaning lady who will be present during my guests stay. There's also a chef who is willing to cook all your meals while you enjoy your stay. She will provide you with an estimate of the costs prior to your visit. I also have a property manager who will be available to greet you on the day of your arrival and on the day of your departure. Any questions you may have regarding the home, will be answered by my property manager.

Casa Playa is located on the beautiful Flamingo beach. There is a balcony where you can enjoy your morning breakfast, lunch or dinner and watch the beautiful sunsets. Casa Playa is a 5 bedroom, 4.5 bath home with a private pool and an area for the children to play. There are several outdoor furniture and also a Tiki bar.

You can go from the ocean to your private pool within one minute. Having the closest pool and bar to Flamingo Beach. Watching an unobstructed Sunset into the water 365 days a year. Simply being on Playa Flamingo itself.
