New Garden Bungalow In A Tropical Setting.

This new, bright and modern furnished bungalow is surrounded by a lush tropical garden. Enjoy the garden view from your private spacious terrace. You share the pool area with the guests from the main building which consists of 4 units. The bungalow is brand new; it is fully equipped, has ceiling fans, AC, flat screen TV, screened windows and a queen size bed. Right now we working on the final decoration for the opening on the 15th of June. The location is perfect, just a 2 minutes walk to the beautiful white sand Costambar beach. In a 5 minutes radius you find 2 restaurants and 2 pizza places and a grocery store. Relax on our spacious pool area reserved for our in-house guests. After taking a sunbath, enjoy our gazebo overlooking the tropical garden. Costambar is a gated beachfront community. All the amenities like the golf course, modern gym, SPA, tennis courts, beach bars and restaurants are in walking distance. If you want to explore Puerto Plata by yourself, you find Public Transport to the center of Puerto Plata at the Costambar entrance gate. Take a ride with the cable car to Mount Isabel and spent some refreshing hours 800m above sea levels or explore the historic town center of Puerto Plata. We also arrange pick up from the airport during day time and we can organize private half day, 1 day or 2 day excursions to all major tourist attractions on the North Coast. Be our Guest!

A 💎 gem!!

I arrived a little late. The owners left the keys for me to get in. Bertha stopped by to see if I needed anything. I had their contact information if I needed anything. The bungalow was nestled among a lot of trees. Their pool was refreshing. The beach was a five minute walk away. Property located inside security gate. It felt very safe. The beach was clean. The water was clear. This was a great spot for two people! I parked outside their gate. This was convenient and very close. Their price was very reasonable. Yes, I would stay in the future with no hesitation.

Close to the beach

The place is good. It is very close to the beach and actually quite quiet. I think the sleeping the "3 people" advertisement is a bit of a stretch; but did not affect me as I was "solo". The only interaction I had with the hosts was Sonya (the daughter). She helped me out (big time) during a "senior" moment. The mosquitos were quite bad on the deck in front of the house...but this of course had nothing to do with the house itself. The house has everything you need and the cost is right. Oh, maybe some coffee cups would be nice... Thanks for the accommodations.

Like a second home

Upon arrival I felt welcome immediately and knew I had made the right choice for my solo 2 week stay. Grounds are so pretty with orchids and hibiscus and song birds to wake up to. The casita had everything I needed and was comfortable with just ceiling fans, any issues were minor and dealt with rapidly.. Pool area is very pretty and calming. Walk to the beach in mere minutes, as well as many restos. Again, it is the hospitality of the property owners, who are lovely, as well as the Dominican people that I love most, so will be back in April. If you want tranquility and a non-resort experience stay here!

This was my second time time renting an apartment at this location...again the owners hospitality was amazing! Private, and lovely

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this lovely little bungalow. It is just steps away from the beach, and a close walk to the grocery store for supplies. It has a lovely pool and garden, and is very secluded and safe from other properties.The host Michael is very accommodating and helpful .There are several nice restaurants nearby for dinner.The beach is a mix of locals and tourists and small beach cafes and bars, quite quiet. Perfect home away from home !

Michael and Bertha were wonderful hosts and problem solvers .... always available to help and happy to look at ways they can improve on making your stay great . As a person with a disability I needed a no stair place close to the beach and this was it ! I also had friends who lived close by. Quiet, comfortable, cool ( rarely used the air) ... with water delivery, laundry, pool, a good fridge and freezer, a generator ( barely could tell when the power was out ), and super wifi for those of us who still need to work ! I enjoyed being at home, patting Blacky their super friendly dog, and resting .... grateful for Nancy who cleaned my place and changed sheets and towels too.... loved it ! It was perfect for me! Thank you !

Great Great Great

This bungalow is located in a private secluded property within a lush tropical garden. Great place for a couple who want privacy, peace and quiet. The bungalow is very clean, and has an a/c in the bedroom for those hot nights. There is a kitchenette, and nice size living room with T.V. and wi-fi. Bertha the owner is the nicest person, and met all our requests with a big smile. There also is a swimming pool which is within the property. Overall this was a pleasant two week stay. And I do highly recommend.

The bungalow was great. It was clean and accommodating.

The bungalow was nice. Blackee, the resident German Shepard was always there to make you feel safe. Everything is within walking distance. I wish the price of the bungalow was a little more to offset running the air conditioner. Other than that, it was perfect.

Beautiful!!!!

We stayed 1 week at Michael Hanh's Garden Bungalow & had an amazing vacation ( despite some days of torrential rain, can't control the weather) - the bungalow is really nice, plenty of room and the kitchen is well stocked. The garden is stunning, love Blackie their dog, you can bet you feel safe with him there :) Michael & Berta are amazing hosts - I left my thyroid medication at home and was worried how I could get it, well I didn't need to worry, Berta asked me the drug name & dosage and went to the pharmacy - explained to them my situation and viola she brings me the medication. Saved my trip experience to say the least. The property is so peaceful, beach is gorgeous, and the beach bars & local people are so friendly & helpful, we were offered rides when walking to the store in the rain many times. I can't wait to return for another vist. Thanks very much. Joe & Janet

Quiet Perfection

This bungalow sits perfectly on the property offering privacy and freedom. The beach is so close that I never used the pool! There are plenty of places to eat on the beach and stores to buy groceries. I stayed alone, but it is definitely big enough for a couple. A very relaxing space to spend time in. Thanks!

Cozy

Great NEW, cozy, bungalow. All of the amenities you need for a relaxed vacation. The owner is very attentive, and the property is filled with beautiful vegetation throughout the landscaping. The bungalow is located within a very short walk of the beach, many restaurants, and 2 convenience stores. I've went on holiday in the Costambar area twice a year over the previous 5 years, and this is by far the best place I've stayed. I immediately booked my second stay for later this month with Michael. I never write reviews, but this place was worth the effort.
